Pause at TOD not working
Thanks Stoopy (Eric) I use Simbrief to create my flightplans. In the PMDG 737 the green semicircle (T/D) is shown and a downward crooked arrow in the Airbus indicated TOD but the planes just fly right past them until they run out of fuel. I didn't know if I have to have certain keys or something mapped properly to my Pause settings in MSFS. Not really sure how the Pause at TOD is triggered in the aircraft. (I know you select the option for it, but behind the scenes, I'm not sure how it is programmed to trigger). Regards, Eric

Pause at TOD not working
Good morning. I'm sure this is a problem on my end and I must be doing something wrong or have a wrong setting somewhere but I'm having trouble figuring out what might be set wrong. I'm unable to get the Pause at TOD to work on the inibuilds A340, PMDG 737-800, etc. I choose the option either on the EFB or the FMC options page but the plane keeps flying upon reaching the TOD and the sim does not pause. I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Thank you. Eric

Say Intentions Fee Increase Evaporates & Reduces Existing
I have been using SI for a long time. For me, I love it. Pricing (compared to others things) is great, features are great and always improving. Emails seem low to me at least - don't care anyway. I delete tons of spam emails from all kinds of companies everyday anyway. Others can have negative opinions and that's ok, but my opinion is very favorable with all aspects of SI. I've waited decades (yes, decades) for a product like this.

SayIntentions .. What state is it in currently?
I'm in the Sayintentions partner program and have been using SI for some time now and absolutely love it. Obviously others have their own opinions and that's ok but in my opinion it is the best and most immersive ATC program. To each their own. It works fine for me on most flights. Sure, it still needs more refinement but it continues to improves each week. This forum is not a good place to look for support for SI. I would suggest you go to the Sayintentions discord and provide them your flight ID # and they will look into what may not have worked properly and let you know. They will incorporate fixes to the program from your feedback. From my experience the SI team is very helpful and supportive and explains things well. Best regards.

AIG Manager beta for MSFS2024
Sorry, I'm not talking about BATC, FSHuD. My post is referring to the new beta to download models. Trying to 'open' the new beta never gets past 'loading configuration files'.

AIG Manager beta for MSFS2024
Thanks but I don't use Traffic Controller. I'm talking about AIG/AIM - the models.

AIG Manager beta for MSFS2024
Ok, so I'm trying to understand this. Sorry, I'm a bit slow at some of this stuff. The new AIG-beta for MSFS 2024 will or will not work standalone? Meaning, I do not have any AIG 2020 files and this is a new install of AIG/AIM and not an update for me. The instructions seem to imply (to me at least) that the AIM2024 beta will work on its own without requiring any other files, but if you also have AIG 2020 files then you have more instructions to follow to get it to recognize the 2020 files. I'm basing my interpretation on their statement of "For those who have replaced their AIM files with the new Beta files (Version 1.3.0.3 and higher) are required to migrate their MSFS2020 OCI package to MSFS2024 by following those steps: Am I reading that right? If so, then, for me the new beta never gets past 'loading configuration files'. If not, then i guess the purpose of the beta is only for existing users of AIG. Thanks in advance.

Best ATC Add-One without AI traffic taken into account
Wow. I'm really interested in this new feature coming from Sayintentions.AI as listed in their "Vectors to Final" newsletter email. It just keeps getting better and better: VATSIM/IVAO Departure Handoffs Coming Monday We're bridging the gap between human and AI ATC with our new VATSIM Departure Handoffs feature, launching on our experimental server this Monday. What This Means for You: Seamless Transition: Start your flight under VATSIM ATC coverage and effortlessly transition to SayIntentions.AI as you depart controlled airspace. Smooth Communication: Our AI ATC will proactively reach out once you're handed off to Unicom, ensuring an uninterrupted experience. Maintain Continuity: Keep your assigned squawk code. Retain your flight plan and clearances. Why You'll Love It: This feature ensures that your flight remains immersive and realistic, even when moving beyond VATSIM's coverage areas. No more abrupt silences or manual adjustments—just pure, continuous ATC coverage.

