June 26, 200421 yr Welcome back Robert...on another note, i just had my first experience in a Full Flight Simulator. Got to fly the Boeing 737-200Must say, those trimwheels in PMDG are NOT exagerrated :Dalso went in the A340 level D FFS... and all i can is whoa.. it's immense... Even the view itself makes you feel like your moving...Was wonderfull, and all of that for free ;-)My landing in the 737-200 was not the best but i think that was because it really takes a while to get used to the force needed to swing that yoke around and fight the airplane to the ground... :)i did a text book example of a non-stabilised approach but managed to recover anyway, and since it was a limited time sim i just put her down :DThe landing in the A340 on the other hand was a 'greaser'... though i also had a not-100%-stabilised approach in that one... i was still getting the feel of such a inertial moment you have to counter => very small inputs can yield large movements on a time base so the trick is to correct in time but not too much... otherwise you'll go waggly waggly.. :si had a grrrrrreat time today Greetz!!!
June 27, 200421 yr That's all very well and nice, but get back on with the 747!Just kidding, best of wishes to you and your wife Robert!Matthew Murray,[bR]AVSIM Online,Library Manager,[email protected]
