I finally took the plunge and upgraded my system from the AMD 965 Black Edition to the new Ivy Bridge i7-3770K with some GSkill TridentX Ram (2666!!) and the Sabertooth MB w/Z77 chipset. I did a fresh format of my FSX SSD and my System SSD. I have not done any overclocking .... yet !!! I have just reinstalled FSX, and of course my first add-on was the NGX. I haven't done any FSX tweaks, and just for kicks, I loaded up the NGX at my home base. It loaded fast as hell, but the visuals were horrific. All I can say is I really must have had the other install really dialed in. I just realized the scope of the work ahead of me (and this is after two and a half days of building a new computer, etc.). The hardest part of all this is trying to decide which steps to do in what order. Wish me luck, I'll keep you posted. P.S. For Zach ... you were right ... AMD is Cr*p P.S.S. I am getting some pmdg.dll app crashes AFTER exiting. I guess that'll all come out in the wash. I have a lot of forum searching to do. ugh!

I've searched the forums for this but so far not found anything. Have PMDG produced any info or documentation explaining the structure of the .rte files used on the 737NGX, 747 and 777 series aircraft. I believe it was hinted at as far back as 2011........ http://forum.avsim.net/topic/325079-rte-file-format/ Cheers Dave

Have a new system, built using NickN's Bible. Installed all FSX systems and Windows (add-ons) IE Adobe etc. Fsx working perfectly along with Nvidia inspector. Completed last part of Nick's Bible (all the Windows mods). When opening Nvidia Inspector from Desk top Icon the Nvidia inspector screen comes on and does show temps, fan rpm etc working, but as soon as I click the profile box (crossed tools icon) a windows information box opens (red dot with white cross) comes on indicating an "unhandled exception has occurred in your application" continue, quite, etc. "the path's format is not supported." If I try to Re-Install Nvidia inspector from the compressed zip download I get: "Compressed(zipped) folders ERROR. Windows cannot complete the extraction, the destination file could not be found." I believe this has something to do with Nickn;s mods for the windows section, as everything worked OK up to that point. Hope this is the "right forum" if not I apologize and could someone please direct me to the correct place for help. Thanks