A2A Comanche has been released!
The proper way to use the autopilot (as mentioned above) is to switch to heading mode when reaching a waypoint, set the HSI needle to the new heading towards the next waypoint and then when the CDI bar centers, switch back to TRK LO/HI mode. However, if you're like me and on a little bit longer flight (and your wife often interrupts your flying) and have to get up and leave the computer, this autopilot will still follow the whole flightplan by itself to the destination. I did 2 flights yesterday with this method and had no probems with the autopilot following the whole flightplan without me doing anything. Once you come back to the computer, you'll have to adjust the HSI needle but the CDI bar will still be centered for whatever waypoint it is tracking. Hope that helps. Purists won't advise to do this as of course you wouldn't do that in real life obviously, just throwing it out that if something does interrupt your flying and you have to get up for a while, this will work and the autopilot will carry on for you until you get back. No more live weather thunderstorms?
I was in Atlanta today in the sim during that storm. Lightning and thunder were abundant and i experienced the same effect as you recorded in your video. I actually sat here in the sim and watched the storm for awhile as it was really nice. Eric

Thank you!
To the FlightSim Community - I don't make posts very often, however I feel compelled to post this at this time. I would just like to say Thank you to the entire flight sim community for all of your helpful posts to questions, problems, solutions, suggestions, etc. As I said, I don't post very often, however I read A LOT on various topics / issues and watch for helpful replies that enable me to make improvements to my flight sim experience, system and setup. I hope everyone appreciates the community as much as I do as I really consider it a "family". I've used the flight simulator since the early days of subLogic back in the early '80's, to flying for SunAir Express VA waaay back, to reading posts and such on the CompuServe bulletin boards, to using the sim to teach myself all of the instruments, navigation, and flight dynamics to earn my Private Pilot's Licence in the early '90's. Recently with advancement of DX10 fixes, tweaks and so-on I have spent countless hours combing over this forum for tweaks and suggestions to get my sim humming along. Through these I have gone forward and back in gaining increased performance in the sim and have finally hit the "sweet" spot for my particular system and setup. I'm getting around 20-30 fps in the PMDG 737NGX at good payware airports and 50% AI Traffic for the first time ever. Never have I had this good of performance in FS. I'm usually quite comfortable if I could ever maintain 10-12 fps. Sometimes a particular suggestion posted in the forum helps, sometimes it doesn't but everyone's systems are different and what works for one person may not work for another. (for those that get frustrated sometimes, keep that in mind). So on this Thanksgiving weekend, I'd just like to say that I really appreciate and am thankful to everyone on the boards and in this community of aviation enthusiasts that contributes their suggestions and helpful tips to this great hobby that is flight simulation in the perpetual pursuit of making it "As Real as it Gets!" Best Regards, Eric

Best ATC Program to Use with PMDG 737NGX and FS2Crew?

Liveries shown with errors
Angelo - you may want to try this. Make sure that the 'Tail Number' field of the .cfg and/or aircraft selection screen is filled in. This seems to have solved the problem for me. I noticed that when I went to select certain liveries that the 'Tail Number' field was blank and then the plane would not initialize and would have black screens and no buttons or knobs would work when loaded. Once I filled in the 'Tail Number' field with the registration number shown on the livery - bingo - the aircraft initialized properly and works fine. I'm not sure if this is your exact problem, but hopefully this may help. Good luck!

Liveries shown with errors
Thanks. I can't figure it out either. Sometimes my aircraft (-700WL) will initialize and sometimes it won't. Liveries are definately affecting it, but don't know why or how and ones that do work one day, won't the next day. Very frustrating. Eric Wehrley

Best ATC Program to Use with PMDG 737NGX and FS2Crew?
Just my two cents......... VATSIM / IVAO is definately the best for ATC as it is real time and typically very procedurally correct and extremely fun to participate in. The only problem I have with it is that (for me at least) 95% of the time a controller is not online for where my flight is going so then there is no ATC at all. If there is a controller online, 50% of the time by the time I get close to my destination where the controller is he logs off, then no ATC at all. ( I fly within the US. Not sure how well Europe is typically staffed. ) Eric Wehrley

Liveries shown with errors
Were you guys able to figure out a solution to this problem? I have the very same problem. Some liveries work ok, others - I get nothing as you state. Exterior model is fine, interior - nothing, just black screens, landing gear handle up and can not click on anything. I usually switch back to a different livery that works.
