June 16, 20241 yr Hi guys, PSXT, a real time live traffic generator, can now be used without a RealTraffic license subscription (thus completely free!), to populate the airports that you visit with static parked aircraft. The aircraft will be set at gates based on historic data from week 1, 2024, courtesy RealTraffic. PSXT parks static aircraft of the right airline, model and livery at the right gate at the right hour and day of the week, no empty airports! If you fill in your destination airport, the parking starts when the airport is in sight. You can also enter the gate number where you want to park, to prevent it is occupied when you arrive. June 16, 20241 yr That is great news. I seem to remember I suggested such a feature for only static aircraft by PSXT several years ago. Great you could finally implement it. I think that means that PSXT with only static aircraft can be used alongside FSHud to populate the gates and let FSHud take care of the active aircraft.
June 16, 20241 yr I have the paid version but curious how you would get the static aircraft using that? Some airports for are just too heavy on fps for me with both static and live. Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11
June 17, 20241 yr Thank you Kiek! It looks like the old static version that used to be available for FSX and P3Dv4 some years ago. Since I've never used PSXT, I don't know: are the aircraft positions taken from the airport files or directly from RealTraffic database (or whatever this is called)? In the paid version it is available by default, and the parking position data is from a more recent week. 9 hours ago, Flic1 said: Some airports for are just too heavy on fps for me with both static and live. You can fine tune it. There is a percentage you can set for static parked aircraft at each airport you visit. And for live aircraft there is a range to be set and there is a MaxLive parameter.

June 17, 20241 yr Interesting, but some questions for me: when I use it to fill my airports along with any AI traffic program, what does it result in? E.g. I use FSLTL without any static aircraft and a rather low amount of traffic, if the FSLTL plane arrives and is taxiing to the gate, does MSFS recognise the PSXT static plane as traffic or will it end up FSLTL planes parking on top of the static PSXT ones? If you want live traffic, you better use PSXT -full swing- with an RT license. PSXT live traffic and static parked aircrfat work together well. One could also fly on VATSIM or IVAO, because of the human pilots it is easier to prevent blocking aircraft at gates. Edited June 17, 20241 yr by kiek

Well, easy, just make a copy of your license and then delete the RealTraffic.lic file. Edited June 17, 20241 yr by kiek

Yes, that is what I was wondering but I will probably continue to just adjust the Live traffic number. I am finding lately that the Max Live number is greyed out and I cannot change it. I would like to keep it on about 25 at all times but it does seem to jump around to different numbers.
