  1. Hello, I would like to ask the community to see if there's any experienced programmers who specializes in Microsoft's Visual Studio. There was a 32-bit add-on for FSX and P3D v3 called PDF Kneeboard and it's such a must have tool for those who fly IFR/tubeliners. With the recent release of the 64-bit P3D v4, this add-on no longer works. It's basically a dll file. The source code is readily open and available for anyone who wishes to modify or add to it. So I was wondering if there's anyone here who may be interested in making this work with P3D v4. The source files are located here: https://github.com/nmeier/fscode/tree/master/pdfkneeboard Since I know nothing about programming, this is no task for me. I've already contacted the author and asked for permission to do so and he said it would be no problem, since he has no time to continue with this anymore, he's making it open source to anyone who wishes to do so. I'm not sure what it would take to make this 64bit compatible. Do you need to rewrite the code or just modify some parts, or simply just recompile it using a 64bit compiler?
  2. Hello friends, I'm curious what AI Plugins you are using. I've been using Radar Contact, which I love, except that it doesn't really do any ground control, and it doesn't have any actual Arrival or Departure routines. Is there a better one out there? -- DK
  3. After some heavy development effort I have completed version 2.0 of WebSimConnect Framework. It has two major changes, I replaced the rendering engine (it is not backward compatible with 1.x components of WSC) and developed X-Plane version for Mac OSX 32 and Mac OSX 64. The biggest challenge for me was X-Plane Mac support. I am a "Windows guy" for many years so I had to learn a lot in a short time. I have dusted off my old MacBook (which I have never liked much), upgraded to OSX Yosemite, installed all the tools, synchronised with my on-line code repository and started coding. First of all, I replaced some core functions with cross-platform code and that was the easy part, Then I had to dig into OSX Cocoa world and investigate a bit how X-Plane for Mac is built. It was quite a challenge, however I am glad that after weeks of ups and downs (oh yes there was a time I was frustrated as hell) I managed to integrate WebSimConnect with X-Plane OSX version. I hope you will like the results. Mac version comes also with simple HTTP server called WebSimConnectX. Few remarks on the future. The rendering engine version is fixed for all future 2.X versions.I will not replace is for at least 2 years. Every new minor version of the tool for the same major 2.X release (i.e. 2.1, 2.2. etc) will use the same engine and will be always backward compatible with the previous 2.X versions. As usual, the deployment package contains all binaries, SDK and samples. Please consult the "Installation Guide" on how to install and configure the tool. For Mac, apart from copy-paste method you need to run one script to let X-Plane know about the new framework. http://websimconnect.webs.com/download Cheers, Marcin HTML5 add-on framework for FSX/P3D/X-Plane www.websimconnect.webs.com
  4. Is it possible to revert to an earlier streamdeck plugin version? I updated from plugin com.lorbysi.aao.streamdeckplugin_20_02 to com.lorbysi.aao.streamdeckplugin_23_02 on StreamDeck version 6.3.0.18948 and AAO version 3.30 b43. All of the Multiguages, Slidergages, Textguages and knobs immediately went blank with the new plugin version. The code is still there but only a blank light gray button now displays. All was working perfectly prior to changing plugin versions. I'm using the Guenseli H145 StreamDeck XL and PLUS version 1.5 Profiles from Flightsim.to. The broken buttons are also occurring with other profiles using the aforementioned gauges.
  5. Have you guys heard of this? It should be out soon! Finally an all around AI plugin for X-Plane. Check it out here: http://www.classicjetsims.com/WorldTraffic/ Seems to me like the features for this plugin are simply amazing. You will be able to have AI sea and land traffic such as vehicles as well as airplanes. It uses .obj files instead of .acf files so frame rate issues shouldn't be much of a problem. I'm really excited for this plugin and thought I'd share with you guys on here if you haven't heard so already. This along with marginal's aircraft ground moving traffic AI for airports should bring airports completely to life and give a sense of reality when playing X-Plane.
