I've had VNAV disconnect a few times and after switching it back on had a 9500fpm climb! Also at night the APP light doesn't work.

Hi Charly,Another way to avoid this is to activate the flt plan and then edit on the legs page. Do an edit then activate (not multiple edits and then activate).George

"Handling : The 737 is one of the most docile and easy planes to fly. If you found it difficult when using other "models" too bad for other "models" --- probably not designed by a professional aerodynamicist but by an FS educated amateur. The 757 is an entirely different beast."he's 100% rightthey even say the Boeing 737 is a Cessna with 2 jet engines attached...

Mike,Sampled a large body of time-to-turn data as a function of weight/heading difference/speed. These data are used by a turn anticipation algorithm. I think sometimes FS beats the "system", since we collect air and nav data through FSUIPC, with noise, delay etc. (press pause and see what happens to the PFD speed tape, wierd eh ?). I don't think they have to rely on FS/FSUIPC in the real world -:) But you do have dynamic turn anticipation in the model NG as opposed to err... turning at fixed distance from target (say 3 NM exactly each time ?).Fair is fair,Vangelis======================================= E. And even if it was set to 10 in LNAV mode it would not matter...VangelisE. M. VaosPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.com

Hi PMDG team, well, it may already been adressed... But anyway...The Z button fuction of connecting/disconnecting AP by my CH YOKE doesnt work anymore only with the PMDG B737TNG as well as fuel cutoff switches I am used to work by my CH-YOKE doesnd to anything anymore. Why not and will that be patched? Why is there no smoke effect of the engines? No dynamic smoke and contrails effects are to be seen while at groudn taxiing and in the air flying, that is a tad disapointing.Ah, changing the tnak selector to 3 instead of 1 doesnt do any good. I got a inballance of fuel: right was soon half way eaten and left tank was almost full....The PMDG Loader software is a joke compared to PSS or DF and is almost nothing compared to ACLoader4. Sorry but even a Fuelplaner together with a good working Loader cannot be found within what I installed.Regards...

Hi all -PMDG - great work on the B737! Extremely impressive!I have a question about opening cargo/service doors. shift-E works fine for the the front door...and usually hitting 2,3 or 4 after that would open cargo or service doors (on other FS aircraft). Also, the obvious shift-T or shift-F. Can't seem to get it to work. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!Chris [email protected]

Hello ALL. Here's my 2cents,1) Is there AIBridge Capability? If so how to enable TA/RA from Radio is the option but turned it on and nothing seems to show at the ND, something been done wrong?2) How to Enable DIRECT to waypoints once airborne, I can't help remembering the nifty button on the -400's FMC model. For instance, I was airborne earlier on a flight and was told to fly direct XXXX waypoint #3 on list, obviously I wasn't able to delete the current waypoint I was flyin to so I had to turn off LNAV and fly manually... Any ideas? Thanks to the DEVs at PMDG for this great aircraft as always, things get rough on every great development startup. We'll get to the other side in no time, I see there's a lot of support here.Gustavo.Copa Virtual Airlines

To add to what I said about FS crashing when I try to load a 737 with a virtual cockpit here is a picture of the mod error on the particular gauge that seems to be causeing the problem.William

"FS2002 has a problem in that it only updates the OAT every 1 sec, which causes IAS to pulse every second when OAT is changing, for example in a climb or descent. Pete Dowson added an airspeed smoothing function to FSUIPC that averages airspeed over about the last 1.25 seconds to smooth out the pulsing. When you induce a large step function change in IAS (pressing pause?), it will take a few seconds for the effects of the averaging to play through. The only other option is to turn smoothing for external programs off in FSUIPC and watch the IAS "tick" annoyingly whenever climbing or descending. However, the dynamics of that smoothing are known and predictable--one should be able to incorporate those knowns into the turn anticipation I think.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V

I like it a lot, but a few (so far) minor issues:I tried revising the aircraft.cfg file to show 3 fuel tank selectors (per the FAQs thread) but I'm still getting really goofy fuel consumption out of the right tank only, doesn't matter that I have the fuel selector to "all". Plus I get the insufficient fuel FMS annunciation when I've still got lots and lots. How do you save and then load an FMS flight plan on this thing? Wish I could open the FMS before getting into FS2002 and work up a flight plan, save it, enter FS2k2, and go fly it (a la DF 737).Some stuttering noted in 2d cockpit mode, some airports worse than others. I can live with it but would like it better if it didn't happen. Thanks for including the TOGA switch info in your FAQ's thread!Still learning various things about this airplane and panel so I don't know if some of the other "problems" I'm encountering are your problems or mine, so I'll keep playing for a while and reading this thread...This is good stuff guys, keep up the good work! I've been waiting for a 737NG for a long time, happy to see it is finally here. Thanks and cheersBillDell dimension 8200 P-4 2.0 gig XP home SP1 640 mb ram Radeon 9700 pro

Any ideas? On the LEGS page simply line select the waypoint you're told to go direct to into the top left spot - press EXEC and the plane will turn direct. All the newer Boeing aircraft FMCs work this way - much simpler than having a dedicated button for it etc!Ryan

Hi guys!Aside from what has been said above I found the following issues:In the FMC the opt/max cruise lvls are emty. The Vref for t/o and landing are off by 10-15 kts(too low).ToD calculation off by about 90 min(too late),although the distance to the ToD was correct. When selecting temp derate for t/o ,climb power is reduced as well. However a climb power reduction on a clb-1 or clb-2 climbout was not noticable.(at 120klbs passing fl250 only 700 f/min climbrate)With the APU off ,there is no fuel imbalance problem. But it does have the tendency to turn itself on in flight.Maybe the fire bottles discharging themselves wake it up. Have Fun ! James
