  1. There is a flight director in the EFIS AI. (Artificial Horizon). I can add it to the analog AI as well for the next version.
  2. I assume your are using FSX. If this is the case you have to use the FSX version of all fuel gauges. Are you using a specific aircraft add-on? If so, which one?
  3. It looks like the license file on the USB stick has the wrong name. Insert your USB stick and check the contents. It should have a file called PanelBuilderDodosim206License.lic If you have a file called PanelBuilderLicense.lic instead, rename it to match the above name.
  4. What are the assigned IP addresses and netmasks? Panel Builder uses a multicast network protocol and both computers have to run on the same subnet.
  5. Thanks for the suggestions. 1. Not sure what you mean by this. What would the local file achieve? The Navigation database for the MFD GPS is derived from real aviation data from various sources. Also the GPS is not only compatible to FSX, but also for other simulators like X-Plane etc. 2. That sounds good. I'll make a button for this on the map screen. 3. You can do this already by using the Panel Setup and choose not to show bezels and dials. Unfortunately this affects all instrument right now. I'll add an option for the GPS individually. 4. I could also make the buttons show through a transparent 'border', basically leave it like it is but make the map bigger, extend it out to the border and have a transparent border with the button captions. 2nd MFD? I was thinking the same. You could always show a 2nd GPS unit and on this one show the active flight plan without the background map and on the other one just the background map. (You can add the GPS more than once to a panel).
  6. You are correct. The issue is Windows VISTA. I could recreate the problem. Still trying to find a solution.
  7. Yes, you can install the Cougar MFD on your other PC. Just plug it in, then install the ButtonMapper on the same PC, that's it. The ButtonMapper will communicate with Panel Builder over the network. It is definitely a VISTA issue, I could re-create the problem. Not sure about a solution yet..
  8. There must be something very basic wrong. ButtonMapper is actually not opening any device. I really don't know at this stage why there is a 'Cannot open device' error. What happens if you unplug the Cougar MFD and start up Button Mapper? Do you always get the error? I'm starting to think this is related to Vista. I'm having a look if I can find any issue with this on Vista.
  9. You install the ButtonMapper program on the same PC that has the Cougar MFD plugged into. The ButtonMapper Program communicates to Panel Builder via the network. You can install the Cougar MFD/ButtonMapper combo on any networked PC.
  10. Can you post a screenshot when the error message appears? Does it display the number of USB devices attached (shown in the status bar)? What other USB devices to you have attached?
  11. No problem. We are still officially testing P3D V2 with Panel Builder. There has also been a new SDK released. We should be done verifying it towards the end of the week.
  12. I am posting in the other topic for possible solutions, please look in there from now on.
  13. Do you have an error message when ButtonMapper launches besides the one you told me? Is there any additional information for the "Device cannot be opened" error? I have to look if there are any issues on Vista (unfortunately I don't have a Vista system to test on). We have users using ButtonMapper and the Thrustmaster Cougar, but they did not install any software (no drivers etc) and it worked right away. Did you load any drivers for Thurstmaster? Maybe you can try to un-install them. You do not need to be connected when configuring ButtonMapper.
  14. Is the Server to Client connection via a cross-over cable? Is there a router in the network? How are the IP addresses assigned? If there is no router in the network to server up IP addresses (DNS), you need to set static IP addresses for both PCs.
  15. Did you open the other topic? Any error messages you are getting? Might be an issue with button mapper.
  16. No other software needs to be installed. It looks like that ButtonMapper has an error when it tries to launch. Any further action wouldn't work if this has a problem. Do you have any more information besides what you have described? Can you send me screenshots? You can also e-mail to support@simplugins.com. I'll update the forum.
  17. We haven't tested Panel Builder with P3D V2.0 yet. I assume it would work. Does P3D V1.4 work for you over the network? This should not be an issue as the networking used is our own and has nothing to do with P3D.
  18. I have placed the correct dll on our server. You can download it from here: http://www.simplugins.com/System.Data.SQLite.dll and then place it into C:\Program Files (x86)\Panel Builder\Instruments_GPS or C:\Program Files (x86)\EFIS Panel Builder\Instruments_GPS
  19. This has been fixed. A new version has been posted. Go to http://www.simplugins.com , downloads section and get the new version,. As usual, uninstall the current version using windows control panel. Sorry about the oversight. There was a missing variable in the the prepar3D interface.
  20. OK, thanks for reporting this. I'll have a look.
  21. A patch has been created. I sent you an e-mail with the link for you to test. After that the new version will be available from our website early next week.
  22. You need to un-install Panel Builder from your old PC. Then install it on your new PC and run through the Activation process again. You will receive a new Activation Code for this new install. There is no de-register, this is handled in our server.
  23. To upgrade your version, please follow the upgrade instructions here. Also note that you need to upgrade Panel Builder AND the Panel Builder Interface (X-Plane, FSX Simconnect or FSUIPC, whichever you are using).
