I, and several other people, would be grateful if you'd sent a couple of more shots from the VC and cabin. Thanks for posting. The 747 looks terrific. Dirk

Hi Ben,Off topic, but can you say how your card performs with real wx, AI traffic, etc? I am considering the X850 XT to replace my 9800 XT, which gets dragged down by real weather scenarios containing overcast cloud layers. Also, what is the max resolution of your card, please? Thanks,Frank

Hey, with ASV real weather and I fly on VATSIM only for the PMDG 737 i get a steady 30fps in the cockpit and 60 outside. I fly at a resolution of 1280x1024 and the max resolution is 1600x? but my monitor will only support 1280x1024 max.

Great, Ben! Thanks for the info.BR,Frank

Can any memeber of the beta team supply us with a few shots of the crew rest area? and also maybe ofthe cabin, like some other people wanted!:-)

Amazing overhead panel. I love it.I've got my fingers crossed that my laptop is going to be able to run the PMDG747 ok. I have a 3Gz P4, 512 ram (I'd love to upgrade), and the built in graphics has 32MB on it.I'm not a fan of scenery and all that, the only things I *need* are A.I and winds/weather, although I'm not fussed if the clouds look crap.I'm fully prepared to run at low resolutions to get this baby running. I'm much more into the simulation rather than the looks. If it were up to me I'd be ditching the virtual cabin and all that jazz :(neil

Ok, I'm happy, I got my screenies for the day. Need to get daily shots of the stuff you know, keeps the masses semi-sedated :)Etienne

HiAll these pictures look great!!! Well done Randy, you're performing a great service to all of us.Just a quick question about one of the above pictures - I may be being very stupid - but how can you get more than 100%N1. Surely 100% is completely full power. Also, many people have been mentioning IRS. What is it?!!!!Thanks in advance for any help on these matersDavid

Thanks for those shots Randy, the panels looks awesome.Actually I will be buying the 744 more for its panels and systems than for the 3D model.Couple of questions though: on the exterior view, what I saw on the very first pics few monthes ago when the Queen was previewed, and which annoyed me by the time, is that the engines look way too big, compared to the rest of the fuselage.because I am working on a huge intl airport, I see those 744s all the day long taxiing. But well, I believe at this stage of beta, it's too late to correct.Has any other beta testers noticed that? The other question is, I dont really see the point to get 50 or 400fpswhen airborne: what really matter is the fps you get on the ground, and above all during take-off and final approach. How much fps do you get with the 744 on busy airports like KLAXwith 100% AI traffic? Just curious. If it's similar to what you get with the 737NGs, then it's all good. I even heard it was better than the NGs...Looking forward to that product anyway (except for the too big engines)

>Surely 100% is completely full power.Nope. On jet engines so called "red line" N1 may be a bit over 100%, for example 104%. It varies depending on the engine and what kind of "abuse" this engine can take and for how long. Jet engine can be operated above its rated thrust for some time. It is all complicated since it may dpend on outside temperatures.>>Also, many people have been mentioning IRS. What is it?!!!!Inertial Reference System. In short - inertial navigation.Michael J.

Yes, I noticed that too - the pictures look great!!Curious how you (PMDG) fixed the aligned numbers so quickly considering your previous statement on this and that you had decided to not use aligned numbers since that would have a bad effect on the FPS? Would be interesting to hear how you solved it :-)Cheers,

Not likely Michael. As they are controlled by the ECC.Cheers,

>Not likely Michael. As they are controlled by the ECC.>Well, watching the Virgin Atlantic 744 DVD you can see small temporal variations in N1. I am not making it up. And these guys definitely had their ECC on. ECC probably only guarantees stability within certain error range, a bit like autopilot which can only guarantee certain speed accuracy.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg

Takin another look, I have to say that PMDG have created one of the best looking panels I have ever seen :) TBH I was never impressed with the 737NG Panels...But these new panels are just AWESOME!
