  1. Thank you for that information. Where is the update for the expired 2014 database? Also, do you know why after the re-installation that one of my views in the VC disappeared?
  2. Hi, On the A2A C172, I use the GNS 400 for my GPS. When I try to select an approach for my arrival airport 39N, only two options show up - RNAV 10 and VOR-A. I'd like to select RNAV 28 but the option isn't there at all. Is there any reason for this, or do I have to reinstall? Thank you And now that I have reinstalled it, I have lost a cockpit view...? The GPS is still the same.
  3. Oh ok. Thanks! I haven't taken many lessons yet (just two) so could that be a reason? They gave my the checklist for a 152.
  4. Hello, I'm looking for the best C172 checklist for the A2A C172R that is freeware - I take lessons in a flying school but I don't have the checklist yet. What's the best one in your opinion? Thanks.
  5. Haha, thanks man! Thank you I shot these at a location called The Mounds, close to Rockaway Blvd. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Idlewild+Park/@40.6577833,-73.754093,15.8z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x89c26683bf5cdec5:0xbcb17bff73c7e7d Nice to see a fellow AAVirtual.net member! Unfortunately I won't be flying too often now because I am starting flying lessons so I'll be on Cessna's more now.
  6. Hello! I am also a planespotter as well as a flight sim enthusiast and a student pilot working to get my PPL. I used to have a YouTube channel called CathayA340 but I made a new one called NYCPlanespotting - on CathayA340 I had 1200 subscribers and more than 100,000 views, and the new channel doesn't have as many so I'm working to get them back Here's the link to the channel I upload my planespotting videos on ; https://www.youtube.com/user/NYCPlanespotting They are from JFK and there are also some in flight videos in there. I also take pictures of course... 7. Really nice shots man! I too am a planespotter Just one thing - it's a CRJ-700 and not an E145
  8. This is so true. I just had my first flying lesson today and wow....just incredible. The moment I took off...nothing is better than that! I think I'll just stick with what I have.
  9. I adjusted the CPU Ratio/Multiplier to 40 and now have it running stable at 4.0GHZ. On the NGX VC at JFK, the max temp I got was 70C. Thanks!!
  10. Haha, ok - thank you for your feedback as well! I'm glad it will be simple...I'm so used to flying the 737NGX so hopefully it'll be understandable Very cool! Yeah, I believe that most pilots have at least a few hours in the 172. I will be flying the C172R or C172S out of 39N. http://www.princetonairport.com/our-fleet-of-airplanes-2/ Awesome Yeah, they're great! Lol cool, I'm glad it did Yes, they are! They seem quite hard, and money is definitely sparse when learning how to fly... Thank you! I actually don't want to overclock extremely. I guess I'll do that, and hopefully all goes well! I don't have any special cooler items installed, just the stock Intel CPU. Thank you Thank you. Indeed, all of you guys are quite helpful!
  11. Thank you for that info! I might get the Cooler Master 212 Hyper Evo, is that good? If 70C is ok, then I can overclock quite a bit in fact! I'm quite lower than that so that's good to hear!
  12. Ok I would just think it would probably useful to get at least the TPM for the throttle I don't have any cooler systems in the CPU though...anything you would recommend for the 4670K? Would it affect the life of the processor? Thanks!! Thank you for your input, James! Yes, I think I will stick with the yoke.
  13. Also, I assume it would still be necessary to purchase items such as a Saitek TPM, maybe radio panels and a trim wheel? I currently have the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and the Pro Flight Rudders. Should I upgrade to the Cessna? :/ Lots of money...
  14. Bert, thank you very much for your input and information Now that I think about it, I agree with you and should spend the money on real lessons and just fly with the 172 on my computer. I would definitely get some good scenery, is there anything for New Jersey? I would be flying out of Princeton Airport 39N. I haven't been in the cockpit of the C172 I will be training in but I have been in one before. Once I get into the cockpit, I can know what GPS equipment to expect and other things of the sort. Thank you again!
  15. Hello everyone, I posted a topic on mycockpit.org because I would like to build a C172 home cockpit based on FSX, and the A2A C-172. I am a teenager starting flying lessons soon and would like to practice at home. The simulator would be based on the C172 but not exact. I'm probably going to base it off of Saitek panels because I have a low budget. Here's the post on mycockpit : http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/showthread.php?t=28342&p=151468 Help would be much appreciated, thank you to all!
  16. Hello everyone. Recently, I saw frooglesim's video about a guy in Italy making handles for the saitek pro flight throttle quadrant. His website is here : flightsimpm.com I like the look of them and they look incredible. I live in the US, so shipping and price is extremely expensive as it comes out to be around $140 for the 737 pro levers. I decided to take this project on myself, so I will continually update this thread of my progress. I will probably be able to get the speedbrakes, throttles and flaps done. For the reverse thrust, that may be hard so I do not know if I will be able to do it - if I do I will also update the post on the tutorial/pictures. In the future, I hope all of you find this useful. Currently, I have the throttle handles made by cutting a wooden round stick. For the support things, I will use Manette's throttle design. Thank you, Wesley
  17. Hi, My current set up consists of a Saitek Yoke, Pro Flight Rudder Pedals and 2x throttle quadrants. I am looking to purchase another piece of hardware, probably Saitek but I don't exactly know what to get. I fly commercial airliners, mainly PMDG 737NGX and Quality Wings 757, and I fly for a virtual airline on VATSIM. Thank you. Wes
  18. I tried that and it still didn't work, oh well. I sent a support ticket to Saitek for another one and they will be sending it shortly - thank you for your help though
  19. Thanks for the help guys. I got it to work, thanks!
  20. Thanks! I don't have uiautomationcore.dll in my main fsx folder, do you mean uninstall it from somewhere else? Yes, on start up - the NGX is my default aircraft.
  21. Yes, I have FSUIPC registered version installed.
  22. Hello, My fsx crashes sometimes on startup - here is the error : Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: PMDG_737NGX.DLL, version: 1.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4f5162a3 Exception code: 0xc0000005 I do not have uiautomationcore.dll installed anywhere, should I install it? I use a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke, Throttle Quadrants and Rudder Pedals. I just installed the yoke/throttle today with the saitek drivers, and right after, fsx started crashing on start up with the NGX dll file. Any clues to what happened? Thanks in advance!
