  1. Thanks for that, SteveW. I'm not at al, familiar with those SDK folders. Any precautions I need to take with them?
  2. Running Win 10. Everything is firing on all cylinders EXCEPT that my aircraft icon isn't appearing on the Plan G map, the latter being displayed on my secondary monitor. What is amiss? Thanks. I've selected the Simconnect radio button therein.
  3. It transpired that I needed to switch on that secondary monitor before booting up my PC and primary monitor. All now tickety-boo.
  4. Having created a flight plan with Plan G, the latter being displayed on a secondary monitor, my aircraft icon isn't appearing on the map there. Can you confirm that I need FSUIPC installed into my FSX:SE to have it appear? Or is there an alternative solution.? Thanks.
  5. Thankyou. Newbie question.....how do I get to show that Windowed mode?
  6. Having managed to get a secondary monitor connected and operating - at last - I am using it to display Plan G. This is then intended to be connected to, and reflect my FSX Steam flights. However as soon as I load up FSX the secondary monitor screen goes completely blank. How might I solve this problem....with your help, of course. Thanks.
  7. What a klutz I am. Problem was that I just landed 1.8 miles too early. Satisfactorily completed now. Many thanks.
  8. Thankyou. Nope, I haven't added or changed anything at all in that, or any other mission. I too began by ignoring the Friday Harbour choice and delivered that passenger where he wished but I wanted to earn my Orca whale sighting postcard 'badge' so chose the FH alternative as that's the route on which they are found...some five miles short of FH. Very good of you to offer this help, charliesron. Meanwhile I trust your birthday was an enjoyable one and not at all regretted as it marked the passing of another user.
  9. I'll check. I do think so. All that I could see approximately below the green arrow was a sloping concrete way, like a small dinghy landing site. I'll check again. What a delightful site this is. There's always a helpful soul who pops up with good suggestions. No luck. I was already set to extreme density. I'll take a look on the FSX:SE site.
  10. So I've spotted the Orca whales and am motoring into Friday harbor but where on earth is the dock? I have the big green arrow ahead of me but no sign of a dock. Have the Steam folk removed it? Could I have an idea from some helpful soul? Thanks.
  11. I had removed all of FSX in order to have plenty of room for FSX: SE. Could not make the latter run so I've returned to the vanilla FSX . Now my DVDs can't carry out the installation process. The Install Wizard offers me only the two choices of 'Repairing ' or 'Removing' neither of which do anything. When I try either of them a popup quoting' Error 1610' appears telling me that "The configuration data for this product is corrupt". Earlier installs have gone without any trouble. The disc surfaces look fine. Any ideas, Folks?
  12. Recently I tried out "Tom's HUD" for the Bell 206 but it didn't work for me. I took the precaution of backing up files as he suggested, and following the HUD failure, I re-installed them. However, in the process, I have lost the Bell 206 from the Free Flight stable and would like to recapture it. Any kind soul out there who could offer me some helpful advice....preferably short of re-installing FSX. Thanks, folks. PS And is there a similar HUD suitable for FSX that actually works?
  13. Thank you...I have tried that route already but, before giving up on this copy I'll give that re- install a try.
  14. An addition to my recent post. On booting up I'm presented with a pop-up that tells me that activation cannot be completed owing to an " Error Code 8-c0000006 ". On advice I've Google'd for Application Activation help, have downloaded and substituted in the appropriate folder the three 'dll' files but that hasn't helped at all. Such substitution has resulted in my not even being able to see that pop-up...a retrograde step. So I've replaced the original 'dll' files. So I'm stuck. I'm wondering whether to simply buy a new Activation Pack. Any helpful thoughts, folks?
  15. I've just done the dance but following the re-install of FS-X, and its successful activation, there was no request to activate the Acceleration Pack when that went in, so I am stuck with just fifteen minutes of usage before I'm asked to buy it...again. Is there a way around this? Frustrating as I've already spent many happy hours with FS-X.
