  1. OK how the heck do you install the stuff from simsavvy?
  2. When do you think the 50% sale will happen?
  3. Whenever you fly and airplane even Hawaii you would normally communicate with either a tower or announce your position and hear other planes position. No ATC for this would be a step back.
  4. I'm thinking about adding the Icon to my RC airplane stable. Looks cool
  5. Nevermind. I found what I was looking for. Stupid me should have searched first. $200 bucks for California from Megascenery.. WOW Thats expensive for a game. O well I can just order the sections for $7 bucks.
  6. Hello I usually fly in California / USA. KSMX and probably up to KSFO and down to KSAN.I really don't need the whole world I suppose it would be cool to have most of the west coast but it would not get much use.I know there is Mega Scenery, ORBX covers North West USA and there are some freeware airports out there.I have REX Overdrive which totally transformed the sim.Any other suggestions for add on both payware and freeware that would enhance my California Experience? Thanks
  7. Actually it does look like a flight sim game, almost looks like a jet because it's moving pretty fast. not Hawaii either. Humm
  8. I think I understand now why I should support 3rd party companies in flight sim. I always thought the cost was high for addon's and was happy with the core game. It's companies like these that make flight sim tick. I'm sure MS will come up with some stuff and people will buy it but without 3rd party designers pushing the limits of the "code" it would be like EA games taking over Madden. They shut out all competition in the football gaming arena by getting an exclusive licensing contract with the NFL so no other companies can use the NFL liknesses in their games. For that reason Madden keeps getting released with the exact same graphics and stupid bugs. The NFL experience on consoles has stalled.... Pun intended. SO my long point is without 3rd party contributions the core game surly dies.... Crashes and burns more specifically.
  9. Thanks for the info . yea that is the wrong cockpit in the picture. I wish it looked that good.. I was messing around to learn where all the buttons and guages were and did $33k worth of engine damage and accidentally pulled the emergency landing gear switch. So I had to purge everything and start over in the loadout screen.. and this was even before the first flight. Anyway the only gripe i have about the Seneca is the 3D cockpit is really poor. Everything else is perfect. Flys great and it really cool to have everything work.
  10. Well I got the FSD Seneca V and Piper Navajo for $22 bucks. Did a few T&G's with the Seneca. The virtual cockpit is blurry but other than that it flys better than a default plane and has lots more to do. I guess for $11 each I'm pretty happy with it. I'm thinkin my overall FSX settings may have something to do with the poor graphics... Don't know??
  11. These planes are pretty expensive. I guess you get what you pay for.I was thinking in the 20-25 range not $50. That just seems like a lot of money to pay for a virtual airplane. I'm sure it's the most amazing thing ever but a little steep for me.
  12. Wow I went away for a few minutes and got some great suggestions. Thanks I will check out both planes.
  13. I have FSX and a fairly good computer system. I have not purchased many payware items over the years but am now looking for either a small jet, dual engine turboprop or piston airplane that really replicates real world startup and shut down procedures. Meaning where every knob and button works and you actually have to follow the checklistsI saw that the King Air for FS4 worked like that and I'm sure there others but I don't want to get one and be disapointed. Any suggestions??Thank You
