  1. I think I've worked it out... General Options/Accessibility/Cockpit Interaction System = Legacy General Options/Accessibility/Menu Tooltips = Off General Options/Accessibility/Instrument Name Tooltips = Off Seems to be working Rob
  2. I'm having the same problem and remains so whether I choose 'Modern' or 'Legacy'. Its also the same on default aircraft. Would appreciate any suggestions Rob
  3. My solution....... Having never managed to control these the Airliners in MSFS, I removed all the configuration of the joystick and thrust pedals and following a series of videos on the subject by Huddison on setting them back up again. Whilst not complete, I can now control the aircraft manually, take off in a straight line without veering off course and land either via autopilot or manually wihout loosing control. Huddison is not the only author of such youtube videos on the subject, but thanks to him anyway. I am now enjoying flying again. It is not perfect but hopefully with practice, it will improve, the remaining issues are down to me. Rob
  4. Laatest one today was speed @ 150, full flap setting Rob
  5. Can someone help me with doing something to my setup in order to avoid the loss of control when landing. Never had this problem with previous flight sim software (P3D & FSX etc), yet still have the same hardware, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick and Thrustmaster pedals, whilst using MSFS2020. If I am on an ILS approach, the aircraft remains steady until touchdown when it requires alot of effort to stay on or close to the the runway. Without an ILS, the aircraft becomes uncontrollable on approach maybe 2-5 miles from touchdown. I tend to use the A320 in MSFS2020, the Flybywire version, although I have tried the Microsoft version, also the A330 and Boeing 747 aicraft. I tend to get the speed down to landing speed on full flaps a couple of miles out in order to get things stable for landing, but almost all the time, it doesn't work. Just reading back through this sentence, it points to hardware setup, am I right? I have the freebie version of FSUIPC. I have MSFS Take off Auto-rudder set on, Assisted Landing on and assisted takeoff as Off. I have tried messing with the sensitivities of the joystick but don't seem to improve matters. Would appreciate some suggestions. Rob
  6. Downloaded the A330 Mod for MSFS, but there are many problems with the panel, many switches which work in the A320Nx mod which don't work in the A330, the Primary Flight display & the Navigation displays also do not work.Would appreciate if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks Rob
  7. I have always built my own computers but as time goes by, have lost a little confidence in getting the right choice. Any advice would be welcome. I hope each component fits the other components to provide a solid machine based around Microsofts recommended requirements but also minimizing the cost to around £400. I shall be using my current hard drives, case and power supply. MSI Radeon RX 570 ARMOR 8GB OC GDDR5 Graphics Card AMD Ryzen 5 2600X AM4 Processor with Wraith Spire Cooler MSI AMD B450M-A PRO MAX AM4 mATX Motherboard Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (1 x 16GB) DDR4 2400 DIMM Memory Thanks for any help Rob
  8. Thanks Guys for your comments, whilst taking your comment JoeFackel into account, I have gone through your reply Chock in detail and have found a series of setting which the computer feels happy with and even a little leeway to improve. Thanks for that. Rob
  9. Hi I read with interest the various threads on v5 setups but wonder if anyone with a greater knowledge that me could advise on the v5 setup for a lower end computer & Graphics card. Windows 10 with AMD FX 6300 six-core processor 3.50GHz, 16gb ram, 64 bit, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6gb I have a lot of payware airports, such as FDST, Taxi2Gate, LatinVFR, UK2000 and use mainly Aerosoft Airbusses or Qualitywings 787 Thanks for any help and suggestions Rob
  10. I've been using ProAtc with Airbus latest versions of the A320 family without issue. Rob
  11. Thanks Romain, it seems to be working ok now. Appreciate your advice Rob Payne
  12. Thanks William, it is there, just no shortcuts. Rob Payne
  13. Just had to reinstall everything due to an operating system (Windows 10 64bit) error. On re-installing PMDG 777 base package within P3D 4.1 the PMDG operations centre appeared in the final stages of the 777 install (to load an update), but then disappears. Cannot find it on my computer at all. The 777 is working fine. Any suggestions? Thanks Rob Payne
  14. All sorted, sorry to disturb your viewing of more important issues. Why wasn't it working, don't know for sure, just re-installed a few sceneries and it seems to be working. I have FSX (running very well) and P3D running from the same hard drive, not sure if that had a bearing on the problem. Rob
  15. I don't seem to be able to make any jetways work. They are visible, but just don't move. In previous flight sims (FSX, FSX-SE), there has been an option to include advanced animations within settings, but in P3D 3.35, that doesn't seem to exist. I have scenery complexity on extremely dense, special effects detail & distance on high. I have checked the shortcut and that is correctly configured. The airports I have tried, are default P3D airports, FSDreamTeam & Taxi2Gate airports. The aircraft is correctly positioned at the gate. I'm stuck and would welcome any suggestions. Rob P.
  16. Is there a way of de-activating the License other than through the FMC and without FSX working?
  17. Thanks Guys for your suggestions Everything now appears to be working normally Took Mike's suggestion in removing the ARPT_RWY.data file, plus as I thought it was in an unrecoverable situation, probably caused my me uninstalling and reinstalling the 777 (not following the correct procedure) after the original FMC issue, I again uninstalled the aircraft, this time following the correct steps, then reinstalled it and everything is fine, the FMC included. Thanks for your help Rob Payne
  18. Mike Haven't ignored your suggestion, might be a day or so before I get around to trying it. Thank you, will report back soon Rob
  19. I have two folders in the FSX\PMDG folder, one 'NAVDATA' plus 'SIDSTARS' and of course all the others not relating to NavData. Yes I did install NavData as admin. The 737 is working fine and picking all relevant NavData, so it purely the 777 But now when I try to load the 777, I am getting a dark screen (in daylight), plus incomplete cockpit panels which I cannot use at all. Nothing works. This has only just happened. Rob Payne Thanks VC10Man, can confirm i Have the same setup and settings, thank you Rob Payne
  20. Thanks Kyle for your reply. I have tried lots of airports in the 'ORIGIN & DEST' entries, apparently not in the database, also tried entering a valid route in the 'CO ROUTE' entry, causing an 'INVALID ENTRY' error. Have tried uninstalling the 777, re-installing it and get the same errors. Have tried re-installing the NavData, again without success. Rob
  21. Went to use my 777LR after a few weeks away from FSX to find that I am unable to load any flightplan or navdata. Created a flightplan with PFPX, as normal, went to load the flight through 'route request' on FMC, the FMC goes through the process of sending the request, advising that the uplink is ready, I then select 'load' and it then starts going through the process of loading but then shows an error 'INVALID ROUTE UPLINK'. this happens whatever the route I used of the 14 stored, that I have used previously. I then attempt to load nav data manually, but the error 'NOT IN DATA BASE' comes up. I have tried reinstalling the Nav Data, sucessfully, the files appear to in the correct places. I use Windows10, FSX-SE and have done so, successfully since Windows 10 was released, until now. Any help would be appreciated. Rob
