July 5, 200322 yr I'm having an issue no one else seems to have reported...exactly.I had the fire bottle discharge problem before I even got the engines started. Once the bottles had discharged, I noted the following behaviour: - couldn't get the left engine started at all - was able to start the right engine, but with some difficulty since it seems that the fuel cutoff switches reversed their logic i.e. when the switches are on cutoff, the 'spar valve closed' lights extinguished and I could start the right engine. If I moved the switch to the idle position, the spar valve lights illuminate and the engine shuts down.I'm wondering if this is related to the same problem that causes the fire bottles to discharge....Regards,Chris
July 5, 200322 yr There's only one page on the FMC with navaids if you want to select a waypoint. Example: Yesterday I flew from from Vienna to Amsterdam and I was landing on runway 27. I wanted to select WP ndb, a locator on the extended centerline for runway 27, but the right WP locator didn't show up. The FMC showed me a few other WP's but not the one near EHAM and I couldn't select a second page on the FMC. I also tried CH, OA and NV a few other locators nearby Schiphol but with the same result.regards,Jasper :-wavehttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
July 5, 200322 yr Add to all of this--> a) A/C draws fuel from Left and Right fuel tanks all the way down to 0# in each no matter what you do. I think that this is why I fell out of the sky (see my thread on ....Call the NSTB!). I can't hardly get any draw from the center tank. :( As previously mentioned ---> After landing, if you want to fill your tanks, you can't change the left tank at all.....
July 5, 200322 yr IZYou are correct, these are very good points, however,in point#2 I have a feeling the problem was not fuel calculation but waypoint location. Did you check that one of the waypoints is not (erroneusly) situated a few thousend miles from where you expected it to be?//Mike
July 5, 200322 yr Fuel pump switches don't seem to have any effect: in order to fight a slight imbalance I closed the crossfeed valve and shut off both right tank pumps - but still both engines received fuel from both tanks.-------------------MeatWaterProfessional Audio 4 Entertainmentwww.meatwater.com -------------------- Nick Schreger MeatWater
July 6, 200322 yr >>Fuel pump switches don't seem to have any effect: in order to fight a slight imbalance I closed the crossfeed valve and shut off both right tank pumps - but still both engines received fuel from both tanks.I second that...pump switches don't have any effect...Your aircraft Load Manager gives a MTOW of 124000 lbs for 737-600 and 133000 lbs for the 737-700...I think it should be about 143500 lbs and 154500 lbs...FritzCheers... July 6, 200322 yr I have one issue i'd like to be checked...Although the base product is excpeted, and has been advertised to be a complete system, in the panel area there are various things missing. I clarify here I am not talking about the upper overhead, IRS panel etc which you had beforehand (I think) mentioned would be implemented on the -800/-900 add-on along with other features (TCAS etc), but from what I have noticed sofar, the pedestal panel is lesser than default aircraft in some areas -certainly not looking like the real one though-, the throttles move very strangely, the lights switches are nowhere to be found, the CVR can't even be tested because it's essentially a dead panel, and what about the clock?? Overall it is beautiful, but if you go outside the main panel, it somewhat gives the appearance of a neglected area. I am yet to RTFM, but I wouldn't want to see my fears coming true, or worse them being implemented in the add-on, which would certainly not be fair. Question: Are there any plans for this area on your patch?Cheers, :-)
July 6, 200322 yr Hydraulic systemBefore engines have been startedAnd the Electric Pump switches for systems A and B are in the ON position and the LOW PRESSURE lights extinguish, the Hyrdraulic pressure should incrsease to normal on the indicator on the EICASAlso in the real 737NG is it possible to start the engines without turning on the fuel pumps, in the PMDG 737 its possibleAlex
July 6, 200322 yr Eazy2K,After you enter the OAT and flap setting for takeoff, just click the LSKs near the V speeds and they will come upGary HayesSrA US Air Force Gary Hayes My Youtube No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
July 6, 200322 yr A couple more issues:FS A/P Off control does not disconnect the PMDG A/P. For anyone using a PFC flight control system, this means we cannot toggle the A/P off with the yoke button (or the "Z" key)Activation of electric trim with A/P engaged does not disconnect the A/P as it should. With BARO selected, "Minimums" call is still coming at selected *radar* altitude vice barometric altitude. e.g. at KMEM, with BARO 460 selected for the MDA at 459 ft MSL on the ILS Rwy 9, I get a "minimums" call passing ~800 ft MSL, which is 460 ft AGL istead of 460 ft MSL.Need right-click fast slew on minimums selector knob...in BARO mode when landing at a high altitude field (e.g. KABQ) it takes about 500 clicks to set a BARO MDA of ~5300 ft. I would desire to be able to hold down mouse button and see fast-slew mode after a few seconds, as well as a 100 ft increment with the right mouse button. We really need key mapping badly...without it, this panel is useless to the hardware-based home cockpit builder, and hobbled to a lesser extent for those with programmable flight control input devices such as the PFC, Thrustmaster, and CH systems.RegardsBob Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
July 7, 200322 yr I'm not about to read this whole thread, so if they're on here already, forgive me.1. I keep losing my airspeed indication in flight at high altitudes (above 10000) -- both on the PFD and the backup airspeed indicator. My probe heats are both on. One time I did ice up, even though probe heats were on, and throwing on the wing and engine anti-ice seemed to fix it (?). In the situation I'm talking about here, though, all the anti-ice on the plane doesn't fix it. Usually descending thru about 11000 the airspeed comes back on. It's happened on the last few flight I've run.2. Incidentally, the backup airspeed and PFD airspeed don't agree.3. APP light on MCP is inop with panel lights on.... all for now...Greghttp://members.rogers.com/gmoffatt/images/ERJ_CRT.jpg
July 7, 200322 yr 2 minor issues:1) I set the decision height to 0 on the ground before takeoff. At random intervals, the PFD suddenly shows 328 as the decision height. If I try to increase the decision height, the value immediately changes to 10 (i.e. it really was still 0, but the display showed 328).2) Occasionally the autopilot speed setting displays an erroneous character before the speed setting (usually 'A' e.g. 'A290'). Often the extra character flashes on and off.Chris
July 7, 200322 yr Well,I'm back home again, and I see that this thread has grown to almost unbelievable in size.I can also see that a patch is announced. I just hope that you guys at PMDG have the faith, energy and motivation to go through every bug that is listed here. There are many items here, but they all need to be addressed. I wish you don't get discouraged, but do make the patch that will blow us all away :).Tero PPL(A)
