  1. https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/599100-my-gtn-750-is-not-working-anymore-resolved/ Just follow the recommended topic at the top of this topic.
  2. I'm sure you'll find a few Reality XP GTN in VR videos online. If not, I just took these 2 screenshots! You've posted in the RXP Flightsim forum about X-Plane, hence the confusion! (I've now moved the topic to the proper forum)
  3. Hi, This is peculiar indeed. - What location is this more specifically? - Is there any chance you could post side-by-side screenshots? - Did you by any chance enable a few GPS failures which are meant to alter the accuracy?
  4. Hi, Have you tried again since then? F1 is handling paypal transactions AFAIK!?
  5. All this (and more!) is explained in the official OpenXR Toolkit online documentation: https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/ You might want to read the various topics over there in order to get accustomed to all these details and make it a better experience!
  6. Since we first introduced FFR (Fixed Foveated Rendering), the community feedback has been great, and you've been asking for gaze tracking ever since, and today we're pleased to share this with you! If you've treat yourself with a Varjo Aero, you'll soon* be able to experience for the first time Foveated Rendering with Eye Tracking! *This is not going to be available right away - we still need a little time to polish it - but we already have pretty good results with it!
  7. For all these question it is best to start with the documentation and the FAQ online: https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/ You'll also find a link to the OXR-TK Discord Channels where you'll be able to exchange with other users and share your configuration settings and tips more easily!
  8. Hi, The Reality XP GTN should works fine in VR I guess, if not, I'll make sure to find out a way (SDK permitting). If this might be reassuring you, my support for VR can't be more explicit than this* 😃: Quickstart | OpenXR Toolkit (mbucchia.github.io) * I only fly in VR in X-Plane (except of course when flight testing the builds!)
  9. I have a feeling I might be understanding what you're insinuating in saying this but I might be entirely wrong as well. What is sure is that not only LR has always been informing their customers about the progress of their various simulators, and in a regular basis, but they have also been constantly informing the 3rd party developers community not only about their progress, but their directions in short, medium and longer terms, so that both Laminar Research and the 3rd parties can build up on the plan in a mutually beneficial way, unlike the other example I'm thinking is the prominent one you're insinuating. And more than this, see the rest of my comment below... I agree with you, and on top of that, their lead developer is also sharing on his personal blogs TONS of highly technical details about the things he is experimenting and implementing in the X-Plane simulator and he has been doing this for ages: (edited I've forgotten to add the link to the blog) http://hacksoflife.blogspot.com/ @JLuis IMHO his blog is much more relevant information that a few YT videos where you would have to waste 90 to 120min of of your time (let alone greenhouse gaz emissions in doing so) only to find out there is either little substance in the end and most of it, the substantial matter, could have been written in a blog post and read in 5min. But my perception is subjective and biased because of being a 3rd party vendor and probably my generation (although I'm not that much old LOL)
  10. @alepro21 This is a very good question in fact and I admit I don't know whether P3D is using OpenXR or not... I feel embarrassed not knowing, but if P3D is using OpenXR (and not Steam OpenVR) then there is no particular reason this wouldn't work! Update: I don't believe P3D is using OpenXR at all, so most likely it won't do anything. Maybe they'll support this API for P3D6 because it is starting to get broader adoption. I also hope X-Plane 12 will support OpenXR too.
  11. And what about running X-Plane as a normal user? 22/03/05 14:27:11.377 03740 WARN ] GTN 750.1 process is running as-admin
  12. @Bachian Thank you for lending a hand! First, I'd suggest removing all of these entries (they are only useful when support asks you otherwise they can also interfere with normal operation): LogTrainer = 7 Then it looks like @Cadu Valle is running X-Plane "as admin" but there is no need for this, and actually running anything as admin changes the way Windows tells about some specific folders and registry paths to applications and could also lead to applications/plugins not working as expected just because it is like running as a different user, not just an elevated user. Last but not least, this configuration is made for both a 3D cockpit render and a popup window, the latter is hidden though when loading the aircraft. Should you make the RXP GTN window visible, is it displaying the GTN alright though?
  13. The only remaining explanation is that this aircraft would be over writing/recreating the ini file when it loads. It is not what we recommend 3rd parties to do, but some are doing this kind of thing anyway and we can't do much in this case. Otherwise there is another plugin or a script changing the "master device" setting externally via our datarefs/commands. Something you might try is to manually set MasterDevice = true in the ini file for the device you're using, then set the file to read-only manually, and see whether it sticks. If it doesn't, this means a plugin is changing the value at runtime (but since it is read-only it won't save to file this time).
