  1. I've had this after adjusting eye position. It seems to stop at certain points when moving in or out.If it stops I move one way or another & it works again.
  2. EdThe audible check list consists of Pre Flight, Before start, Before taxi, Before take off, After take off, Descent, Approach, Landing, Shutdown & secure. Example of Pre Flight:-you tap the PreFlight button & you hear your virtual voice asking for pre flight check list. On the second tap you will here your virtual first officer calling Oxygen, tap again & you will here your voice again saying tested 100% & so on until the pre flight check is comple at which point your virtual first officer will say "Pre flight check list complete"The pre flight check list consists of:-Oxygen, instrument transfer switches, window heat, pressurisation mode selector, flight instruments, Parking Brake, engine start levers. Hope this gives you an idea of what to expect.
  3. HiI bought it & it's not bad. The flows are useful & work well with the NGX. Not completely the same as the documents from PMDG but it does work well enough to get you up & running. Entering a code for the airport of your choice will give you conditions at the time. It appears to work with any airport. I've tried both US & European codes & all have worked. Audible check lists are useful too. Some things are just a novelty like- pushing a call bell & asking for a drink, making cabin announcements to passengers about flight issues, delays, departures etc. Overall it's not a must have but it is nice to have theses things on a mobile device. I have it on phone & iPad works on both. Hope this helps.
  4. HiThis is just a thought, I don't know for sure. There used to be a restriction on sim rate with autopilot use when going faster. In FS2004 it used to be limited to 8 X I think & with FSX it was increased to 16X. I'm guessing but I would say that the problem could be related to FSX & not NGX.
  5. Try moving the plane to a well known international airport & select a gate (small). Then go through normal IRS align procedure (both off then nav). On 'POs Init' page use mouse & scratch pad, not keyboard, enter airport code & gate number. Providing gate produces coordinates select those coordinates & enter into bottom line. This should guarantee that when the IRS align you will be spot on. If the gate does not produce coordinates move to another gate until you find one that does. The airport coordinates themselves will be close but the gate will be spot on.
  6. Sorry about above. I've sorted climb problems. The 747 was very simplified & automated when it came to CDU use & the FMC. So I looked closely on a flight with respect to my entries in the CDU & I could sees that I was missing certain inputs. I've since done six flights taking care to fill every line during the CDU inputs & the aircraft has performed as it should. With a combination of weights, fuel loads it was spot on. So, try for yourself, I'm sure that climb problems will improve for you too.
  7. In the intro it mentions some better testers having issues when loading a saved flight, see below from the manual:- INTRODUCTIONFor Simulator Use Only DO NOT DUPLICATE 04AUG11PMDG 737NGX• During testing we have found that in extremely rarecircumstances, users with FSUIPC installed would need to deletetheir FSUIPC.CFG file after installing the PMDG 737NGX in orderto get everything playing well together. We recommend that youtry this if it seems the NGX is not behaving normally afterinstallation.• Late in beta testing, one of our testers found that having aparking brake axis assigned via FSUIPC would cause the sim tolock up while loading the PMDG 737NGX. We are continuing toinvestigate why this would be so, but the solution was simple:Remove the parking brake axis assignment from FSUIPC.
  8. Looks like Ezdok with TRir Link to ezdok below: http://www.ezdok-software.com/resources/files/EZCA-Update-1.17.zip
  9. I had similar problem Gawick-Cork. In the 747X could get to FL380 easy, on this flight I noticed T/C & T/D were almost together & I only managed FL250 before descent. ASE weather engine with REX textures-Gatwick & Cork Extreme-ENB-Ezdok.With same set up, Dublin-Edinburgh, no issues. Edinburgh Extreme also.On another flight I got unable next altitude, only needed 8000ft climb with 56miles to go from FL260. Empty aircraft load & light fuel 10000lbs! Ground temp at departure 12c/54F, Gatwick 200above sea level. TST at FL260 -25. Tried de ice just in case but made no difference.Sim running very smooth with good frames 25-28 much better than 747x so it beats me!Also getting the same issue with mouse & after saving flight FSX crashes, every time. Not had that before ever.Intoduction read, Loaed all pop ups during install + added files to cfg. Sent cfg to be adjusted as per intro! Also had some serious trouble with contollers for some reason & I'm still working on that. Everything worked great on the 747x. Well it's bedtime now so I'll try again tomoorow. System is i7 Windows 7 Pro. 8gig ram, 1.8gig Nvidia 360gtx.
