FS-Recorder REPLAY - Controls not moving
I have already contacted PMDG because of this and they told me something like that. Sounds logical, but I thought that over the next few weeks/months after release one of the many smart guys of our FS community would crack this problem, as always . Sadly that's not the case...

FS-Recorder REPLAY - Controls not moving
The last post clearly states: "Note that this workaround may not help with non-working gear, ailerons, reversers, etc." So that's not the solution for the problem... Look at all the pmdg777 videos on youtube, especially the wing views. The plane starts rolling to a 30° turn and NOTHING on the wing moves. That looks really stupid. There has to be a solution for that

Flaperons behaviour at flaps 25/30
According to Boeing the pilot is supposed to add at least 5 knots to Vref on approach, depending on wind etc. So why does the flaperon go up at Vref+5?

FS-Recorder REPLAY - Controls not moving
All the previous PMDG planes had no problems with it, but if I replay a landing with the 777 using FS-Recorder, controls on the wings are not moving (both flaperon & aileron). To be more precisely, the flaperon changes position related to the flap's position and e.g. moves up when reverse thrust is activated on the ground, but the inputs done by the yoke are not shown. Is there a trick to make them move normally? Maybe the fly-by-wire system prevents the moves. At least the Autopilot was off, so it must be something different.

777 first beta impressions
Thanks for sharing your impressions, Jane! I've got a question: Right before the pilotes accelerate the engines to TO/GA and before landing at about 50ft, you can hear a loud noise in the passenger cabin (I guess it's from a hydraulic system). Do you know if this feature is implemented? Example before take off (14:54) : Example before landing (7:25) :

Dubai @NIGHT! A380 Landing
Just noticed the video isn't shown for some reason, I'll just do it again... sorry EDIT: Well, links seem not to work anymore :( Just go on the main page of youtube and add this to the URL: "/watch?v=1BIAFza9p-w"

haha, that would also fit nicely! I chose wingview only because I thought a view from e.g. the visitor terrace would kill the sunrise atmosphere.- Lufthansa's 4 Hairdryers Landing @Dusseldorf!

80$ is the limit for me. Anything above is just weird, in my opinion, because I already know I'm not going to use all the functions the 777 has. I could use 80$ to buy three airports...- Robert Ranadazzo's Interview with Pete (Video)
Don't blame me if I forgot something! The 777 is will be released this year. It has the same level of detail as the NGX and improvements. It will come without EFB because high license costs (thousands per year per costumer or so...). The price will be slightly higher than the NGX, but it won't be a price we wouldn't expect from PMDG. They want to do the tail camera, but since it's only in the -300 which has one and the -200 will be released firstly, it has no priority. Half of the new 747 is done. It's based on the same platform as the NGX. -400 base package, -8i expansion. Btw, it's Rob's favourite plane, so we don't have to worry about details DC-6 won't come before the 777 comes, but will also be released this year. They think about doing the DC-3 afterwards. I think these are the highlights, did I miss something?- Flaring the NGX
speedbrakes are armed correctly, I think. The lever goes back a bit and the green light saying "speedbrakes armed" is on. Yes I am indeed the Youtube user, I'm glad you do! I'm off for today, but in the late evening I should have some time to make some landings and try different retard-heights- Flaring the NGX
Thanks a lot for your answers! Probably I chose the title of the topic wrong, but it's about the spoiler and reverse thrust after touchdown. The part of the flare I'm not sure about is the point when to retard the throttles. One said now, not before 20 ft, and one said, around 50ft is possible, too. Maybe I'll upload a video showing the problem with the spoilers when I cut the throttles at 20ft. I checked my landing speed again, but nothing should be wrong with it. Passengers 80-90%, fuel 10%, flaps 30°, Vref is about 140 knots and +5 knots = 145 knots. I watched some real 737 landings and the speedbrakes usually go up immediately after touchdown, and I can only recreate this by cutting the throttles at AT LEAST 40ft.- Flaring the NGX
Sorry for posting a new topic again, but suddenly I have a lot of questions It's about how to flare the 737. When I put thrust to idle at about 20ft above the runway and then touch down, speedbrakes go up with a delay of a few seconds and reverse thrust also needs a few seconds until it works. This eats a massive piece of runway. I think that happens because the engines need a very long time until they are on idle, but I'm not sure about this, because this would mean, I had to put thrust on idle when I am above the threshold, at 50ft, to make the speedbrakes go up immediately, which seems not correct to me... I've read about the engines going very slowly to idle, and that FSX only allows reverse thrust then, but I haven't found a solution- Calculating Assumed Temp. and Flap Setting
All right, thanks for your quick replies!- Calculating Assumed Temp. and Flap Setting
I don't know how to calculate the assumed temperature or the flap setting I have to use for take off. At the moment I always try to estimate a number to get off from the runway safely. For example, in EDDF, having 4km of runway, I always take off with Flaps 5° and a very high assumed temperature. When taking off from TNCM with just 2km of runway, I usually use flaps 15° and a lower assumed temperature. But I assume that this is not the way pilots do it in reality Is there a software to calculate these things for the 737NG? Or is the FMC of the NGX somehow able to calculate these settings? How do you decide, which flap setting you use for take off and how much thrust? Thanks in advance! - New To Windows 7, or stay with XP