  14. Hi, Can you please explain what does it mean "not working" more specifically?
  15. @Bilbosmeggins Thank you for your kind words! What you're seeing is typically what is happening if you select "CULL" for the outermost ring. What it does is that it simply tells FS2020 to not render any pixel there, and therefore, the remnants of the previous images are still showing because they are never cleared!
  16. I'd also suggest everyone read Virtuali's post here: If SimConnect is not the Future, what is? - MSFS DevSupport (flightsimulator.com)
  17. Hi, in case you've missed today's news: All the details and more here! https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/
  18. Hi, Have you tried reviewing the posts in this topic?
  19. Hi, please look at the recommend posts in this topic: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/605896-reality-xp-update-removed-airports-from-garmin-430530/
  20. Hi, There could be a few reasons for this: - Can you please cross-check the RealityXP.GTN.ini file in the aircraft folder is not read only? - Is there any RealityXP.GTN.defaults.ini file alongside in the same folder?
  21. Hi, Do you mean the window displays but nothing renders within it? Can you please post the content of the RXP log files? (see RXP user's manual for file/path)
  22. I'm sorry for the delay. I'm glad you've sorted out the CDI question!! As for the 3D panel, it seems complex at first but once you start getting into it, trying out the tutorial yourself on the B58, then changing a few settings and looking at the outcome in the panel, you'll quickly grasp the gist of it I'm sure. You might want to also review the Official Panel Mod topic for other aircraft you'd already have and see how it was done for these. This can be a very good starting point indeed.
  23. Hi, Do you mean - When you change the XPDR setting on the GTN it reverts back, or - When you change the XPDR setting it stays put, but it doesn't change in the simulator?
  24. @Milonas This is a particularly good case which I believe might be representative. It is very simple though: - The Reality XP GTN is offering the same level of feature* and benefit on all simulators from FS9 to the latest P3D5.3, this includes of course P3D4. - Swapping another GTN for the Reality XP Garmin GTN is very easy in fact. Instead of 1 click to change the configuration with the aircraft tool, it is about 3 clicks more to just select the Reality XP Panel Configuration Assistant live in the simulator, when you've already loaded the aircraft and ready to fly, then select the option to swap gauges, select a couple settings and "Accept". It reloads the aircraft automatically. - If you don't want to repeat this, although there is no reason at this stage to change the configuration back to something else but even if you do, the only affected file is the panel.cfg file. This is the only file which the aircraft included tool will make changes to and which would affect the RXP configuration. The other RXP specific files like RealityXP.GTN.ini won't be touched by the aircraft included tool. In other words, once you've configured the aircraft once, just make a backup copy of the panel.cfg file and restore it whenever you want to put back the RXP configuration. *only a few less on FS9 of course, and a few more specifically on P3D in 64bits.
  25. I understand it is confusing, but it is very simple in fact and it is all written here: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/582275-rxp-gtn-750650-and-gns-530430-for-fs2020/?do=findComment&comment=4554785 You might have missed this as well: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/582275-rxp-gtn-750650-and-gns-530430-for-fs2020/?do=findComment&comment=4636789 I also suggest everyone to read this too: Is there any hope for an individual new developer to get accepted as a "partner" for the Marketplace? - MSFS DevSupport (flightsimulator.com) Compare with the the last public report: February 17th, 2022 Development Update - Community / News and Announcements - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums In other words: - 26% 3rd parties approved in 18 months (234/900), 74% still waiting and some of them without any word at all from Microsoft (this topic). - 15% have released products in 18 months (132/900) - 11% of the approved vendors are still developing their 1st product since they have been approved. - Those approved are selling already 11.7 products on average each over the last 18 months ( (912+614) / 132 ) - In turn, those approved are already selling 1.5 product per months on average. - But those not approved but who have already built a product can't sell it on the market place though. - And those not approved don't have any access to direct technical support on the Discord channel. Now more specifically about Reality XP, the Garmin, and FS2020: - We don't have a-priori any intention to sell our Garmin products on the Market Place, or at least if we'd have, and if there is any licensing issue, I'd expect Microsoft to tell us before hand, not to stall our Market Place application nor simply ignoring us despite all the help and support I've shown to the game since its release, and the continuing support I'm providing now with my OpenXR Toolkit involvement. - Even if we'd been pushing our product to the Market Place, if we'd been approved already, MSFT can still veto any submission. - We do have many other products than the Garmin we'd like to sell, but we need Market Place application and support - And regardless of all the above, we've been successfully contributing to this industry for the last 20 years with award winning products and they just ignore completely the expertise and knowledge we're willing to share with them for YOUR benefit. Believe me, it it was just a matter of licensing issue, this would have been solved long time ago already...
