just purchased the CRJ nextGen and must stress my complete disappointment with the product. The instrument panel functions are similar to the old original flight simulator ones brought out by Microsoft way back in the 1960's . Half of them have no function when they do work no indication that they are working? Nowhere near the standards of the PMDG or Q400 from majestic. In my opinion a waste of money. recommend to steer well away from this one. Mel EGGD

Need some guidance. Have read the manual in some detail, but cannot get RC 4 to work. I am flying the PMDG 737 and saved the Fp in both fsx and pmdg. After starting and positioning acft at gate I load the RC4 and see the red box on the left of the monitor with the next way point listed, atis frequency and clearance (2) but nothing happens...no sound is heard, no reaction from the keyboard, then cannot get RC4 to full screen again to see what the issue is and to run the log file?? I am running on windows 7 v64bit on dell dimension (no capacity issues here) I tried testing the voices on the tab but nothing is heard, except to see the message "programme not responding" which hangs. The only way to get rid of that is to use the ALT+DEL option. I have tried uninstall and re-install but nada! B) please advise what to do thanks Mel EGLL

Interesting> i followed the instructions perfectly and find that I am now unable to scroll through the various windows any longer. Just the captains VC view. are there any specific settings that will enable me to scroll using the "A" key to the second officers view? thanks Mel

In downloading the latest Navigraph set for the NGX the old FADN airport(including stars etc) have now been replaced by the new airport FALE. Does anyone know whether it is possible to add "new" airports to FSX and if so how would that be accomplished? all the best Mel

Is there a switch somewhere to light the tail during night flying? not found one no matter how much reading I have done. second question: there is a new airport in Durban South Africa (FALE) which is now on the fms and the old airport (FADN) no longer appears. yep, flaps 30 fms indicated speed vref 125 but that was way to slow sinking feeling

interested in understanding what speed should be used during the final approach. recent flight into EGJJ on rnwy27 (BMI Baby 600) the fms indicated 126@30deg flap.. using this I ended up "sinking" along the last 1 mile of the flight with the Angle of attack approaching a full take off view? added throttle to around 150 and this seemed to settle things down and enabled a safe landing. Interested in hearing about the "correct" speed on this critical part of the flight. thanks

i wonder if there is a way of adding an ILS frequency to fsx. The last flight EGGP-EICK had me using RNWY 35 at EICK and no ils/vor showed up on the instruments. the VOR frequency did not engage either. I tried looking at the fsx map and zoomed in as far as possible, but could not see if there was an ILS frequency. the navigraph has it as a runway ILS frequency. thanks

can anyone explain how to change the various panels views. the default is the vc view from the Captains side: to get to the overhead panel, i have to press the "A" key some 7 times to arrive at the overhead panel. I know that there are various shift keys that bring up the FMC (Shift+3) and the pedastal etc but it would be great to have a quick key to access the overhead panel. me bieng lazy? thanks Mel

no still there but randomly. the issue was crashing of FSX on start up. I was advised that the best was to start fsx with a msft default aircraft and that seems to have done the trick as far as fsx crashing on start up if the J41 was the default aircraft. the windscreen flashing appears occaisionaly but setting the config to medium excluding the ice alerts seems to have stopped the issuehope that helpsMel

thanks. I have installed the J41, BUT now have the issue when loading FSX initial screen and changing from my default acft (pmdg 737ng) to the J41 the J41 image comes up and then bang! crash msft fatal error and fsx restarting??? any clues?thanksMel

guys,i have reinstalled my J41 as I experienced an awesome flicker in all quadrants of the screen, (no idea what causes this but it is totally frustrating having suddenly appeared and only on this acft). the version that I have is 10.1016.does this include sp1? I ask as the pmdg website under service updates does not show a SP1 and I assume that the version on the PMDG site includes the SP1.hopefully by reinstalling the model, I can eliminate that awful screen blankingthanksMel

Is there anyway by changing the acft config file that I can set a zoom say 30 as a default setting? the reason for asking is that i usually have to spend some time playing around trying to get the correct settings. I guess one way of handling this would be to save the flight and then choose departure airport etc.but it would be great if I could just load the J41 and have the zoom 30 as a default.my screen is a dell 23" with a default setting of 2048X1152.any ideas welcomedthanks
