It is the APP that they use for all platforms but it is only recently that it seems to be required for MSFS.

To be clear the XBOX app has been for a few months the app that MS uses for ALL game platforms. Think of it as XBOX console AND XBOX PC. CJ

If Pilot Plus sells to an American customer then the transaction will be zero rated for VAT. That is, they will pay no VAT. True for any sales outside the EU for certain. Within the EU is still so complicated that it hurts my brain. CJ

Surely it depends where in the world you buy it from as to what the VAT situation would be? Americans are used to seeing prices without VAT but still pay VAT at time of purchase. CJ

if you have the game pass base game version then you can just buy the upgrade from the market place but the latter will only work if you continue to subscribe to game pass. it is by far the cheapest option for deluxe.

I use a 60" LG Oled with my XBOX Series X. It is stunning. Had the screen for about 3 years and no sign of any burn in and used every day. My cousin came round the other day and left with the full intention of buying the same system to play MSFS she was so blown away by it. It did help, as it is our business, that it also had a state of the art surround sound hifi system too. CJ

If you look at the number of people with problems on this thread the number of very small - perhaps this highly detailed airport is stretching the capability of certain PCs. I am awaiting the release on Marketplace before I buy so I can use it on my XBOX.

Some people are just not so bright - the longer I live the more I realise this. Sadly they are also the ones that complain the most. I find the 'Ignore User' option on this forum most helpful. Must admit not much content is left. CJ

In the Marketplace on XBOX the default view is filtered to those items that are compatible. You de-tag a filter to show all items. There are currently a lot of compatible airports, a lot of single engine planes, the Bredok 737 and fighter jet. CJ

Suspect the exe is identical - just has slightly more code now. CJ

To take a very simple example. On my XBOX Series X if you go into the graphics settings then there is one option. Just ONE. It is to turn HDR on/off. That is it. On the PC version there are loads of options. However, the code might be identical. e.g. Frst bit of the graphics menu code says 'If Xbox go to Xbox page subroutine else carry on an run PC graphics subroutine. CJ

I am lucky in that game works perfectly for me on Xbox. I am looking forward now to trying to replicate a little of Where Eagles Dare with that Junkers. Should be fun in the Alps.

Bristol is now my local airport and have flown in/out of there prob twenty times mainly to Bergerac, France where we use to have a house but also Italy a few times. Will certainly buy once released. CJ

Also wrong. Some Marketplace planes available for PC are available for XBOX but by no means all. The FBW A320 is not available for XBOX for instance. In fact there are 38 available for PC and only 13 for XBOX. I have both platforms. CJ

I use the Thrustmaster Hotas One. wireless mouse/keyboard combo with both my series X Xbox and my gaming laptop. Both work perfectly and are excellent. The xbox is the better experience linked to 4k lg oled 60 inch screen. It is so smooth and the vast screen makes it so immersive. The deluxe edition ownership copied over perfectly from my pc version. The market place is more limited and nothing outside the market place but that does not bother me as what is available is more than I need. Stability is also rock solid. I also find it comforting that it is so easy for Asobo to reproduce issues if there are any and fix them as they have identical hardware to me. CJ

The Main Menu has the fully rendered hangar/plane behind it and it is that which loads the graphics card. CJ

One big thing the XBOX version gives is a very stable known platform. So if there are issues on the XBOX version then Asobo will instantly be able to recreate them and probably be able to solve/mitigate them. Whereas if a problem is reported on the PC version then there are just a massive amount of hardware/driver variations that could be causing the issue rather than the code and also very difficult for Asobo to reproduce as they don't have that exact hardware.
