  1. Ok. I'm impressed! I didn't realize there was a recent up-date. Like posted only four posts back. I found the download and installed it, still unaware of new improvements. lying in bed watching videos of Caranado planes on my iPad at midnight when I get a reply from my post. See above. Jumped out of bed fired up FSX and tried the C182. There are the pop-up panels I wanted. As well as other details. That's just too cool. texerrn
  2. The first thing I would like to see fixed, or modified. Please make the PFD and MFD "pop ups"! Then do something about the very hard to use click spots around the various knobs. I'm not twenty anymore, I can't see well enough to use the panel as it is now. I would bet this is an easy fix. Not real happy with a goofy, temperamental auto pilot either. In real life I would not of accepted this aircraft as it is. Flies well and has beautiful textures, but way too many details that need modification.I am very close to considering a refund. Was this product truly finished? texerrn
  3. I use pedals. I have numerous Caranado products all seem to taxi well. At least as well as any default or other payware. The C90 is a noticeable exception. It is hard to taxi. I like it overall. If the Baron can be manageable then the C90 should be as well. I have spend a lot of time in the King Air and this behavior is not even remotely realistic. The ground handling needs to be improved before I would recommend this product. texerrn
  4. Ground handling! I have the Caronado Baron it has great handling in the air and taxing. The C90 is very bad. Nearly unusable. I would bet just a tweak in the aircraft.cfg would fix this. texerrn
  5. Scandanavia13, thanks for the link. I have already printed the FMS out and will be incorporating this information into my knowledge base today.I find that much more constructive. Lee
  6. I refer to the STUPID GPS that comes with the PMDG Bae Jetstream 4100.The one that is intended to be used or it would not have been included. My question has to do with why the flight plan does not display as in every other aircraft, default, PMDG or otherwise. Perhaps I will continue to explore the 'very nice made FMC' and see if I can discover what it can do that the default MS GPS. Thanks. So why does the FMC display as it does? I get critcism but not the answer. Lee
  7. I really like it. BUT. I really miss a 2d panel. I realize it is becoming a virtual panel world. I held off purchasing this product for a long time entirely because of a lack of a 2d panel. The B190 and the Boeing 737 have one. I have already had at least one CDT that seems related to constantly changing the views to find things. It is hard on my eyes. With my Caranado and Aerosoft products that also don't have a 2d panel I have spliced the panel config. and added one. I just can't believe it could be that expensive to include a 2d panel. My only dislike. Lee Stubblefield
  8. I have noticed that the default Garmin GPS/moving map seems to function differently with the J41. I have been making my flight plans without a problem. When I bring up the GPS only one segment of the flight plan shows up, not the entire plan. Also on the moving map instead of all segments of the route being displayed only the current segment will show. I see the current line in the correct magenta color, but not the next segment in white. When I get to the next waypoint it generates a new magenta line and so on. Is this the correct behavior? I have been using FS Flight Commander to make my flight plans. It seems to work fine. My other PMDG products, B1900, 737 NGX don't exhibit this behavior. Am I doing something wrong or is this the way it is designed to work? The entire flight plan with all segments displays correctly in the FMS. Lee
  9. Ok. I just saw this for the first time this morning. My visual disturbance is much like some others that have been reported. It is like a light way off on the horison that flashes and fills 1/2 the right then 1/2 the left of the screen. Only with the 3d virtual views. Doesn't occur with the 2d or outside spot view. Reminds me of the effect you sometimes see with a beacon at certain airports. Appears to come from exactly one spot way off in the distance, like a star. In fact that may be a great way to describe it. Like a pulsar. Flashes 2-3 times a second. Upper left quadrant, lower left quadrant, and around on a circle. Only on virtual cockpit view, Only with the PMDG jet4100. I have flown about 10 flights before without visual problems, but read about it on the forum here. It lasted my whole flight which I elected to finish. I was unable to make it go away during the flight. Tried everthing I could think of. Closed FS and rebooted and reloaded FS at a night time, dark time. Not there now. I hope I never see this again. If anything would be likely to induce a seizure this would be it. using FSX, Win 7-64, 5670 dual cards. Lee Stubblefield
  10. The GPS/Nav switch is located on the left side of the virtual panel, it works just fine. GPS is in down position, NAV is up. There is no anunciator or light to tell you which position it is in. I added the default MS Cessna light so I could be sure. I have flown numerous flights and it will hold your course. The autopilot needs to be on naturally. Duh. By the way if you want to edit the panel config, substitute the default Bendix king auto for the supplied one and it will hold a given alttidute as well. texerrn
  11. Is there supose to be a hidden click spot for the TOGA button in the 2d panel? Or only in the 3d/virtual cockpit.
  12. I use the Saitek X52 set up. Most all of my buttons work with the NGX. Except the one programmred to turn on and off the autopilot CMD master. The Z key I believe. It will disconnect the autopilot but will not engage it. And of course it works just fine with every other aircraft I have except the PMDG NGX. I now do a lot of low hand flying lately tring to activate the autopilot. Yes I try the Z key and a mouse click on the command button eventually. Actually I am ready to give up on the whole thing.
  13. I prefer to fly with the 2d panel and often use keyboard W to see the runway on approach. I have been doing a work around to use the HUD in 2d. I will go to 3d view and active the HUD, then go back to the 2D view. Now when in 2d panel view and you switch the view using the W key you will have a HUD. Cumbersom way to do it, but the HUD is there. A simple click point on the 2d panel whould be nice. Is there one? Also the HUD seems very hard to read compared to the 3d view. It seems that those of us that prefer the 2d panel views are geting short changed by all the payware aircraft designers and MS. Supposed to be the wave of the future I read somplace.
  14. I don't seem to have any click spots to open sub-panels on my 737 NGX 2d panel. I have looked at the picture in the flight manual and it seems to indicate that there should be something in the upper right hand corners of each of the frames of the glass areas. There are two click spots on the windshield support (4 & 5) but no where else.
