  1. The 4k man Rob made this nice benchmark that says all http://www.avsim.com/topic/499499-titan-x-pascal-50-fps-increase-over-titan-x-in-p3d-v34/
  2. What? Jim you cant be serious The current benchmarks between the 980 ti and the 1080 are an average of 20% increased performance for the 1080 and 50% for the titanx x pascal regarding the 980 ti, the rumors sate that 1080 ti is going to be between both but more near the titan x... of course to remove the overkill factor, for higher resolutions, which is the case in VR
  3. Exactly what drove me to buy aerofly, those same reviews claiming a good performance, but was not my experience, a lot of jittering that was only dissipated in low options, one think as to be said, this was before valve released the asynchronous reprojection option for steam VR, and this function was the big secret for the success of flyinside and makes all the difference, because is impossible to maintain 90fps with any graphics in the market with those resolutions in any flight simulator. I cant claim now that is not better, because i refunded the game.
  4. Bu i want a Titan X, they are so beautifull Im kidding!!! yes im going to wait for the 1080ti also, as for the CPU, i already knew that AMD is going to release some good things that are going to shake the market, at least we hope that. But my i7 4790k performs like a beast, no complaints here, unless it creates some kind of botlleneck with the future 1080ti, is going to stay here spitting fire with a lot of water to cool it down
  5. I had that same excitement until I fired it in the Vive, its only playable in low settings, and like that almost no auto gen, just flat poor textures. P3d or X-plane perform way better with higher settings with flyiniside and with all the goods things that we want in a world simulator, for me was a dissapointment in VR.
  6. Thank you again Jim. Believe me I need more gpu, I play in VR of course more cpu would be a plus also, but I think my 4790k can handle it for now. I guess im going to wait for the 1080ti also, since going from the 980ti for a 1080 now would be a waste of money. Happy new year to you 2;)
  7. Thank you Jim. But i already had checked amazon, its unavailable in almost all amazon sites except the spanish one, but the price is ridiculous, more than 1600€!
  8. I cant buy it where i live(Portugal) which is frustrating! And why!? First Nvidia doenst have a portuguese "sub" site, they have all the neighbors, spain, france, itlaly... but no Portugal, so no shipping to the european champions countryl!!! Second, all the european stores that i found that are selling the X pascal are doing it in "bundles", which is inside a new computer, and i dont need a new computer, i just want the dam x pascal alone ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Anyone as an idea for me please? maybe theres a european store that sells it and i dindt find it. Thank you
  9. Sorry for the late answer. thank you for the shots, looks goood Um abraço
  10. I know that, and i have it for XP10 i tought you had tested already in XP11 without any extra content! Thank you
  11. jcomm i assume you are from my country if you are enjoying LPPT can you shoot some pic from there please, just to see how LPPT looks like in XP11 vanilla. Thank you i saw one of that sliding on the runnway in tacoma lol it's a bug
  12. My experience from this beta 11 in the beginning was woooooo, very nice... But after some time experiencing this is what i notice: - GSync doenst work with this demo, i notice flashes on both lights and textures with GSync on. - The night sky is ugly as hell, specially the moon glow that spreads a pixelazation circle all around it. - I notice some stutters with heavier aircrafts with medium graphic settings in the default airport. - Joystick calibration doenst work well if you have other USB controllers attached. - Clouds are the weakest point in all the environment, they look a little better than XP10 but still ages from other default clouds in the competition. Nevertheless the experience was positive, im waiting on flyinside XP11 support to decide if im going to buy this, the goal is VR off course
  13. Yesterday i played for some minutes one game that gives me light motion sickness (Onward a FPS), and i think my brain/eyes are starting to adapt, first time i play this one i was feeling dizziness almost in every movement, even being lighter than the one i feel in simulators like P3D, it was a constant feeling, yesterday i only felt in some movements, which is nice, i think im on the right track. As for the guys that have doubts regarding if they are going to have MS with VR... i was almost certain that i was prone to motion sickness in VR, im those kind of persons that can't read a SMS in a moving car without being queasy... but im so glad that i bought the VIVE, forget the things you read, the videos on youtube, you have to try for yourself to feel the amazing experience that VR gives you...even for persons that don't like gaming, they are going to love, my wife for example is always asking me when can she play again, which is a pain lol, i have to give her at least 30 minutes every day to play with the VIVE... we can talk about the resolution, yes its not the best, not comparable to what you see in a monitor, but forget that, the level of immersion makes you forget that almost instantly. Im going to be very sad if i can't pass this motion sickness thing completely to enjoy P3D for example, but even so, if you ask me if im going to regret for the 900€ that i spent, i would say NOT AT ALL. Stop reading, just buy it
