All that big beautiful long runway and nothing more than light aircraft to land on it. I have seen videos from FSX that look way better though. although I know to get that quality is hundreds of dollars.I think FSX payware is to expensive in some cases so from a price point argument I think the original poster is correct. Not bad price for what you get. Default FSX is boring but I think a lot of pople in here have large investments into addon's in FSX so it makes sense to continue to spend money on FSX until something interests you in Flight.

Yea that issue was just too strong a wind. I can take off just fine with light to moderate wind. I do like the diff brakes though while taxiing. I changed my keys to [ and ] on my keyboard

It drifts all over the place for me. but someone wiser than me told me it sharpens my skills when I can master a bad flying sim airplane in Fight..One time the wind was so great that the Maule went directly off the runway everytime with full rudder and alierion deflection when I tried to take off.

I hope when or if they do Cali they dont do what Megascenery did in the beginning and leave out sections of the state. Or at least if they are going to break it up make sure the sections they do are complete. Maybe they could split it up into 4 or 5 sections and do the whole state. But to just do LA or SFO or San Diego leaves out a lot.

I recommend getting it. It changed the sim big time.

Its like saying playing Forza 4 will make me a better race car driver... yes I can memorize the tracks in a video game but ... .. There is nothing like the real thing and the cars do behave different on the track than in the game. Same with any flightsim game and real flying. I guess they will have to do scenery where it makes sence to fly low and slow since all they have is low and slow aircraft. Still hoping for some California scenery.

With the over sensitive controls in Flight I could sure use an autopilot. I've even tried to null out the controler in the settings and it still flys weird to what the Maule does in FSX. Unless your flying an inherently unstable airplane I would think planes are supposed to .. well FLY... This one seems to weave all over the sky even with no wind.Pilots use autopilots when they are in the aircraft. , if the plane is suppose to have one Microsoft should put it in there. It is odd that they are Microsoft, they developed FSX? Right?? They have always had autopilots. I really wonder why that feature had to be left out. Very strange but I'm sure there was a reason.

I think A2A planes are super cheap for what you get. The most realistic aircraft on the market and 1/2 the price of the Duke. I will admit I do not own the Duke but would if it was 1/2 price. I think over $30 is to much for any aircraft no matter what it does. Just my opinion, and I know people need to make money.

You know after installing Ezdok my middle mouse button did what you are asking here. I don't know how or why.

Good marketing ploy huh... I agree with you. A good way to make money. However in reality if they make no money this is all we get. So we shall see.

Since you seem to have insider info.. Is there a list of items that is being worked on that you can share?

O well hopefully the flaps issue will be noted and fixed in a patch, along with other things.. I would recommend the Maule for Flight. Precentrails I would suggest purchasing it. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

I've been flying both Maule's tonight in FSX and Flight. I have some addon's like Bluesky Cali Scenery, ezdok, and A2A Accu-Feel so what I am flying looks, sounds and feels tons better than the FSX showed in the videoThe FSX Maule VC panel is very blurry in several areas and some of the gauges are not round like the OAT gauge. Everything looks like it just needed new textures and some reworking to look right. I found that the FSX Maules only non-working items where the transfer pumps and cabin air. Not bad for a default aircraft. I found more that didn't work in payware planes.The Flight Maule does look more refined. The cockpit is way better looking than the stock FSX Maule. The night lighting is far superior than FSX on all levels, the in-cockpit sounds are as good IMO as Accu-Feel. HOWEVER... many items do no work in the Flight Maule.EGT bug, Clock/Timer, Auotpilot, Comm Selectors, Cabin Air, Alt Air, and Test Knob for Navs. I also found the plane real itchy to control while flying. Not sure why but the planes nose dropped when I added the first notch of flaps then raised when I added the rest. It did this every time for me. (and yes I did start out with zero flaps and not -7) The engine is way more powerfull I think in Flight. I had a hard time because I kept overcontrolling the throttle to maintain a constant speed in cruise and approach. The FSX Maule is simply a dream to fly. It did everything I wanted it to and didn't seem like I was chasing it like in Flight.What I think is... If Flight has released with the entire world, all the planes as were in FSX to the same quality as what was released and had worked with REX, ORBX and others and released it as FS12 or 11.. whatever... We would have had a freaking awesome flight sim unrivaled by any other product ever made in this genre. I would have paid alot of bucks for that...It's sad that Flight got such a bad rep becuase there is some serious promise here. Not enough to hold my attention now.. .but what if...."however... for a free product I say it's a winner"

I was able to download both as a result of me being a beta tester. The P-51 has no cockpit so is basically eye candy from the outside. The Maule is quite a plane and would recommend getting it.

Have you done an analysis of what is and is not working in the Maule? I have not just wondered. I see lots of buttons in that aircraft and all the aircraft from Flight that do nothing so I kinda lumped every plane into my statement I guess. I believe the list would be rather long of non funcitonal systems if listed, but it's the same for even payware aircraft so it's just what I've come to expect with most FSX planes.. Unfortunately. I need to re-state what I said above. I understand this game is free so I guess it makes sense that everything else would be a charge. It's just such a different mindset to have to buy stuff that was included in the purchased FSX. I suppose it makes sense that every additional item would be a cost.

With all the non-functional items on the planes and in the game... If they do ever add them in, I wonder if it will be a free upgrade, thus making the planes functional to where it should have been at release or if they will make you pay for it. I'm guessing pay for it. Can you imagine if they charged to add ATC into the game? WOW.

huh,., I guess I take that for grandit. I flew in a Bell 222UT the other day and the pilot was on autopilot 95% of the flight. I was not aware that the vast majority of GA aircraft did not have autopilot.

My 13yr old son dosen't even know what an autopilot is so I suppose that is why they did not include it in the game.I know there is a lot of simable content in this game but I believe the main focus of the game was for new users who know nothing about flying.

Yea that reboot thing is it... .I get some error saying a certain file can't be found. It happens about 4 times.. I just click cancel and go on... gotta figure out what that is now.
