I came across the same problem when I tried to adjust the flight plan in flight. I have also lost complete control of the plane. Trying to restart now

Just a thought for the future.... Maybe... not sure but..... maybe once a plane reaches a certain point of development, say Wide Beta.......We could maybe pre-order the plane so that when it comes out...... all we would have to do is log in and download.... Might help the servers a little on release day. Anyways, just a thought. Feel free to shoot me down in a giant fiery blaze.

I am currently flying and I was looking around the virtual cockpit, and I noticed something rather odd to be in a 747(or indeed a plane at all). In the corner behind the manual shelves is a pogo stick. Does this really come with a new purchase of a 747-400?

I am currently a chief pilot for American Flight Airways. While it isn't a real world airline, it does have everything your looking for. As long as you can fly once a month, its all up to you. We have a great charter center as well as an active forum. One question that I have about the APU is will it burn fuel? I have noticed that the PMDG 747 and the Level-D 767 APU's don't burn any fuel. Perhaps a bit of added realism for the future.

I flew to Australia in a 737 by going the other way around the world. Cross the Atlantic and then down through Egypt, India and the Philippines to Sydney. Just in case you didn't want to stretch your ETOPS limits. There are more legs also so you can get more experience before you get home.

Perhaps just a ticker for the next plane that shows the number of bugs/ issues reported or that need to be worked on.Just my 2 cents

I know on the 767 also, there is a message that displays in the cockpit. Again you would have to land and inspect.

Did you use the repair option or uninstall for the PMDG 747?

Reinstall and make sure to click run and yes on all the windows that pop up.That was the problem I was having.You might have to completely uninstall and the install for it to work.

I guess I missed one because after another reinstall, I made sure to hit run on everything and now it works. Thanks Eric

After a recent reinstall of FSX and the PMDG 747-400 I now get this errorAfter the error appears FSX freezes and shuts down. Please help me.

I like to sit and watch the entire flight while I'm flying so I wind up pausing a good bit. Sometimes I will pause minimize FSX and then put my computer to sleep mode for the night if its a long flight that I can't finish yet. I used this method many times before and experienced no problems. However this morning when I came back to the flight I found that all fuel from Main tanks 1 and 4 had been drained and engines 1 and 4 were off due to lack of fuel. Once I reconfigured cross feed and hit the starters they fired up, but where did my fuel go?

I don't have a problem. I just want to give a really big thumbs up to whoever programed the auto-land. I just made a truly spectacular landing that I never would have be able to make flying by hand. I wish I had some screen shots or a video but I was too distracted by the landing to remember to get some.

They always leave the landing gear down for the entire first flight of every new airplane. "Just in case" I believe is the reason.John Guidry

I fixed the problem by changing what the axis on my joystick controls from the wing surfaces to the rudder. Everything works except the taxi lights no longer rotate with the gear. But that is something I can live with.

There has already been a flight by a 777 LR from Singapore to London headed East. They brought it out to the runway with engines off and only the basics on board. Not even extra seats were allowed.John Guidry

I have found several posts saying to fly the tutorial flights but I can not find them anywhere on the PMDG website or the forum. Can you give me the link to them or else tell me where I am not looking for them. ThanksJohn Guidry

I just purchased this and am still learning but the biggest issue I have right now is that the autopilot will not engage. The IRS' s are all aligned and I have to flight programed into the FMC, the flight director and auto throttle is on. I don't know what else to do.Please help me!!!!John Guidry
