I know I'd rather wait for say build>100 to be released than getting say build 99 with a few bugs.As you know, bugfree software does not exist. So, even waiting for build 265 would not help to achieve your goal. But I do not want to spoil your party. As long as you speak for yourself, I don't mind...Personally I think this is a typical case of Masochistic Personality Disorder. (one of the symptoms: rejects opportunities for pleasure, or is reluctant to acknowledge enjoying himself or herself (despite having adequate social skills and the capacity for pleasure) :-) In the mean time wait and enjoy..Hans

Sounds like PMDG has a good process going to ensure current and future quality updates. I would expect nothing less from a virtual or real plane... and we know that for most of us this may be as close to the real thing as we get! Thanks to your team for the effort exerted during this pre-release period. I look forward to the finished update ;)Best Regards,Dave Branca

>For keeping us in the loop "That's managing client>expectations" :-)Ahh, "consultantese" :) I am all to familiar with that concept!Jeff

I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate an update like this. Thank you__Josh

Robert,One question. How do you make sure the rudder trim is centered before landing in an engine-out sit, without looking at the trim gauge ? As I have understood, and done in the sim, rudder trim needs to be taken away before landing, so all of the rudder is applied by the pilot flying, not trimmed off. Tero

Robert-Thanks for the reply. I, for one, would agree that the manual should be totally up to date with the release. So, if that means we wait, that's fine with me. I do appreciate that you will release it separately from the update as I'm unsure where in the pecking order I will be for the distribution e-mail. At least while I wait I can read up on all the details.Thanks-

Thanx very much for the reply and knowledge/experience Capt.Randazzo...Essono Fritz

G'day,I'll wait for SU2 to come out (the features look awesome), then I'll buy it. I'm already owner of a DF734 so this 737NG I can't afford to miss.thanks, A. Weijdemagreetings from the Netherlands

be patient! BE PATIENT! What do you think people have been doing? coming down and pickineting PMDG? We try but we get fobbed of with NOTAMS not worth the paper there written on. We get strung along with forum updates which are equally pointless. We had a similar NOTAM to this one last week with mentions of BETA tester and if there happy we will release, so this NOTAM does not exactly install me with confidence.I have to say, I'm appalled at the way you string your customers along. Personaly think it makes more sense to distribute frequent builds to the public. This way people are not waiting for ever and a day, they get some fixes to play with untill the next release and you guys get far superior BETA feedback than you can with a prescribed few.I just dont get your logic.Yeah, call me a winer if you feel the need. I only moan becasue I am excited about the darn thing, I want it, I want to play. I'm fedup with being strung along and treat like a mushroom. You tease us indefinatley with pointless posts that dont mean anything. Its no better than dangling a peice of meat in front of a hungry wolf and forever draggin it away from him. There is a law against that and an organisation setup to help the animals. Its call the RSPCA. Build 72 you say... And you get posts from peeps saying roll on, i'll wait till build 100 if I't means getting perfection. Well thay wont, Why? because by that time there will have been 20 post in here about issues your BETA team didnt pickup on, so you will still be building fixes and you will still be going around your never ending circle PMDG's methodology of never ending circles defies belief. Its cold and its cruel. I'm not that sad I constantly check my mail. I do howver read and regulalry check the site. Which is why i'm so dismayed at the superfluous NOTAM they have there. You guys should really think long and hard about how you manage the public, not just the loyals in here but eveybody. You should capitalise more on the opertunities made available to you. Dont destroy our confidence in you as a world leader in air simulation.Nigel

And as my>pappy use to say "this ain't your mama's airplane!>>>[h4]Best Wishes,>Randy J. Smith>http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/betaimg.jpgRandy,I'm glad you brought up the statement "Read the Manuals" I have one question that has haunted me from beta testing days with other software vendors. In an effort to emulate the real world product it is often the case that certain features simply can not be simulated. Therefore I ask only one simple question - What is not working like the manual might imply or as the real world counterpart does? It might be easier to answer that question first! This may very well reduce the frustration level of the user as he stumbles through the manual and hours of sim time attempting to make some feature function that was never setup in the first place. Now, before you answer some like - "Almost every feature is working like the real one", don't waste your breath! Give me a straight answer to a very simple question!Note: please don't take offense to the above as there is none implied! Thanks,Scott

Hi Bob,Thanks for the reply.I'm not damming PMDG. I have total respect for them and what thay are doing. I'm just trying to understand there logic. As far as the Sim goes, Its fantastic with an awfull lot of thought and effort gone into it. Its the only Plane I'm flying at the moment. I love it. But I now it is improved and there is a better build out there with most of the bugs ironed out. I read the posts, and see the screenies and I want it. can you blame me. I love it. I want to playyyy with it and I ache with anticipation. Please dont think I'm not happy with the product, far from it. Shes a bute. I'm just very frustrated. Its seems we have been waiting for ever. I'm only human after all. :-(RegardsNigel

Ahhh, almost forgot.Theres one more thing I wanted to add...MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO YOU AND THE PMDG TEAM.may you have plenty of booze and lots of prezzies.ho ho hoNigel

Hi Nigel, sorry, I wasn't implying you were damming us, it was a generalization...apologies if I gave that impression. The logic to Roberts post..in the NOTAM from a few days ago, he mentioned the BETA team testing and the method of getting the SU to all customers, if all was well then we would have released, as it was, all wasn't well, and if we had released like that, we would have been flamed, now this latest NOTAM is just letting our customers know what's going on and how distribution will work, we are just being honest and up front with you all, and if this RC passes the BETA teams testing, we will release. The development and Beta teams fully understand your frustration, and we want SU2 out asap, but if we release it *as is*, and there are flaws, again, we will be flamed, what we don't want, is to give our customers patch after fix after update, this benifits no one, and causes more work for the teams involved, and more frustration for our customers.I know we keep saying *soon* and it really will be soon, all we ask for, is a little more patience, then you will have the SU2 to enjoy.Merry crimbo to you too...LOLRegards,Bob Joneshttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg[email protected]http://www.solentairvirtual.co.uk/images/santa_1.gif

Tero-My experiences with this are...well...based on experience. ;-)I dont recall EVER looking down at the trim gauge during an exercise like that... It's a FEEL think... which MSFS isn't going to give you very readily..When I'm landing the airplane in the sim (or, unfortunately, RW..) there is absolutely no concern given the the trim index location.... it's whether or not the airplane is responding correctly..Some guys like to have the non flying pilot "zero the trim" when crossing the threshold- but I've never been a big fan of this- as I cannot tell exactly when he'll slam the trim to neutral and cause me to have to readjust ailerons, rudder and power to maintain the runway centerline....During engine out episodes- i generally instruct the non flying pilot that I will center the trim myself.... I've found that it rarely winds up centered- but that the airplane winds up balanced for the landing conditions.... (crosswind, thrust on remaining engine, natural rig of the airframe, etc...)So... it's more complicated than just slapping the gauge to 0....Just my experience.... others may vary....RSR
