Hi Guys, few days ago i had an Gear issue and followed to checklist until i had to lower the gear with ALTN GEAR down knob. The Non-normal checklist stated: push the button to down until gear indicates in transit. My problem was i simply couldnt hold the button long enough down to get the gear into transit. Any ideas what i did wrong? anybody encountered the same problem? alex

have u read the manual? it says somewhere (edited: 777 introduction p. 30 "known FSX'ism" ) you are not supposed to have the free flight screen open for too long otherwise you might get this issue... suggested fixes from pmdg: go to aicraft menu again or relaod flight simulator... and always RTFM

same here. i established my own Cold and dark setup an it happens in the same way described above... once it flip the left fuel switch there is a caution warning light but nothing on the EICAS.

Hi there, first Helios 522 was a 737-300, not a NG. Then in order not to confuse the pilots too much, aural Warnings are used for different situations, i.e. the "Takeoff" Warning. The sound only means Takeoff warning when you are about to take off. It also sounds for example with flaps 15 or more and gear not extended. You as a (typerated) pilot should what the bell means at what time. Under heavy workload you wouldnt be able (or at least the most of us) top distinguish between different rhythm to identify a problem. This is why same some is used in different Phases of flight. But: This does not explain, why they (Boeing) took the light away.. it helps for clarification but again one more light that flashes and might draw your attention from something more important... cheers

the problem seems to be gone, when put the payload into the aircraft first and then fuel it.. i used to do it the other way round......

do you mean the fuel line? il describe what i do.. i`ll start the aircraft from cold and dark (actually made a new file because "ngx cold and dark" was not cold and dark enough for me). I power the aircraft up, start the irs alignment. An then i usually go into the FS actions section und put some fuel and payload into the aircraft. Then i set up the overhead panel. After that i go back to the FMC an enter the route.. before i enter any performance information i usually wait until both IRUs are aligned. and then i do not the values i set up in FS actions but just double click ( normally here they differ from what i typed, in so this is my procedure). Until now everything is fine cg is in limits.. but if now go back to fs action and change ZFM i usually have a CG value of around -32...

Hi,does anybody experience problems with their CG? When i load the A/C with pmdgs load manager everything is fine. But when i change the Value for ZFM i always get a negative CG (this happens usually when i fly the second leg). Its not that big deal only once i ran out of Stab Trim range... regardsalex

what are u going to do, if the wind at your destination changes during the flight?

i think its the whole fmc which crashes.. interesting thing with the leg page.. had a panel freeze twice when reconfiguring an approach. PFD, ND and EiCAS are only freezing because the fmc is gone.. it also no longer available if you hit the menu button. i always start cold and dark btw

Anybody experiencing problems with the mcdu? mine just freezed.. plane is still flying, tried to make a shortcut in a transition to eddh (RARUP23transition) and at first the plan mode wont work. but now mcdus (both) a stuck in plan mode end EFIS is freezed (ecxept the range knob on captains side)