  10. Can you confirm that when you are on the ground with throttles closed that the plane just sits there without brakes? If the answer is no then you need to calibrate. Advance throttles to 24% & the aircraft should move slowly but gain speed gently, close throttles & aircraft should slow & stop albeit after a lengthy roll?
  11. Hello MikeSounds like a control axis problem. I'm not familiar with your controller but if it has yaw as well as aileron & pitch check that you have unchecked the auto rudder box. If that's ok, go into controls settings & see if there are two axis assigned to rudder/throttles. Y & X are usually pitch & roll, Z is rudder & for throttles it's usually Z rotation. you'll find the axis tab to the right of button assignment.
  12. The only panel not shown in 2D is the throttles acceding to Ryan so everything ales should work. So, you sorted now?
  13. RobJust confirm that you loaded the ngx from free flight & that you did not have another plane loaded first?Have you tried in full window to see if anything changes then?Have you tried the virtual cockpit to see if anything changes in real time as you select it?Is it in pause to task mode in fsx setting?
  14. Can't help you with some of your requests but you must read the introduction because some changes have to be made & added to the fsx.cfg file to get best graphics. Also it's very important to set the FD on the pilot flying side before setting the other so, set yours captains-then f/o FD. Not sure what would cause sudden pitch up unless you made an input which disconnected the the mcp or something in your hardware set up or key assignment changed the pitch.
  15. HiAs per the above sometimes animations don't show in reply. Make sure you have set advanced animations to on. On the upper panel between the crew oxygen & the IRS control panel is a flood light switch, check if it's that that's giving you a light problem. Nav disagree in ND panel could be the frequency is incorrect for the ils selected make sure that the correct frequency is active in the nav I window.
  16. HiSounds like an anti virus issue. You need the direct x & runtime files for ngx to work. Have you tried switching it off & installing again?
  17. Several people are having the same problem. As I said in another thread, Europe & most of the USA are up & about apart from the west coast.
  18. Hi RobinThere have been a few problems with activation. I assume that you are using the 24 digit licence code? If so, it could just be that the servers are busy. It's that time of day when Europe & the USA are on.
  19. Hi RobI don't use 2d panel but have you checked the obvious, like is fsx in pause mode?Have you tried the virtual panel to see if that's working? Also, make sure you load the ngx from free flight & DO NOT open the Cessna or any other plane first. in the introduction manual they advise to do that & not to reload ngx from another plane?By default it should load with everything on.
  20. Yes, I second that. Feels like a sports car after the 747. Getting the speed down is tricky though.
  21. DucoClicking yes to those pop ups is necessary, so you did the right thing there. You say that the installation is still running because of the tab, can you not open the tab to see what's going on?You aubade done it already but make sure you read the introduction to the product in the PMDG manuals. It's a must read.
  22. If you scroll down the email confirmation from PMDG towards the bottom you will see:-Licence:Below that is a 24 digit code. Copy & paste that. Hope this helps.Sorry I forgot. Make sure that you said yes to all the run time messages during install. Look in the PMDG manuals & read the introduction. Some editing of the fsx.cfg file is necessary to get the best from the product. This is a must read.
  23. Let's see:- how many years in development? How many developers wages x years in development? RSR $1000.000 star perks Plus utility bills?Selling base for $70 & making a profit? My calculator only goes up to eight digits! Anyone good at maths?
  24. I have triple head too but I always start windowed on centre screen. I do all flight planning & then go full view. Not had a problem with md11 doing it this way. I always start from the free flight page with md11 as the default aircraft. Not sure if this will help you.