  14. Thank you guys, i already read a lot about VR motion sickness and all the info matches what you are telling me, im trying to go slowly, eating properly, using ginger(it helps i can confirm that), and play short periods in games that are prone to MS. I was expecting to read other experiences of MS from other simmers, but im seeing that im the only one here
  15. Skywolf thank you very much for your post, as you can imagine as i notice i had this problem i researched a lot on this matter, but you added new info that makes sense to me. I wear reading glasses for the computer and also for the Vive, and i have the same lenses for 4 years now, i think i need new ones since my vision is not that clear anymore, i have an eye doc appointment tomorrow and im going to talk about this problem also. As for my IPD, i made the measurement in a specialist so that is correct i think, although i dont fell any difference if i change the distance in the Vive. Cheers
  16. So i lost my mind and purchased the Vive 2 weeks ago, from the beginning i was crushed about the awesome experience that VR give's you, forget all the "immersion" that you fell playing in a monitor, it's not even comparable, the feeling of being there really exists. Of course one of the main reasons that bought me to buy the Vive where the simulators which i love, but unfortunately soon i notice that im very sensitive to motion sickness, nothing new to me, since i always was a guy that get car sickness easily...Anything that as movement on VR and im not moving gives me dizziness... and in a few minutes a feeling of being drunk and ready to throw up my guts. First time i fired up P3D in VR and saw me inside the cockpit the reaction was woooooooooo what a huge feeling, now you can really feel the size of things, the size of your airplane, the notion of altitude and the height of your plane to the ground... its really a great feeling. The problem starts when i got my wheels from te ground, the climbs, the descents and specially the banks give me those dizziness that drives me to motion sickness :( this of course is really disappointing for me, i'm felling like a child that as new toy but can't play. The point of my thread is to ear other simmers that already tried flightsim in VR and what where there feelings regarding motion sickness. Thank you
  17. Unfortunately i have to agree with your review, i dint had high expectations about Flight School but this was way more disappointing that i would expected. I really cant understand a company like Dovetails ok, the aim was to attract new players to flightsim, but they have to expect that the first ones that would buy FS where long time flight simmers, tired of bugged games and years of tweaking and inventations trying to extract every FPS of the old timer FSX and all there "childs"...they are the owners of FSX steam edition right 3rd Dovetails game that i own and 3rd disappointment, not gonna happend the 4th time
  18. Thank you beerwolfe, going to put that also on the list.
  19. Hello Guys, Im opening this thread here although is not flight sim directly related, but the problem i have also affects both P3D and X-Plane. I don't know if this is is the right place to put this, i ask moderators to move, if it's not. I recently upgraded my Card from a GTX 970 to a 980Ti and i started to have problems with some games, i got microstutters like small freezes from time to time that causes a little FPS drop of 4/5 FPS's, enough to ruin the game immersion. From my intensive testing, this is only happening in open world games, example: Euro Truck Simulator 2, Arma 3, Robocraft, Spintires, etc. Other games like Insurgency, Chivalry, CS, etc run well, even benchmarks like 3D Mark run without problems and with good scores. My Specs: i7 4970k Asus Z97-E Cooler master seidon v2 MSI GTX 980 TI 16 GB GSkill 2400Mhz (4 dimms) SSD Crucial MX100 500GB Sata (operating System) SSD Crucial MX200 500GB M.2 2 HDD 1TB and 2TB (no games installed here) Corsair RM850x What tried so far in terms of software and iron without success: Clean Install of all Operating Systems, Windows 7, 8.1, 10 (all x64). Several NVIDiA drivers, tried 3/4 different always using DDU. No AV's, no Firewalls installed, MalwareBytes shows a clean computer. CristalDisk shows all healthy Disk's. MemTest86 shows no errors on rAM. All kinds of combinations with the dimm's, removing ram, adding ram, changing slots, etc. Overclok, underclok, im going to smash this computer clock, default setting's in both CPU and GPU (temps are always good for both) Bios update. System drivers update. Windows update. Tried both PCI-e Slots on mobo. Removing all disk's except the one that as the operating system. Smear myself in oil and play naked. Im runnig out of ideas and getting a little desperated, need some fresh ideias and expertise. Thank you
  20. Awesome! I want one!!! Looking at the video preview image looks a real flight video! As for the MCE problem, just send them an email they are going to help you for sure!
  21. I had that already, and it was...Ezok. If you have it, check that!
  22. I had both, and i can vouch that nvidia is better for flight simming...and in average for other games also, with similar cards of course...except for dx12, but thats another discution
  23. You gonna need at least a gtx 980 ti for each monitor, if not you are going to struggle with poor performance, if you have the money for that you are going to feel that WOW, P3D performing well is amazing. My example..i had to upgrade from a 970 to a 980 ti to have stable performance on every type of scenery with a 3440x1440 resolution
