FSX-MS Flight planning in the |Embraer Phenom 500
Buzzardier posted a topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Having d/loaded and installed this lovely aircraft, followed by the 'Nav. Pack; add on, I am finding it impossible to create either a "Direct to" or a Flight Plan using the G1000 or the GCU 477 units. i believe the first input needs to be the ICAO code for my start airfield. However, when I use the inner section of the FMS control wheel and turn it clockwise, despite the input area - lying immediately below the Comms radio settings - starting to flash willingly, there's no way that I can input any code. It just flashes away, blissfully indifferent. Anything I might have missed ? That sound problem I had earlier has been solved with a bit of finger extraction. Thanks for your helpful suggestions. -

Phenom 300 sound levels
Buzzardier replied to Buzzardier's topic in The X-Plane General Discussions Forum
Terrific. Where should Ihsve posted then? -
Having installed the Phenom 300 recently, and running with Win 10 Pro and using FSX Steam, I find that my ear drums are being assailed by the sound levels that come with the aircraft,. The announcements concerning the "Terrain Check" and "HTOS check" being OK start the ball rolling. I contacted Carenado support for advice and received the following in reply.... " It can not be switch off or lowering the volume as the simulator's menu control the volume for their variables and codes and as this Prodigy system is made by us, it has different codes" Hmm. So I am unable to adjust this pretty aircraft's sound levels at all. I have already reduced the sound levels in FSX ??? Phew.

Thanks for that, SteveW. I'm not at al, familiar with those SDK folders. Any precautions I need to take with them?

Running Win 10. Everything is firing on all cylinders EXCEPT that my aircraft icon isn't appearing on the Plan G map, the latter being displayed on my secondary monitor. What is amiss? Thanks. I've selected the Simconnect radio button therein.

Having created a flight plan with Plan G, the latter being displayed on a secondary monitor, my aircraft icon isn't appearing on the map there. Can you confirm that I need FSUIPC installed into my FSX:SE to have it appear? Or is there an alternative solution.? Thanks.
-
Having managed to get a secondary monitor connected and operating - at last - I am using it to display Plan G. This is then intended to be connected to, and reflect my FSX Steam flights. However as soon as I load up FSX the secondary monitor screen goes completely blank. How might I solve this problem....with your help, of course. Thanks.

What a klutz I am. Problem was that I just landed 1.8 miles too early. Satisfactorily completed now. Many thanks.

Thankyou. Nope, I haven't added or changed anything at all in that, or any other mission. I too began by ignoring the Friday Harbour choice and delivered that passenger where he wished but I wanted to earn my Orca whale sighting postcard 'badge' so chose the FH alternative as that's the route on which they are found...some five miles short of FH. Very good of you to offer this help, charliesron. Meanwhile I trust your birthday was an enjoyable one and not at all regretted as it marked the passing of another user.

I'll check. I do think so. All that I could see approximately below the green arrow was a sloping concrete way, like a small dinghy landing site. I'll check again. What a delightful site this is. There's always a helpful soul who pops up with good suggestions. No luck. I was already set to extreme density. I'll take a look on the FSX:SE site.
