I am still using FS2002 Pro simply because my system is getting old now. I have not bought and tried FS2004 on it yet, but will sometime in the future. I need to upgrade my PC first. My CPU is an old AMD 1,333 Athlon Thunderbird running PC 133 mem, get the picture?Oh well - previews look awesome!Philip.

hello,;I use both fs2004 and fs2002 but I had a weird problem with fs2004.My fs2004 menu bar disappear after some time, so I upgrade a lot of pc components but same problem (after 1h30 ). Offline, I don't have always this problem but online, at eachf flight with fs2004.With fs2002, no prob so I use fs2004 for short hop and fs2002 for medium and long range.I hope to have two pc soon(So only fs2004 will run on my xp1800, nforce2, 512 ddr 400, fx 5200 128 mo, 53.03 driver and w2000) and others programs will run on widefs pc(duron 800, geforce2 ti , 512 sdram) .When I launch all programs only 50-75 mo remain for free pc memory actually.Does the problem may come from that fact I don't use fs2004 cd4? I use simchjarts and had only one pc cd player.I have reinstall my pc 4 or 5 times and always the same results.I had the same problem with my brother pc in the past. So fs2002 737-800/900 and 747 will be great for me No one has the same problem? Thanks

Hello,I use both, mainly for the 737 fs9, but also fs2k2 for PIC. And also both plateform for beta test.Nevertheles, i have never used the 737 in fs2k2.But As many other fellows, I can't delete fs2k2, it is so much work time on it, that it would be like a suicide, and I have way enough space to hold all this.Cpt Cyrille de Lattrewww.corporateaviationservices.comAsus P4P800/P4 2.4 giga/1.5 giga DDR/Ati 9700 pro 128 meg

FS9 almost exclusively. But of course, no matter how nice the NG is, I still fly my first love....the 767PIC. Usually I use the PIC panel with a 757. SO I use FS2002 for that. Of course the PIC panel is enough eye candy (in terms of systems), so it cancels out the extra eye candy I get with FS9. When flying it, I concentrate totally on systems and ignore the scenery, etc. outside. When the PICV2 comes out I'll switch completely to FS2004.

Hi Randy, Out of curiosity, what resolution are you running at? I have been in the unfortunate situation that I had to down-grade to an older PC. At the current specs, I get roughly 18-19 fps, but at night time the frame rate is totally low (around 5-7).The specs are:P4 2.5 GHz512 Mb RAMGF4 MX420 64 Mb (I know it is a crap card)Thanks,BoazEKCH

FS2K2 - I spent a lot of time and money on addons and got it look they way I want for the areas in which I fly. When I wander outside those areas, I can live with the default scenery because I'm just passing through! FS is locked at 28FPS and everything works fine there. Based on the many problems people have reported with 2K4, it's seem ridiculous to run it in stripped down when my 2K2 runs well, plus I'm not in the market for a new PC just for 2K4. I'll bet there are a lot of people still using 2K2, a lot of my friends are. Keep up the good work and hopefully the 800/900 will retain compatibility with 2K2!Murrell2G Pentium1G RAMATI Radeon 9700 Pro

I recently re-installed fs2002. Basically, in fs2004 I can't run the amount of AI traffic I want, and also I have to turn down the ground textures as well. Plus my biggest problem with fs2004 has been the lack of true overcast conditions, especially from high altitudes. Fs2004 just can't generate that nice thick blanket of clouds that occur so often on a gloomy day. With fs2002, I can have my texture details at max, AI traffic set as high as the ATC can handle, and I get a constant 25 fps wherever I go. I haven't uninstalled fs2004 yet, but I am really considering staying with fs2002 for now. I have a very nice system, and I am still unhappy with the overall performance:P4 3 ghz1 gig or RAMATI 9800 Pro

I was VERY disapointed about the performance of FS2004!The clouds are simply UNFLYABLE!...Everything look nice in the skies of FS2004, but I have spent over 2 years of editing almost daily to complete my AFCAD's and install AI planes/plans and scenery, I have everything tweaked perfectly so I know what is wrong if something goes wrong...Sorry for sounding conservative, but I just can't see what FS2004 has to offer besides the nice sky effects? And about the taxi signs, I only fly to and from add on airports so I never have a problemo with that in FS2002...Sorry you guys, but it's going to take more than that to start 2 years of work all over again!I have bought FS2004 tho and want to install it again to see if performance is better now...But the water effects cannot run on my Geforce 2 card!Boaz...

Boaz, I run at 1280x1024. I see high twenties most of the time but it does get a bit lower at airfields but still not to the point of slide show ;) Ian, FS2002 is much better for the NG than 2004! I am not being sarcastic, it's just that most use FS2004 and well you know what that entails. I will be putting FS2002 back on just for PIC and better frame rates and smoother flight with the NG *IMO* but I am not the only one who believes this if you get my drift.[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Still use FS2002. Upgrading to P4 3Ghz HT system, will still use FS2002. It is just too frustrating to run todays add ons and get the performance you want with FS2004. pmdg with all sliders maxed and online with >25fps rocks!

Simple question???? I think not.I guess I'm one of the lucky one's. I run FS2002 exclusively on my laptop (cause it won't run FS2004) and I have limited disk space (20GB and it's meant to be for work!!!).I run both FS2004 and FS2002 on my PC (cause it's a beast;)) on seperate partitions. I won't uninstall FS2002 due to the amount of time and money I have spent on add-ons. I have 10.5GB on my laptop but 22.8GB on my PC for FS2002!I prefer to fly the NG and Beech in FS2004, but I still fly PIC767, PSS777/744 and the DF737 on FS2002 on the odd ocasion, when I feel like a change. The quicker you guys bring out the 744 and 777;) the better, but it will still be a while before FS2002 leaves my system. Here, here Ian.......I wish I was Bill Gates ;)

FS2004 ONLY! Time to upgrade folks.Hey, there are 2 people here still using Windows95, should we keep that going? As for the 767PIC, Why have they not made it 2004 Compliant? I've heard all kinds of excuses, oh it's too complicated, but how long has 2004 been out? Long enough to get the little bugs worked out to convert it. I was using the PMDG 737 from Day 1 when I bought FS2004.Don't give a sob story about performance. I'm running a Dual CPU PIII-1.0GHZ here and it runs just fine. Sure I have slower framerates than the norm, but it's no where near unflyable. Yes I hit W when taking off and landing for extra frames, but hey, I can accept that.I have FS98, 2000, 2002 and 2004, and when each new version comes out, I upgrade, we shouldn't be limited by a small few that don't. 2004 has been out long enough that most people should already be switched.Just my opinion, comments are my own. Constructive critisism welcome.
