  1. I wonder if anyone has experienced the odd problem that has appeared for me out of nowhere? Suddenly my camera views have become messed up. Cycling through A and S keys has changed sequence and perspectives completely. I have a Saitek Cessna yoke and all button assignments have been switched around. Furthermore, when I go in to settings and change them back they will not save and revert back to the wrong ones again. I am running EZDOK and have used it superbly for years. I have not touched it in anyway but I notice that things are more normal when I disable it. OK so I reinstalled and reprogrammed it but no improvement. Suddenly out of nowhere! What could have caused this and any ideas how I can resolve it? Thanks everyone for any help you can offer. JON GREEN
  2. Can't see anything in their David and thanks for the suggestion Dave but no I don't use the Aivilasoft EFB that you mention.
  3. I wonder if I could ask the community for some help on an odd and very annoying problem which has just appeared? When I set up my flight in FSX I adjust my time to suit, but when I am setting up my aircraft at the gate FSX suddenly reloads itself and switches back to the system time on my PC. I have tried checking and unchecking the "use system time for flight time" in the general menu in FSX but it makes no difference. I did have FS Real Time installed but removed it in case of a conflict. Made no difference. Anyone else experienced this? Kind regards JON GREEN
  4. Taxi2Gate is far superior and I now rank them amongst the best. However I encountered a VAS issue because I was also running Fly Tampa Kai Tak and a version of Macau. Be careful of that one if your machine isn't really top end! So much detail in one small area can be a problem.
  5. Hi Jim I did visit the FSDT forum and was a little nervous of "going over old ground" but thankfully spotted an identical problem in another thread. I followed the advice but sadly without success. I was trying to save the guys some work by dealing with the same issue again! But you are right so I have opened another thread and I'm sure I will get things resolved quite quickly. Your help and and advice Jim is so much more helpful than those who join in the conversation with just the word "Exactly". My thanks once again. JON
  6. Hi Jim I followed advice given in another thread which reported exactly the same problem. Latest now is a message saying "An unknown add-on is causing Couatl Scripting Engine to restart" It tells me to look in couatl.err which I cannot open. Very tired!
  7. Can you kindly tell me where I find the dll.xml file? I looked in the app data / roaming / virtuali and cannot see it. When I find it where do I put it? I have just followed FSDT advice and reinstalled Add On Mngr and Couatl with Anti-virus disabled but still no buildings!! So frustrating but thanks for any help.
  8. Thank you Sesquashtoo and Jim for your kind help. I did delete Add On Manager and Coutl, then I downloaded again and installed. Great news is that I can now get back in to FSX but sadly the buildings at all my FSDT and FB airports have vanished. KDEN has also vanished from the list in Add On Manager! Restarting Coutl from the FSX menu didn't work. JON
  9. Just opened FSX and was invited to update my Coutl Engine and Add-On Manager for my FSDT and FB products. Did this exactly as instructed and now FSX simply will not launch. I get the opening splash screen with the FSX logo but it shuts itself down and disappears from my screen. What on earth has happened and does anyone have any ideas how I can recover this? Thank you JON GREEN
  10. Thank you Jim for your kind help. I will give it a try.
  11. Hello friends I have foolishly lost a bgl file from the default FSX scenery folder and I would like to get it back! Any ideas where I can get it? Is it possible to find it on one of the original discs? Thank you in advance!
  12. Thank you Netshadoe for your input. I am referring to the weather settings in FSX where you can enable or disable turbulence affect on aircraft. I agree that EZDOK reacts to and does not create turbulence but you can adjust the severity of the affect and this was where I wanted opinions. If you run FSX, EZDOK and ASN together, any tips on achieving best realism?
  13. So Gents may I ask for your opinions on obtaining best turbulence effects? I use ASN and wonder if I should switch off the turbulence in FSX and simply adjust ASN to my preference. Or should I leave FSX enabled? In addition I also run EZDOC for flightdeck camera views and ground/air turbulence shake. What should I do with all three and how do they interact? Thank you!
  14. Yes I am experiencing the same problem. I thought it would be cured by the new service packs but sadly not. I have rebuilt my saved panels but still have the problem. Whilst on the subject of PMDG quirks, I have searched high and low for a solution to the "racing clock" problem in the FMC of the 737NGX. It only occurs in certain parts of the world. I found a couple of threads but they did not seem to offer me an answer. Was there ever a final answer and solution to this problem? Kyle may I ask you if you are aware of a solution? Thank you kindly in advance.
  15. I agree. Great to see South Africa in the forum! I travel there frequently on business and can confirm it is a superb country...with people to match. Sitting in the Waterfront at Cape Town, sipping a cold beer and listening to an African choir. Magical.
