  1. circling are visual and manual flight, get fun!
  2. Ok, at least the runway extension lights, that's what i want to say. This is a good example:
  3. Of course Mr. Fabo, you're right, on IMC the aircraft should be configured and the approach stabilized at 1500AGL and it can be below 1000AGL on VMC, it depends of the company SOP also. I know an airline who have had 2 accidents due to unstabilized approach and now their SOP says they must be configured and stabilized at 2000AGL. But minimums in a given moment would be the last chance you have to be stabilized.
  4. 1. Remember, at minimums you MUST have runway in sight, cleared to land, landing checklist complete and aircraft fully setup and stabilized, otherwise... GO AROUND!
  5. That's a great video where you can see how realistic is the NGX and at min 6:38 you can see clearly the cost index 20.
  6. Thank's a lot for that great explanation, i just translate it to my friend and now i hope he can do it. :)
  7. Hello, This is a question for the many repainters of the ngx. What are the wings texture files inside the paint kit? and how to modify the registration plate inside the cockpit?because a friend of mine is trying to make me some repaints but he doesn't find that to put the registration and airline name. Thank's for your help! Larry Well.
  8. Yes the ITVV Martin air video is wonderful, you can learn and prove how realistic the PMDG MD11 is. Yes sr! waiting for the 744 V2 :)
  9. When you do the warning test during the preflight you can hear it, Just press the SYS TEST button on the F/O side below the ND, in the ground proximity system panel. I you'll never hear that in flight, the only aircraft i remember a windshear alert a few times is the dreamlfeet 727. Press on the TCAS knob (you can read test) then you see on the ND the TCAS test and after a few seconds yuo'll hear the aural sound "tcas test passed".
  10. There is not a restriction, but the airlines normally have in the SOP. Normal for any aircraft is 20 or 25 GS(Ground speed) on straigh taxiways, for 90 degrees turns the maximun speed must be 10 GS due to gear limitations, and in less than 90 degrees turns it can be 15 GS. On the ramps normally you have to be more careful, normally 10 or 15 GS.
  11. I fly this bird because is different to the others, the flaps set is very interesting, is powerful, heavy and approaching and landing is very funny, high speed and the CG is in the tail. The PMDG is very realistic, it looks very close to the real bird and feels heavy when you fly it. I prefer less automatized airplanes but MD11 is different, is as automatic as an Airbus (i don't like) but much more interesting and funny.
  12. 2 options, just reset the next altittude before reaching it, don't care about altittude restrictions in the procedure because the FMS has all the fixes and restrictions( i confirm it before starting descent during the approach brieffing). You can even set the lowest/highest altittude restriction in the MCP and the aircraft respects all the others. The other option is just recycle the VNAV mode by pushing it 2 times (OFF/ON). and the aircraft continue the descent/climb to the next altittude. I hope it helps you. B)
  13. Hi!!! i just saw a video and i noticed a TRANSFER/SOURCE BUS OFF lights test, is it modeled in the NGX? This is the video, check at min 4:05 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeHwpX3X6kY&feature=share
  14. just tried it...perfect! great aricraft!!!
  15. good idea, any idea to get fs2crew through headset and aircraft sounds through speakers?
  16. I have a USB headset but i don't know how to do that, do you know some tutorial or can you explain me? :shok:
  17. HOW do you get assign the aircraft sound through your speakers and voice through your headset?
  18. Go to Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\PMDG_MD11F and open the aircraft.cfg, in the section of each repaint add these line: atc_parking_types=CARGO, RAMP, MIL_CARGO
  19. I believe he's talking about an animation on the rudder pedals when you put or release the parking brake.
  20. Same problem i had with that STAR and some others in KBWI and KTPA. Just check the chart and put the missing waypoint.I think it's a problem with 1206 AIRAC.
  21. LOL That's because your fuel quantity indicators are yellow...it means you are low fuel.
  22. i can recommend to you flights to Aspen(high field and mountains), Key west( shortest us runway where a 737 lands), La guardia(visual approaches), Washington reagan intl.(visual approach), Reno (visual approaches), JFK (visual approach rwys 13), San Diego (LOC 27), Santa Ana (5700ft runway), Burbank( 5802ft runway), Chicago Midway(short runways) these are my favorites :Peace:
