Hi all, I've been experiencing quite a lot of shimmering in FSX. Over the last weeks I have been searching high and low for solutions and I've probably covered almost topic. Until now I have been able to reduce it somewhat but there was a moment I just accepted it as part of FSX-life ;-) Until yesterday, when I noticed something strange.... When I use TrackIR5 the shimmering is there, but when I pan around with the mouse (using the middle mouse button), the shimmering is practically gone! It's really odd but true! I've only been able to find one topic on this but there wasn't much info there. Anyone experiencing the same thing? Or better, know a solution? PMDG 747-400 will not track on course
AIr Force Two posted a topic in PMDG 747-400 (Legacy Versions)
Hi everyone. I have been flying the Queen [400] since 2012. A few weeks ago, my independent FSX hard drive crashed and I had to replace it. {I operate Win7 64bit}. Of course as soon as I loaded up the new hard drive, Gosh what a task that was...I immediately installed the Queen. Here is my problem. After setting up the FMC and departing, the aircraft will not track on course. It slip shadows the magenta line and eventually does arrive at the right airport, but it will not line up with the extended rwy centerline and land. I have screen shots to show, but can't figure out how to load them in this forum. Sorry. I also searched the forums for answers but can't find any posts. I hope my description of the problem hits a nerve with someone that can shed some light on what is happening. Thanks for your help in advance everyone. In the mean time, I will continue to drudge away into the problem......been at it now for about 30 hours or so. Take care. S.A. Hallsson -
Hello. I am currently in the process of planning a flight from EGKK to KMCO in PFPX. However, I noticed that the airlines use a NAT that is pretty far south. I'm currently looking at NAT J. This track starts in the middle of the Atlantic. An airliner that recently flew this route actually used the first two waypoints of NAT F before deviating to the south to cross via NAT J. This is shown in the image below. How is a clearance obtained from ATC to fly these half NATs? Is it normal to simply hop straight to the middle of the Atlantic and then join a NAT? I am many well confused.

Hi Keven and team, Thanks for a great piece of software that seems to get significantly better on each rolling release :) Not sure if this is in the known issues list, but I'm trying out the track aircraft on static view. This does work OK when viewing "live", a plane is centred on screen, but when I start using the *Work in Progress* replay function, the camera is locked to the position of the aircraft when the view was created e.g. Camera at road outside RWY2, LSGK. Created the camera by going to predefined runway view, then creating a new camera out of that (to enable advanced feature > Track aircraft). Aircraft was parked on Runway 2 at the time, and camera snapped to follow. Live tracking the approach, the camera works fine, camera moves with the aircraft (admittedly, assume this - the camera moves, but there's a hill between the camera and the plane coming from SKP approach!) If I then replay, via the replay UI the camera stays at its fixed view, i.e. looking out over RWY2 where the parked aircraft was originally set up. Cannot rotate camera, fine to zoom, move up/down). I get that the app itself is still beta, and the replay function is WIP - however, thought it mention worthy as this doesn't seem like expected behaviour? Thanks, Leo
