  1. Uninstalled the P3D v3.0 Client and v3.0 Content modules from Add/Remove Programs. Installed the P3D v3.1 Client and v3.1 Content modules. What about the scenery module? Why have you left that out?
  2. I don't mind re-installing my addons just unsure if I need to uninstall each addon individually using the Win 10 control panel feature or do I just re-run all the addon installers overtop the existing ones once P3Dv3.1 has been installed??
  3. Ok looks like PrecipitFX is a go for me so I purchased it today. Last question: I have installed it ok but it does not show up as green in VFXCentral? The product appears as a Download only. When downloaded and unzipped, the installer places a separate PrecipitFX shortcut on my desktop which when run shows all the installed effects in P3Dv3. Is this the normal setup? How can I get PrecipitFX to show up as installed in VFXCentral? Thanks!
  4. Hi new to this product and decided to jump into purchasing the 737 Immersion package for added realism in the PMDG737. During the purchase I was offered a 30% discount to bundle PrecipitFX but chose not to as I was unsure if I needed it. How do the two products inter-react as the product pages appear to offer similar things like wingtip vortices and contrail effects ? I presume PrecipitFX will just enhance the default P3Dv3 rain and snow textures? If so how is this compatible with REX textures? As a 737 Immersion customer any chance of getting the bundle offer towards a purchase of PrecipitFX?? Thanks
  5. Can someone recommend a FlightAware type website that caters more to Europe? Specifically looking for website that can provide real world schedules, aircraft types and flightplans between user input origin and destination European airports? I realize FlightAware can provide most of the info but it does not provide the real world routes between European airports. Thanks
  6. Folks I really need help installing UT2 into P3Dv3. I re-downloaded and installed UT2 using a "fake" FSX and install was successful. I hear the UT2 initialized intro when starting up P3Dv3 however I still get this Program Error about loading aircraft assignments and invalid arguments. I have edited the simobjects.cfg and utsettings.cfg files but have not made any edits to the prepar3d.cfg / "fake" fsx.cfg file. There must be something buggered up with the applicable cfg files. Be nice if someone who has UT2 in P3Dv3 working can post their cfg files for my reference. Thanks
  7. Set up the fake FSX and managed to install UT2 into P3Dv3. However, when I start up P3Dv3, I get the UT2 initialized song but I immediatey get a message to "Please register this product before you try to use it!" If I start up UT2 using the desktop shortcut, I get a Program Error something like "Error loading aircraft assignments" and "Invalid Argument" followed by "License Check Invalid". UT2 then shuts down when I click Close. Any ideas what may have gone wrong for me?
  8. Just flew a short hop from LOWW to LSZH in the PMDG 737...zero MT6 airline traffic and I can confirm I had much smoother (albeit much lonelier) flight experience. Gonna try and creep this up but previously at only 10% airline and GA traffic I was getting more erratic FPS and frame stutters even at cruise altitudes.
  9. So Chuck it seems MT6 was the culprit for you? I also have MT6 and will try disabling it to see if solve my stutter woes. Can anyone direct me to the most straightforward source for guidance on installing UT2 into P3Dv3?
  10. I don't want to start another thread on this but I too am suffering severe stutters in the PMDG 737. My stutters show up only in the VC. All my outside views are silky smooth?? I am running P3Dv3 at modest settings with VSync On and frames unlimited. I will have to try experimenting with other settings but any suggestions as to why I get the bad stutters only in the VC would be much appreciated! My system: i72600k / AMD Radeon R9 FuryX
  11. Vernon I was wondering how the aspect ratio would affect the look inside the VC? You would think a 21:9 aspect ratio would 'stretch' and distort the view of the VC but maybe not? Seems your very happy with it. I am also considering this type monitor.
  12. Have you enabled the cycle feature in the EZCA control panel? It is located next to the camera views by the letter "C".
  13. Tried your settings and while conservative, they are much better than the original ones which I found to jerky. It really is a matter of personal preference. I believe the DHM which was originally set at 1.00 was the main culprit for me. I will need to experiment a bit more with these settings.
  14. Finally got my first PMDG product (737 base package) for P3Dv3. Installation went ok into Win 10. I am also using the latest version of EZCA 1.187 for P3Dv3 which was already installed on my system before installing the 737. I notice when I first loaded the 737 there was an EZCA profile "B738" already present with various cockpit and external cameras predefined. Does the PMDG 737 come preloaded with these EZCA camera views? I am also having difficulties during takeoff due to the rather extreme EZCA effects that come with the preloaded cockpit cameras (RND/DHM/CR effects). I find that the effects are causing a very undesirable wonky, shaky view during the takeoff roll. I can easily disable them but I was wondering what other EZCA users have set for these dynamic camera effects as I don't mind keeping them as long as they are set reasonably! Thanks for your input.
  15. I don't get it? Checked My Account and there is no update? Checked under Carenado Updates and there is no update for the F406? How do you go about getting 1.1?
  16. I have checked and the IP address match. Can somebody with FSUIPC4 please share their simmconnect.xml file? I want to check against mine. Thanks.
  17. No kidding! I spent more time updating/installing/configuring/troubleshooting/tweaking than actually flying in this great hobby of ours!!
  18. Folks I had ASN connected in a network configuration in accordance with the ASN documentation but after installing an unregistered version of FSUIPC4 ( which I need for running another application) I seem to have lost my ASN connection? I checked my server simconnect.xml file and note that the <scope> line reads "global" which is correct when using FSUIPC according to the ASN documentation. Not sure what else may be wrong. Any help re-establishing my connection, while keeping FSUIPC4, would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
  19. Cant get Air Traffic Manager to connect. I have installed all simconnect applications per Post#16. I load up P3Dv3 and then start Air Traffic Manager but get some kinda unhandled exception error stating: FSUIPC Error #12: FSUIPC_ERR_SENDMSG. Error sending message to FSUIPC. Figured I needed FSUIPC and so I installed the unregistered version of FSUIPC4 and yes I got the Air Traffic Manager to connect. Definitely helped frames but now I lost my ASN network connection! Help!
  20. Thanks for the link but NI is not for me as I am running P3Dv3 with an AMD Radeon R9 Fury X GPU. I will need to check if there are similar settings that can be adjusted on these AMD cards?
  21. Just added this bird to my P3Dv3 hanger and enjoying it very much. I do notice though a lot of shimmering knobs and gauges in the VC. Is there a specific display setting in P3Dv3 that can be adjusted to help mitigate this shimmering effect?
  22. Your situation was similar to mine. Prior to moving to P3Dv3 I new I had to upgrade my system especially the GPU. I had an i7 2600k Sandy Bridge CPU and Nvidia GTX 680 GPU. Decided to hold on to the CPU and upgraded the GPU to AMD's Radeon R9 Fury X with 4GB High Bandwidth Memory. Very much impressed with this GPU. I get a steady 30-40 frames with Orbx scenery, ASN, REX4 textures and various airport add-ons.
  23. Graham thanks for the link but that process to make a dummy FSX seems cumbersome for me anyway....may have to jump ship to MT6 provided it has a P3dv3 compliant installer.
