  1. Well, after 5 days of preforming perfectly with the Alaskan Pack, troubles imerged this morning and I recieved the "corrupted installation" warning :Waiting: . I ran bubba04's check and came up with this in my contentErrors file: (20.898650, -156.430458): Failed to verify file 'C:\Users\Jerry\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\DLC\4d5308d2\00000002\09f31425a816b0a0b0e1bc32c64297b7b4ada251\Content\Content.pak' [hr=0x80092004] [catalog size=113644 crc=b9fee376] I see that the 4d5308d2 file is listed in dtrjones's post under his "Removing Flight base package" list. From this, I really can't tell which download I have to replace, unless the word "Content.pac" means the actual Alaskan Wilderness pack. I'm not that sharp with computers and files, but would like to get this fixed. Right now, I just feel like I spent $14.95 for a corrupted file. Thanks in advance for any help. Regards, Jerry (N60JC)
  2. Book'em Dano !! lol Well, after over 7 tons of Clandestine flights, I finally got nabbed today on a flight from Panda to Kapaula along the Southern coast of Molokai. It was the shortest clandestine flight I'd seen since starting them when I was @ level 9. Just under 40 nm. Didn't know what to expect when it happened. I was expecting a suspension of my pilots license or having my Maule impounded for a week. Turned out, you just get a message saying "Mission Failed". Not to be deterred though, I quickly found another load from Lanai to Kaupulehu on the Big Island @ just under 80 nm. Flew this one at night (extra $$). The night flights are a bit of a hair-raiser landing on fields I can barely find during the day. Great fun though. Regards, Jerry
  3. Hi Ken. Like RoboRay said, Flight already has voice comms built into the sim. AzureWX has a post that pretty much describes how to set it up. Read Here: http://forum.avsim.n...367004-headset/ There are 3 slider settings in the voice setting panel. Set these to: Activation threshold to minimum, playback and record to maximum. Hope this works for you. Jerry
  4. I'm beginning to wonder if MS has opened all the aerocaches to date plus adding new ones. I'm up to 116 now and still finding new (to me) random cashes as well. Back when they were running 2 aerocaches a day, there were days when I didn't have the time to get one or even both. All of a sudden, there popping up here and there. Spent the morning hunting down all the sites mentioned in this post and came up with only 2 sites (Waimea Bridge and the small boat harbor in Honolulu). I toured the entire north shore of Oahu from Bellows to Dillingham, and found a new one in between hangers 1 and 2 at the south end of Kaneohe Bay (MCAF). Last week I stumbled across 2 within 5 miles of Dillingham. One was at a satelite tracking station to the south of PHDH and the other on top of a 4000 ft. plateau with a lighted comm. tower (heading @ 130 degrees from PHDH). My memory is not the best anymore, but I'm sure I got the one at the East end of Bradshaw and the tower @ Ford. In any event, I'm having fun with "Flight", and looking forward to the future.
  5. Great post Jac. The overall immersive level just went up 50% on a nurse/patient flight from the big island to PHNL. Even got to hear the tower spank someone for misuse of the radio.
  6. Mapping is done through In-Game...Options/Game Controls. Scroll down to "Voice Chat All". Mine was labled "Tab". Should be able to make it any key that's not in use in game. Click accept to save. You must be of an advanced age like me (lol). I remember watching the show Sky King as a kid on Sat. mornings.
  7. Hey gucommander. Sorry I didn't see this post last night. I'm new at this and could use some pointers on high wind landings. Have you tried the RV-6 landing challenge mission yet (think it's #2) ... Landing in a 29 knot crosswind ? Took me about 12 tries to get a score of over 1400. Wind is so strong that your coming in at about a 10 degree angle (pointing @ about 1 o'clock just before touchdown. Like to see how it's done to get a perfect score. Still think I got lucky to get my 1407 pts.
  8. Hold down to talk. Release when finished. It acts as an intermittent switch instead of an on/off switch. You can also map voice to another key if it's easier for you.
  9. Thanks Heimi, that worked for me. Saved a lot of time there.
  10. RusticRooster21 is mine. Would look forward to some group flying and picking up tips and such. Might need some help setting up voice as well.
