  1. Where the hell are the mods? Or is it a thing to blame everyone in your recent pinned post? Crystal clear lies and confirmed as well, is this forum so biased? Greazer and rka picking personally on people on other forums as well and not just here, is it ok to do that in Avsim? or is it Ok when it's against x-plane forums? What a shame this forum is... Don't hesitate to post another pinned post blaming everybody for this please, what a joke. More recent quotes by Greazer: This on you mods, don't say we didn't mention that long time ago. close this x-plane section it will be much better.
  2. So I guess this kind of attitude is just fine in Avsim. LMAO, what a clown.
  3. And I'm waiting for LR and friends claims about expected x-plane 12 performance. Both of us are not perfect, at least I back my claims with something and admit when I'm wrong😉
  4. Yes, it did. All those features were announced to be worked on after Vulkan and Metal, no matter how many times you claim this, there are interviews, QAs and many blog posts. They wanted to change lighting immediately after x-plane 11 shipped, introduce new water, shader based seasons mentioned in 2017 etc... all in the blog, way before MSFS was ever announced. The last straw for the decision to move to Vulkan/Metal first came in the beginning of all of this and due to OpenGL limitations so everything was put down. You should listen to this one: (mainly 23:50 and beyond) You are right and I apologize, you are here since May. But then you came with the same nonsense claims as above and are proven wrong every time you/others claim them. Every time you/others came here claiming x-plane can't compete the immediate answers were they will work on graphics post vulkan, constant badgering does not change reality. The same words have been said for the last 2 years and somehow the WRONG ones try to twist it in their favor as if they were right. No one here is stupid, we have a very long memory span and all of this was mentioned way before MSFS came out. MSFS though, probably set the new bar as how competition works, the only thing it means is that LR have to make better features of the already long time planned features. i.e. if they planned volumetric clouds, then now they have a bar to meet of how they should look like and what they can do better. Most of your claims now are "this should come sooner" rather than "x-plane can't compete and will die", time to move on from this childish mental state. And don't worry, you will be wrong about those 20 fps in Austin's video and I still remember you challenging me about that, although you will hesitate when it comes I'm 100% sure as you backed down from previous claims in very recent discussions with me (so no, not 2 years for you, but you still made the impression with the same nonsense).
  5. Ego actually. Literaly every predection made by him and few others is 100% wrong resulting them in going wild with speculations about an early alpha not even a full product yet. And as usual they will be wrong, it is in their nature hence the bar changing hoping they might be right about something and the in-ability to confront without twisting words/sarcasm.
  6. You claimed that vulkan took more time because there was no competetion and I gave other actual valid reasons, MSFS was an example of how even for bigger teams low profile API is hard. Are you going to, as usual, not confront them rather ignore? A way to run away from your own claims. FWIW, being WRONG in every predection since 2 years yet still claiming you were somehow right makes almost this entire section mostly look at you as a laughing matter ;D Too late, rka, indeed, too late to change them.
  7. Reasons for Vulkan/Metal taking longer than expected is them revisiting memory streaming 3-4 times and the openGL bridge so we all can still use most 3rd party addons in 11.50 and 12 as well. In MSFS dx12 for xbox took a year with the pc version just now going for a long beta. So yes it takes years regardless and LR implemented not just 1, but 2 new APIs.
  8. No I meant excatly what I wrote without you twisting it, that it depends on a 3rd party developer to optimize his own product.
  9. I was under the impression that if you claim something (reminder: "LR and their friends here said x-plane 12 will have worse fps") you should prove it, so to answer: 1) Who are those LR "friends" and where did they say that in here? 2) Where did LR say that? So you are pretty much complaining that x-plane 11 ended too soon? Ok, that I might understand, but not agree with. But for x-plane 12 the plans are clear, graphic features and hardware efficiency. If you don't think LR are up to the task, that is another story, and the only thing we can do is to see the stable release. Right now it seems they are not even done with early alpha.
  10. Dont change the bar mate, stand behind your claims. Im still waiting for "LR and friends" proof. None was mentioned about payware plane, but if a 3rd party does not optimize his addon well how come it is LR's fault? Yeah...
  11. With all my respect Greazer, im not going to exhaust any more energy while you are clearly lacking basic knowledge about how x-plane works, especially since it was discussed here and many other ocassions but it seems you are not comprehending frankly. All i'm gonna do is quote this: https://developer.x-plane.com/2020/11/stuff-we-are-working-on/ "Once we finish rendering features, we can pivot back to performance and push hard on multicore. The next multicore goal is to be able to render multiple views in parallel using multiple cores" They are still on the adding rendering features time, is that so hard to comprehend? As usual, loud and false claims. What am I looking at? Bug fixes for 11.50 beta? Supposed to prove that LR didn't fix performance bugs? Huh?
