  1. I watched that video and it's not the type of FSX video I want to create. I just want to create the simple pushback-taxi-takeoff from a wing view with the sound synced. I have not seen anywhere where that is explained.

  3. I've begun thinking it's time to start exploring places outside of the USA since I now feel fairly comfortable with the aircraft I have and want to start taking longer flights. The airports right now that I am planning on getting are FT Dubai, TNCM, FSDT Zurich, and it appears UK2000 has a nice selection of airports also. If anybody has any suggestions on other airports or developers to check out it would be much appreciated. The regions I am mostly looking for are Europe, Asia, and South America. Thank you in advance!
  4. I got that from flight aware and then PFPX rebuilt it or whatever it does when you give it a route. Yea I didn't realize I had to only put the last way point for the J6 segment. Thank you for the step by step process very helpful.
  5. That is basically what I realized I could do with PFPX. I have found it much more fun to fly a real route and then just have PFPX "correct" it or whatever it does when it builds the route I pick. Yea it is much easier to just export the route but I realized if I want to use the QWPAS system you have to use a flight plan loaded from the FSX flight planner or enter it manually. I did just do a successful flight however when entering the flight plan I ran into a issue. This was the route I flew. KCLT- ZAVER2 BNA DCT KF33E DCT IRW DCT PNH J6 ZUN EAGUL5-KPHX. Now maybe I misunderstood what to actually enter but I thought I had to add the first and last way point of an airway. So during the J6 portion there are 3 waypoints. TCC-ABQ-ZUN obviously ZUN is the last one before entering the STAR. So I entered J6-TCC and then tried to enter ZUN but ZUN just overwrote TCC so ZUN was the way point and the other 2 were not in the flight plan. Is that how it is supposed to work or did I mess something up?
  6. Yea it was not updated. I also didn't realize the flight sim entries were all at the bottom of the cfg. Never seen that before. Thank you.
  7. The entering flight plan manually is more a general question about how it should be done correctly. I've tried in the past but for some reason I can't seem to figure out what the issue is wit what I am putting into the FMC. Some of the PFPX instructions I can understand. Like I get what are the high altitude airways and stuff those I get but there are times where it says DCT and then more way points after it but I can't figure out what DCT means. Also when there are tons of way points does each one need to be entered or if you are going to be flying along the same airway over multiple waypoints can you just enter the first and last and it will fill in the rest or do you still need to enter each one manually? My QW 757 question is I have been trying to use the QWPAS system which is cool but for some reason whenever I am flying using the new United livery the default QW safety message plays. I have installed the QWPAS for United 2012 but it doesn't seem to work with the new United livery. However when I installed the Continental QWPAS it worked with the new United livery. Is there a way I change it so I get the United 2012 to play with the updated United livery plane?
  8. I see plenty of planes in flight so whatever routes the UT2 planes follow are very popular airways. Yea UT3 with everything updated would be fantastic. I have though had fun replacing tons of planes and adding new ones with updated liveries.
  9. Could somebody suggest some airlines that WOAI covers that UT2 doesn't? I have been trying to find airlines that UT2 doesn't have. Another question I have is. Since WOAI uses the same models as most of the planes I have installed from places like TFS, and FAIB does it matter if I install them again using the WOAI installer? I know in the guide it installs them to the simobjects/airplane folder whereas I have all my UT2 planes in there own folder.
  10. If they can figure out a way to have these airports preform well around NYC I certainly will buy it. Haven't been able to fly into any NY/NJ airport with higher than 17 FPS.

  13. Yea I have FS2crew for the 737 and the Airbus X and I think it is awesome. Thank you all for the suggestions.
  14. And by spending a few more bucks you mean the Level D 767? I just noticed there is a FS2crew program for that one so that alone makes it very appealing.
  15. Can you elaborate on the systems not being as well modeled? I am more just looking for a working FMC and being able to input routes and pick sids/stars that kind of thing. I have the QW 757 and it's great so I certainly will wait for that. Do you have any idea when that might be released?
  16. I am looking to add these two planes to my collection. I am looking for opinions on what companies have created the best of these two aircraft? They don't need to be PMDG complex but I would like there to be some learning curve to them.
  17. I use FS Global 2010 mesh and it's a great product. Really adds something to when landing in mountainous areas. There have only been a couple times where I have run into the aircraft carrier airport effect as was posted above. However most of these issues can be resolved by changing the scenery order or by changing one of the airports files.
  18. When this has happened to me I have noticed sometimes the entries aren't marked correctly. Like the livery isn't named exactly correct and that can cause it to be messed up. Also the numbering might be off in the sequence can also cause it. I also think there are some repaints that are not compatible with FSX. Another thing is to check that the actual contents of the config file are correct. Like you have it under the right model folder, or even make sure the wording inside the file matches all the other repaints for that aircraft you have.
  19. Yea I am wondering if there is a way to where I don't have to do that for each flight? Just be able to update everything so I know the 737 FMC is gonna match the frequency/course in FSX. The airport design editor sounds like a good tool but I really don't want to try and figure out what airports are correct and what airports are not. I figured there might be an easier way but if there is not then so be it and I'll do that. Yea that is what I found that I had everything inputted correctly however I got localizer deviation and I don't know why. That is why I thought maybe when I switched the files something got messed up. From what I recall the approach was right where it should have been. I was below the GS to capture at the correct altitude so I am not exactly sure where I could have gone wrong. Maybe I did and I just don't remember.
  20. I think as you pass planes in the sky eventually they "disappear". I just did a flight from KSFO-KEWR and there seemed to be a group of planes with me within 40 miles or so almost the whole flight. Another thing I like about UT2 is that you can stop traffic/ or clear the traffic around you in case you're flying into a heavily congested airport and don't want one of the other planes cutting you off or something. I didn't look to see if MTX has any option that like but maybe it does.
  21. So attempting to land at KDEN I realized the FMC data in the PMDG 737 and the FSX ILS Course data were different. So obviously the plane didn't intercept the GS. Now I looked online and thought I found this thing that updates the ILS frequencies/courses so I installed it into the scenery folder and replaced the magdec file with the new one. So my next flight I am landing at KEWR 22R and I have 110.75/219 setup but the plane doesn't intercept the localizer either. And the co-pilot tells me localizer deviation. Now I looked at the map and I had the stuff tuned correctly so why did the plane not intercept the LOC or GS. Could it be when I updated the file it messed something up? Or could somebody recommend the correct tool to update this stuff?
  22. I'm actually using a LCD tv as the monitor. So should I still do the color calibration thing? I am running DX9. I used the PMDG guide for the nividia tweaks. Only changes to the config were high memfix, and the affinity mask tweak. How do I clear the shader cache?
  23. All very good airports and certainly worth the price you would be getting them at.
  24. I know you have already made your traffic choice but using UT2 you would not see that big of a drop in FPS. If anything I think the default UT2 plane models keep the FPS where they are but with regards to what I saw with MTX my FPS actually increased a decent amount when I switched to UT2. Something that helped with my FPS was not using a FPS limiter. Just run the sim at unlimited.
  25. I used the settings from a tweaking guide so I followed what was suggested I am just curious what the thing is actually doing to the sim. I mean the sim looked fine it's just I am wondering what the program actually does.
