I suspect that many of these Issues will be "fixed" once users have the manulas and learn to do things properly.I read one statment that this plane does not work like the PIC767. This is not a 767. It operates differently.Users should be aware that this is a different plane and wait for the manulas before thay start saying the plane has bugs, etc.BTW. I was not a beta tester and have no affiliation to PMDG except as a customer.RegardsRussell Jourdain (NZL007/ZK-RHJ)

Apart from the FPS problems, I have a problem with the FMC.Whatever I try to enter in the POS INIT fields I get : NOT IN DATABASE.I am a PIC user, so the database IS present, and is correctly installed.Trying to follow the short FMC tutorial in the documentation, the flight refered to (PMDG_FMC) does not exist.I have reinstalled, but the same problem exists. Are there two download versions???Steve Mhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg2.53Ghz P4 | 512 MB SDRAM | Geforce 4 MX400 64MB | 80GB HDD | WinXP Pro | DX9

OK, I am sure you do. Give an example...We'll cross check figures. I have the original Boeing QRH, Chapter PI, Section 20, for B737-700/CFM56-7B24, category B brakes...Err what about that bet ? :-)Regards,Vangelis======================================== E. M. OK fixed the database problem.my fs2k2 is located at c:fs2002. By copying the fmcwp folder to c:program filesmicrosoft gamesfs2002 etc etc it now works. HOWEVER, when I try to load a flightplan, fs crashes out to the desktop with zero RAM available.... I'm beginning to think I may have wasted my hard earned dosh....Steve Mhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg2.53Ghz P4 | 512 MB SDRAM | Geforce 4 MX400 64MB | 80GB HDD | WinXP Pro | DX9

Steve:How do you load a flight plan on this bird? I can't seem to find the right LSK/function combination.ThxBill

>Did you plan any hold in advance?>if so, that's your problem.>When a hold is planned there is appearantly no more ETA data>after the hold so fuel calculations to destination will not be>correct(e.g. infinite time required to fly to destination =>>infinite fuel required to get there = insufficient fuel.)>CheersNo Lenny I didn't have any or add any holds in my flightplan. In fact I hadn't changed the flightplan at all the message just popped up on the fmc and when I checked the progress page except for fuel onboard everything else was zeros. I had no such problem with 2 other flights that I did, both just over 300 miles in length. But thanks.William

This is a fantastic plane! But is there an audio control panel? I switch FS default ATC to Comm 2 so I can use Radar Contact, I haven't located it and Marker switch, nav ident, etc. They appear in the V/C.Dave HChief Operating OfficerEagle Express Virtual Airlineswww.EagleExpressVA.comhttp://www.eagleexpressva.com/images/davidban.gif

Did you try pushing the
R
on the panel switcher ;)?[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith[/h5][h6]The Next Great one? Randy,What kind of format do you enter the information in at the FMC IRS POS entry ?It won't accept the same format that PIC does, even though the empty boxes seem to indicate it "eats the same bread" :).For example, coordinates like N 60, 19 deg 2; E 24, 58 deg 0Is entered in PIC as "N6019.2E02458.0" (without the quotation marks of course). The only way I could enter the IRS pos was to use the REF AIRPORT entry and then copy the position from there to IRS position. Obviously, as the database didn't know my gate, the position is off.Tero

Tero, here is is: 1) use magic:Init your last pos with POS INIT LSK L1 :*This will PUT the current correct postion ;)* which you can then select into the scratchpand etc.2) or enter your position as in the follwoing exampleN45440E005454That is- 1 char for lat N / S- 2 for lat degs- 2 for lat minutes + 1 for decimal minutes- 1 char for lon E / W- 3 for lon degs- 2 for lon minutes + 1 for decimal minutes13 chars Thanks Anthony ;)[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Thanks Randy!Obviously, the only thing differing from the PIC example is that you don't use dots (periods) inbetween, so it would be N60192E024580 for the NG.Also, The "magic" is neat, will have to try that when I get home :D.It's things like these that make the manuals worth the wait! Not to mention all the "bugs" that are actually features LOL.Terops. This bird seriously needs the IRUs :)

Well that's my problem.... I can't! Every time I try the damn thing crashes.I am ASSUMING therefore that this facility has not yet been implemented and that one has to enter each waypoint individually as per the short tutorial that came in the docs.Question :IF it is possible to load a FP, is the FMC fs2k2 .pln compatible, or PIC .rte compatible? (I cannot get either to work)Steve Mhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg2.53Ghz P4 | 512 MB SDRAM | Geforce 4 MX400 64MB | 80GB HDD | WinXP Pro | DX9

Steve, FS build 2.0 will issue an update very soon that will be compaitble. For now you can input your flight plan and then save it though ;)[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith[/h5][h6]The Next Great one? Hello there again...found another *bug?*, sorry forgot to get a pic. When loaded the 2D only cabin to enjoy a decent FPS flight (now I get 15-20fps and I'm very happy)...I was on a nightfall flight SKBQ-MPTO @ FL260; came into controlled airspace and the ATC instructed the descent passed my T/D, when I reset the MCP altitud the A/P took my plane for a rollercoaster ride and went into a steep dive of about 8000fpm!!! until it reached the descent path I suppose 'cause then it pulled back from the dive to the normal 1.8k-2kfpm descent.....That's #1, #2 is that I saw while on descent speed was going up and up and up (this is after that dive thing was under control), way over the one set on the MCP, so I disconnected the A/T, pulled back throtle to IDLE position and was trying to extend the spoilers to gain some speed reduction. In the Throtle view when I tried using the key combo for spoilers the handle wouldn't move properly (downward to the DECEL position). Then assuming I didn't press the correct key combo used the mouse to pull the handle to the position I wanted it to be and there I could se the correct movement of the handle + a strange wind sound or something. There must be some animation problem with night textures of the throtle view since pressing the key combo wouldn't mode that handle properly and the mouse would. Can someone try to recreate this event?NOTE: this was on the night flight, don't remember seeing that behavior on my day time practices. Where are Copa liveries? :)Gustavo B.Copa Virtual Airlineshttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/20929.jpg