  12. Prove your claims about LR plans. If you think older clouds to use more gpu is some sort of a fix that needs to be done, then you are the one mis understanding the entire process. Frankly if you still think new features are on top of others then you totaly have no idea about it, read other comments in this thread carefully and you will realize why you are wrong, then again, time to stop wasting time on 2-3 individuals here that none taking their claims seriously anymore. In a whatever time, x-plane 12 will be released with better perfroamnce than this, you and the other one here will be proved wrong again but will still come here and insisit that LR fixed stuff for your badgering favor, just like the claims that LR were not working on graphics until MSFS came out although all of this mentioned before it was even announced. A way of overrating self improtance and twisting reality lol
  13. So what's your point actually? To already convince everyone that x-plane 12 will have bad fps? Or a legitimate concern? If the latter, then it was already answered, it is an un-optimized code that is also full of debug and testing tools that drive performance down even more, this 100% won't be the state of the final product and it is obvious. No. Most of those effects are replacing the old ones and going to already idle gpu times, they are very common in x-plane 11.
  14. "Not allowed" is one way to twist it, or just take the official answer of LR that it is too soon as they are still focusing on adding the features, I mean austin literaly says it in the video, what is more needed as a "proof" that it is too soon to talk about? There is no actual discussion here, you guys are speculating and nitpicking everything regardless of what LR are doing or even saying. You are feeding your own speculations and preseneting them as facts, what's the point/interest doing that in every thread? Please do answer where LR and their "friends" said this is going to be the perfromance. You can't huh?
  15. What friends? And you should re watch/read what LR said, the features are more GPU demanding. More hardware demands does not mean less FPS, it will probably mean that a GTX 1070 that had lots of spare time in v11 will need to sweat more in v12. Performance and hardware can't be discussed yet and that's LR's official answer in the latest QA in their website. Optimizations, UI setting etc...all of this is yet to be done, they are still adding new features.
  16. Not what they said rather talked about better use of hardware, how can they promise better fps when they don't have any valid benchmarks yet? and even in this very video he is talking about lots of performance optmizations to come, if you even watched it..... I guess speculating and pre-mature conclusions go with the wishful thinking manner 😉
  17. I'm basing it on the fact that both p3d/xp are used to build and test real aircrafts for reality. But i'm also saying that for the home users, us, it does not matter therfore the whole debate of simulator vs game from a home user perspective is plain wrong and mostly driven by ego.
  18. It does not have to be a completely new aircraft, it can be new system, trying to predict failures, training an organization for a certain mission... Wether it fits the ego (simulator vs game) or not from a home user standpoint is irrelevant. So yes x-plane and p3d are more "simulators" because they give development tools and eco-system that are used to promote real life aviation advancements. But the majority of us are using them as "games" to pretend we are 737 captains, just like a typical MSFS, aerofly, DCS or another home simulator. So to me, an average home market customer, x-plane is not "more simulator than MSFS" as we are rarely exposed to the other aspects that matter To BETA, and many profissional companies, this difference is crucial.
  19. Yawwnnnnn Greazer in 10 years from now: if it does not have sunflower fields, i will not buy x-plane 15 and it will die just like I said it will a decade ago, and obviously was right about XD You are stuck in a time loop mate.
  20. P3D is included in my definition with out a single doubt. And yes, what helps advance aviation technology in reality has a better value as a simulator than "pretendeing to be a 737 captain" flying above my home. Your assumption about my comment (and my nickname) is wrong, i'm a home-market user so I might use MSFS as well. BETA or lockheed, are not, and unlike us they do something to advance reality. No point of getting defensive just because I dared to say something unpopular in an MSFS forum.
  21. You are completely missing the point. For a year and a half, the only thing we can read here is your BS predections and assumptions, that were literaly ALL Wrong: 1) x-plane will have no users: look at the stats, they have even more now. 2) 3rd party developers will abandon x-plane: official comments by aerosoft and justflight, as well as obvious advancements with new products announced every single week, provr you wrong. Then, in all arrogance, you still come here and tell us how you are right. You tell us that if it wasn't for you constantly whining, x-plane 12 graphic improvements won't happen. But rest assured, LR already announced all of this as WIP way before MSFS was even released, and your constant lifeless badgering has nothing to do with it, you have no credit at all. If you think you do, that'a great, anything that makes you fell better is welcome, but *NO ONE CARES* no matter how many times you over estimate your self importance, you were wrong with every predection you made, simple as that, and everyone here is mostly sick of you and your every 5 minutes dramatic announcements about your intention to buy or not.
  22. We all know believe me. And believe me when I tell you, no one here cares if you buy xp12 or not so it's mostly you wasting time on a announcements that no one gives a single ounce about.
  23. While I agree with all your post in relation to the home market, there is a better way to draw the line: A "real" simulator is one that can be tested against reality to test, promote, fix and improve existing aviation tech. For example, creating a new aircraft design that is aimed to fly in reality.
  24. If you want to really try to justify your opinion by setting the bar for just "home simulation market" excluding marginal $$$ and user bases you are free to do so. But the facts still speak and every speculation you had about x-plane for now is wrong, maybe just don't over talk about a platform you are not familiar with. You keep talking about how funding is going to go so here you go, just as LR always said the mobile the pro and the home version fund each other. But shout some mails to austin maybe teach him how to run a business. You keep mentioning PMDG and fenix while x-plane is way beyond that, those are just 2 airliners while I counted at least 4X more study level aircrafts on development, should I care?
