  1. Wow. I'm really interested in this new feature coming from Sayintentions.AI as listed in their "Vectors to Final" newsletter email. It just keeps getting better and better: VATSIM/IVAO Departure Handoffs Coming Monday We're bridging the gap between human and AI ATC with our new VATSIM Departure Handoffs feature, launching on our experimental server this Monday. What This Means for You: Seamless Transition: Start your flight under VATSIM ATC coverage and effortlessly transition to SayIntentions.AI as you depart controlled airspace. Smooth Communication: Our AI ATC will proactively reach out once you're handed off to Unicom, ensuring an uninterrupted experience. Maintain Continuity: Keep your assigned squawk code. Retain your flight plan and clearances. Why You'll Love It: This feature ensures that your flight remains immersive and realistic, even when moving beyond VATSIM's coverage areas. No more abrupt silences or manual adjustments—just pure, continuous ATC coverage.
  2. I'm curious about this as well. Especially about the DHL and Amazon Hub cargo ramps which is the busiest part of KCVG these days. I'm surprised they didn't post more pictures of this area unless it's not modeled well. Can anyone that may have it advise?
  3. Same on my end......cannot reach server.....
  4. Perhaps this has been suggested before, I'm not sure, or maybe it's already possible and I don't know about it, but with the import of a Simbrief FP, other information is available such as the aircraft type and takeoff weight. Could P2A use this information to 'automatically' select the 'Heavy' option when importing the Callsign in the Config menu instead of having to select this checkbox manually? Eric
  5. So, after a few more flights, I've noticed a trend on why some of my flightplans may not import to the G1000nxi. It may be a Simbrief thing although I'm not completely positive or it could be Navigraph, again not sure. Here's what I notice: If I create a Simbrief flightplan with a 'DEPARTURE' and 'DESTINATION' airports with the standard ICAO identifier starting with a 'K' (ie-KPWK) the flight plan imports to the FSR500 tablet ok and also imports to the G1000nxi ok. If either the 'DEPARTURE' OR 'DESTINATION' do not have the 4 digit identifer such as '60R', Simbrief adds a 'K' to it for planning purposes. However, the FSR500 tablet will import the Simbrief flightplan ok but it will not import to the G1000nxi. In the tablet the airport whose identier starts with a 'K' will show all charts, but for the airport of 60R (for example) no charts are shown in the tablet. Entering the flightplan manually into the G1000nxi, if you enter the airport of 60R it will show charts then. Sorry, not sure all that makes sense.
  6. Thank you. Yes, I do have the send flight plan to G1000 toggle selected. 9.9 times out of 10 it works fine. Just once in a while it simply won't send even on re-import but not a huge deal. Just wanted to report to see if anyone else was experiencing. Sounds like you're already on it Thank you for your excellent aircraft.....I can't stop flying it and look forward to future enhancements. Eric
  7. Periodically, I will download / import the Simbrief Plan and it shows on the tablet but does not import into the G1000nxi. Hitting the re-import button still does not load it into the G1000nxi. Anyone else have this issue? (sorry, if i missed it in another thread) It's random and does not happen all the time and I just manually enter the flightplan into the G1000nxi. Also, there are times when the Navigraph charts do not show on the tablet for my destination airport (nothing under the drop downs on the tablet for Airport, Arrival, Dep, Approach) but the charts show fine on the G1000nxi. Again, anyone else have this issue? If this is a bug, which it seems to be for me at least, maybe it will be fixed in the next update. Loving this airplane. Absolutely wonderful and these issues are minor to me and I have just been dealing with it.
  8. This happened to me today as well. I was in the FSR500.
  9. The proper way to use the autopilot (as mentioned above) is to switch to heading mode when reaching a waypoint, set the HSI needle to the new heading towards the next waypoint and then when the CDI bar centers, switch back to TRK LO/HI mode. However, if you're like me and on a little bit longer flight (and your wife often interrupts your flying) and have to get up and leave the computer, this autopilot will still follow the whole flightplan by itself to the destination. I did 2 flights yesterday with this method and had no probems with the autopilot following the whole flightplan without me doing anything. Once you come back to the computer, you'll have to adjust the HSI needle but the CDI bar will still be centered for whatever waypoint it is tracking. Hope that helps. Purists won't advise to do this as of course you wouldn't do that in real life obviously, just throwing it out that if something does interrupt your flying and you have to get up for a while, this will work and the autopilot will carry on for you until you get back. Eric
  10. MSFS 2024 Releases... ; ) (FS2004 released July 29, 2003)
  11. I was in Atlanta today in the sim during that storm. Lightning and thunder were abundant and i experienced the same effect as you recorded in your video. I actually sat here in the sim and watched the storm for awhile as it was really nice. Eric
  12. I think you know what I mean and please allow others to have a difference of opinion than yours. Cheers.
  13. The HJet is true to form of the real aircraft and the developer has done an amazing job and the HondaJet is an amazing real world aircraft. This does make it a preferred single pilot aircraft. However, for the sim, I find myself quite bored flying it because it is so heavily automated. I find myself feeling like I'm in an old default aircraft where nothing works yet it flies. With the HJet, everything works, but you don't do anything with it; the plane does it for you. For my style of simming (obviously everyone is different) I find myself bored in the sim. Real world is different because the automation greatly reduces pilot fatigue and workload. With that said, I still highly, highly recommend the HJet as it is modeled and developed fantastically and my opinion is greatly in the minority and others thoroughly enjoy flying the HJet. Cheers, Eric
  14. Removing FScopilot from my dll.xml file fixed this same issue for me also. Eric Wehrley
  15. To the FlightSim Community - I don't make posts very often, however I feel compelled to post this at this time. I would just like to say Thank you to the entire flight sim community for all of your helpful posts to questions, problems, solutions, suggestions, etc. As I said, I don't post very often, however I read A LOT on various topics / issues and watch for helpful replies that enable me to make improvements to my flight sim experience, system and setup. I hope everyone appreciates the community as much as I do as I really consider it a "family". I've used the flight simulator since the early days of subLogic back in the early '80's, to flying for SunAir Express VA waaay back, to reading posts and such on the CompuServe bulletin boards, to using the sim to teach myself all of the instruments, navigation, and flight dynamics to earn my Private Pilot's Licence in the early '90's. Recently with advancement of DX10 fixes, tweaks and so-on I have spent countless hours combing over this forum for tweaks and suggestions to get my sim humming along. Through these I have gone forward and back in gaining increased performance in the sim and have finally hit the "sweet" spot for my particular system and setup. I'm getting around 20-30 fps in the PMDG 737NGX at good payware airports and 50% AI Traffic for the first time ever. Never have I had this good of performance in FS. I'm usually quite comfortable if I could ever maintain 10-12 fps. Sometimes a particular suggestion posted in the forum helps, sometimes it doesn't but everyone's systems are different and what works for one person may not work for another. (for those that get frustrated sometimes, keep that in mind). So on this Thanksgiving weekend, I'd just like to say that I really appreciate and am thankful to everyone on the boards and in this community of aviation enthusiasts that contributes their suggestions and helpful tips to this great hobby that is flight simulation in the perpetual pursuit of making it "As Real as it Gets!" Best Regards, Eric
