July 8, 200322 yr Commercial Member Gentlemen (and Ladies, of course!)-We've made LOTS of progress with the bug reports you are so kindly bringing our way! We wish to, first of all, THANK you for your patience. We've been working non-stop (16 to 18hr days in the past week on average), to get all the reports identified, your emails answered, and the bugs squashed.Frankly, your overwhelmingly warm response to our aircraft surprised us and left us inundated with all the purchase orders coming in and registration requests as well! We admit - we were a bit less than prepared to take down the HUGE demand we saw... We're flattered, but also REALLY exhausted by it! ;-)At this point, we're happy to report that we're pretty much up-to-date with the license key requests (except for today's new customers, of course, who will be handled today or tomorrow at the most). Also, we've identified a couple of the MAJOR bugs that have snuck through the release (Frame Rate Loss with the VC, Frame Rate Loss with very long flight plans) - these are already FIXED for the update. Several other bugs have been fixed, but I don't have the list in front of me right now - suffice it to say, we're LISTENING TO YOU ALL! :-)We're working REALLY hard towards all the other issues that you have come up with - we expect an update release, as previously mentioned, by the 19th of July or thereabouts (PLEASE don't hold us to that date - we're trying to fix as many big or little issues as possible, so if its a couple days later, well, it's for the best). We're trying to make this update an all-inclusive bugfix one, but this does NOT mean we're going to sit idle after that - if more are needed, more will be coming... (Hopefully, for smaller-range problems ;-) )---We feel really happy that we are where we are right now - everyone on our team has been giving 110% of their time to PMDG, but I just wanted to give you all a small update on where we are... We promise more updates as time goes by... :-)Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
July 8, 200322 yr Awesome thanks for keeping us all updated. Can't wait for the update to be released. I'm grateful for all the hard work you guys have done and continue to do!
July 8, 200322 yr This is great news to see such a fast, thorough response from you guys at PMDG! Again, great plane, and deifinitely worth waiting for patches. If I may make a suggestion that may limit duplicate requests: A running list of all the bugs that are fixed as you make progress on the update. It should save you having to respond to the same question over and over, and may even identify problems that you didn't notice.Dave HChief Operating OfficerEagle Express Virtual Airlineswww.EagleExpressVA.com
July 8, 200322 yr Thanks for the update,However SIDS and STARS are abit of an issue around Australia... YMML (Melbourne) Doesnt show up at all.. as on the DEP/ARR page.. No Runways, nor SIDS or STARS...Cheers,Sean
July 9, 200322 yr Hi Sean,if you go to www.navdata.at , they promised a PMDG navdata update with the next Airac cycle, due on the 10th July - only a couple more days :).Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

July 9, 200322 yr Commercial Member Is the manaul still coming anytime now or is that now part of the patch?Ryan Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
July 9, 200322 yr Will the update be incorporated into the normal product download at a future date, Lefteris? In which case, should potential purchasers with slow internet connections delay their initial (3 part) downloads, rather than download the existing product plus the update at a later date?Thanks.Cheers.Ian.
July 9, 200322 yr Commercial Member And I agree - a known/confirmed bug list would massively cut down on the number of repeat bug reports here, as well as give everyone an idea of what's being worked on...Ryan Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
July 9, 200322 yr Great job Lefteris,This plane really rocks. I have never flown anything quite like it is FS before! Thanks for all your hard work.Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.

July 9, 200322 yr You guys are doing great, I love the plane even in it's current "condition". A couple of posts suggested a list of problems that have been brought up and I agree with the concept if that is pratcical to produce without bringing the bug squashing to a halt. Having said that, and this issue hasn't been brought up, the "big" issue for me is the FMC/autopilots ability to track a flight plan in the presence of a cross wind. With only a 20 degree, 8 kt crosswind from the front left, the autopilot was unable to do a resonable job of tracking the flight plan. The closer to a waypoint the more exaggerated the "wing low and crab angle" and the AP would make a crazy attempt to cross the way point and then make a "hard" turn to the right for the next way point (in my flight plan that is). PIC 767 had a similiar issue when they first released it and they had to make the autopilot much more agressive in tracking the FP. By the way, the same flight plan/weather in the default 737 had no trouble dealing with the cross wind. Also the NG kept the upwind wing down all the time trying to compensate for the crosswind. Repeated trimming resulted in the same thing occuring, wing low into the wind. Selecting "clear all weather" completely cured the tracking/wing low condition. This plane is well on the way to becoming a "classic" with the likes of the PIC767, Flight1 DC9-3X and DF737s of the FS world.. Mike B.
