  1. Hey guys, I really enjoyed P2ATC in the past, and was thinking about going to V3. I currently use PE for West Coast but I'm looking for East Coast coverage for GA VFR and IFR. -Can you request your approach in-flight, or does it need to be selected at the start/file stage? -Can you depart VFR and pickup a clearance while airborne? -How well does it handle deviations, requests for "direct to" to cut corners, etc? Or are you stuck with the full route you filed, with no changes possible? -Is there any option to request or get issued unpublished holds? TIA
  2. I've tried most, and I really like onaire. I know many don't like the subscription model, but I disagree. It produces constant upgrades and keeps the developer sharp and receptive to community feedback. All this shows in onaire, and I've been with it almost since the beginning. Great for GA.
  3. I used P2ATC for years, and liked it, but switched over to Pilot Edge during my RL instrument training. Decided to try out BATC last week for some East Coast flying, and found it was really lacking in basic real world GA procedures. Something as simple as asking direct to a WP to cut a corner threw it for a loop. Documentation was thin and there's this bizarre focus on taxiing to gates and such. I'm looking forward to trying out an updated P2ATC as it's still the closest to RL other than PE that I've seen.
  4. The amp problem was a bug I pointed out during testing on the glass version, that they fixed right away. Could still be in the analog version, I'll let them know. Nice mod for the flaps position!
  5. The SWS RV8 is incredibly close to the real thing, both in systems and flight modeling. I am super impressed.
  6. It'll take some practice, just keep at it and don't get discouraged. It's not something that comes naturally for a lot of people. It's just a sim, nothing to lose if you screw up and practice is cheap!
  7. If Bijan is still updating his tree mod, that's news to me. Anyway, I'm not sure what this has to do with the ORBX mod at all.
  8. Yes, as well at the TDS and PMS 650.
  9. The RV14 is a little too "light" in feel. IRL In the air, the 14 and the 8 feel about the same.
  10. Ryan those paints absolutely kick a$$!
  11. Did you buy and use Orbx Trees HD to compare?
  12. Me too. You just open Accuseason and completely un-install the mods before you install the ORBX mod. There is an option in Accuseason to do this. If you don't, you might be looking at re-installing MSFS to fix it.
  13. Last night I first removed REX Accuseason, then installed the ORBX Tree HD. I like it, looks great. I was flying around central UT, USA.
  14. I can check later tonight and let you know.
  15. You guys know you can pre-download scenery for the areas you fly. Would this circumvent the whole issue for local flights? For me, the popup is more annoying than the actual problem.
  16. I don't understand the point of the Bandwidth Too Low pop-up. There's nothing you can do about it right that second anyway, so why have it at all? It's incredibly annoying in VR as it pops up right in your face.
  17. I did the flight model testing, and I can tell you these guys did a killer job on this thing. It flies very close to the real thing, and they spent a lot of time on small details. Even though I essentially got it for free as a tester, I will still buy it to support them,
  18. I had thought this was a bug from early on. Does heading sync now work? I know that on some aircraft, I am able to sync the bug by clicking on the virtual cockpit knob, but didn't know mapping this to a key or joystick button was possible?
  19. Someone much smarter than me needs to just dig into the UI and eliminate that popup. Would make for a very popular addon!
  20. It will fill 100% of the parking spots, slowing you to a crawl at larger airports.
  21. Since TDS added Navigraph support, I see no reason to use the PMS anymore. The TDS is using the real life Garmin trainers so it works exactly like the real thing.
  22. How well does this work with small GA aircraft? I'm not into the airliner thing at all, and never visit large airports. Right now with Live Traffic on in MSFS, I rarely see any GA, and at airports I see all kinds of weird stuff like F22s parked at small airports.
  23. I'm a real life RV8 owner, and a tester on the SWS RV8. These guys have done a stellar job. It flies and feels just like a real RV8. If you're a fan of RVs it's one you won't want to miss.
