Ortho4XP for FSX/P3D
Is it possible to have custom zoom levels? It's been asked many times in this thread but there has been no answer from the developer. I guess that answers it...

Give it a try, I believe you won't regret...
Wow, are you negative and sad. This thread is about giving it a chance. What did this thing ever do to you to make you so angry against it. Why do you need to compare it to fsx or make everyone know how bad it is and make them not even bother. I bet you would love that if it were to happen. Let's make it a sticky then? It is downright laughable that you expect 100% complete software here and that being your only expectation. If you had any positivity in your head before trying for this software you would've seen what a nice aircraft Piper Seneca is for example. I'm done talking with you. <_< Jcomm, if you are still here. What do you think about the Seneca and its fdm?

Can't look outside with rembrant like you said. There are some caveats with transparency, http://wiki.flightge...mbrandt#Caveats I think some aircrafts needs to be updated.

Why do you expect quality from incomplete aircraft? If you did gave it a fair chance you would know most of the aircraft are incomplete and manage to find that are well worth trying(like the ones in the original post, you didn't even need to "scour" the net). You are simple not giving it a try, your first post is about an incomplete aircraft and its problems, why not try some others too? It looked like your intention was to find some faults and post about it. How about you try some of the aircraft mentioned in the op? Or is it also unacceptable that it doesn't come with the installer. I guess it is better to write here and just complain, ignore what others are saying. Of course you can talk about bad things about it but you come across like your only intention is to be negative. I don't know what others think. People with this attitude weren't liked at Flight forum either. By the way, tons people been searching the internet since the release of fsx because of its problems. Don't tell me it works out of the box well enough, it doesn't especially when it was first released. Oh and about comparing, I never intended to do that. You do it yourself. Thank you for ruining a thread that was started with good intentions.

"I bother with sims that can be used without being expected to scour the interenet for Wiki." Can you tell me which sim is that? Seriously. "I admire the developer's efforts, but let no one pretend FuightGear is a viable flight simulator." Is this how you discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the product? By making decisions for others? I can pretend whatever I want, thanks. I wonder though, why you are the only one with such installer problems. I guess flightgear doesn't like you either. Jokes aside, I'm irritated by your posts mainly because of how you just refuse to seek help(and find that unacceptable for some weird reason) and rather just criticize. I wish this thing was taken seriously by the community from the start, we wouldn't have been stuck with fsx or the others. Everyone could've improved it instead of living with whatever limitations other sims had.

Give http://wiki.flightge...Tupolev_Tu-154B a try, It's very impressive. And mgh, this sim is for those to enjoy who actually give it a fair try, not bash because it doesn't do what you want it on the first try. It's seems this is what you did in a previous release too, give up at the first problem. Why do you even bother with sims then? You should leave this forum if all you are going to do is bash in my opinion.

Sunlight
I don't think he is talking about directly looking at the sun, just the general sun lighting.

DxtFixerX - B1 Archiver Changes Home Page!
Nothing to do with dxtfixerx, and there are no such file as B1 Archiver. You got infected by something else.

Ah, I see. After fixing with dxtfixer alphasearcher didn't return any hits for me.

Plan-G v3 released
I had the prerelease for an x-plane problem which is fixed, thats the reason for higher version.

Plan-G v3 released
Doesn't look like routing is as simple as v2, I think you need to add custom waypoints 1by1 through the valleys and then add them to the plan. For zoom levels, on the maps section, click on the arrow from the bottom right. Edit: Or drag the created waypoints around, it's a bit weird. That said, I like some of the stuff of v3 especially its speed. This is the first version and he has some plans for improvement for maps and other things. Btw, I've found a way to change the font from ComicSans to something else. Config is in under C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\TA_Software\Plan-G3.exe_Url_thwpr0ynlpeo4o24m2yeti5a5ezzltmj\3.0.1.47 It might be a bit different but there should be a user.config file, open it with a text editor and find Comic Sans, change it to Arial for example. Fonts are much sharper now.

They are not missing, but flagged incorrectly in the file as not present. Which is wrong for dxt3 and causes problems with the fs engine and/or the gpu itself. This is what neumanixs tool does, just change the bit without any need for resaving.

Plan-G v3 released
It is implemented in another way, a strange one. You chose a waypoint from the plan and right click something on the map to add below or above the said waypoint on the plan. Hope that made any sense. Edit: According to dev, it was a googlemaps feature so thats why it's missing. It is also possible to drag the created waypoints but you have to create them like I mentioned above. Yes, in the options named OpenCyclemap.

It helped tremendously with maddog for sure. It used to unload all the scenery and vc textures when I got out of the vc and caused awful blurs. Now it never happens . Thanks a lot for that alone. ^_^

Yeah, didn't expected him to include it at all.

Plan-G v3 released
Guys, there IS a terrain map in v.3. Go to the options/general and choose OpenCycleMap as map provider. I thought he didn't include this based on his previous comments. There are even aerial photos. Edit: The ComicSans font is irritating though. :P

Look at the link I've posted, he has some other plans than using another commercial map.

Plan-G v3 released
I couldn't find the route editing option, how am I supposed to create a route and then easiliy add navaids etc. like in v2? Edit: From the dev http://www.tasoftwar...sg10218 sounds promising.

I meant for all the pcs, not old ones only.
