May 26, 200719 yr Ron:I have exactly the same thing happen when I run the test on MCP Pro check. I don't know what Panel Backlight is supposed to do.What to do? Not much, at least, not right now. I mean, it DOES work fully in all phases of flight, the rotaries just need to be "nursed" a little with the PMDG jets so as not to screw up! Other than this, the PRO is breathtaking and I love it. I hope and feel modestly confident that a solution will be found.I just bought the brand new KIAD from Blueprint and am going to instal it and then fly the PMDG 747-400 into rwy 1L in a 30-knot crosswind using the PRO !Cheers,Jonathan Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
May 26, 200719 yr Commercial Member Gents-GoFlight is now looking into the matter. It seems like I've said this before, but this time, they promised that this has become a priority. Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
May 26, 200719 yr >Ron:>>To find out the firmware on your MCP PRO, simply run the PMDG>MCP pro check exe file and it will tell you instantly what>firmware version you have. May 26, 200719 yr Hello Bebob, when I press N1 and V/S all the LED's light up for a second, then dark, then lighting again. No number is displayed in the course window.Ron
May 26, 200719 yr Hey, Bebob:When I press N1+VS together, or one and then the other, and hold them both down together, I get absolutely no display of any sort anywhere on the PRO. I tried it with FS9 not running and with FS9 running. No display of any firmware data in the course window.Am I doing this test incorrectly?JonathanP.S. What IS that v.1.01 reading in the MCP Pro Check window if it is not the firmware? May 28, 200719 yr hello guys i have push N1 and V/S together for 2 seconde and after light fleckring the left course display A17 for information bye...
May 30, 200719 yr Doyle,It would be nice to get a posting here regarding the solution. I think GF is upgrading all A16 and A17 firmware on some of the first MCP Pro's to A18, however, it would be nice to know if this fixes the problem before shipping UPS/FedEx (i.e., $20 overnight) back to GF. I would guess that most of us have already spent an additional $50 to $75 dollars buying USB Hubs, Y cables for USB power management, ect.. I have yet to here from anyone on a real fix. It would be nice to get feedback in this forum from end users of the MCP Pro that had the firmware upgrade.Rick

May 30, 200719 yr Me to, I have to ship the MCP from Europe to Goflight. Hope to have an answer soon.Blackbeast has A17 and with that, the solution with the y-cable seems to work. I might have A16 (it doesn't even show when pressing N1 and V/S) and that old thing does not even work with the y-cable!Ron
June 2, 200719 yr HMMMM so guy's should I hold off buying the PDMG driver for the moment?Regards,Mountie
June 2, 200719 yr So if there are all these problems mate why is the interface still being sold? Is this problem rare or is it on all units? Would it not be fair to warn prospective buyers on the PDMG or GoFlight sites that this is a problem with (X) % of the interfaces sold? With the amount that these interfaces are being sold for there must be a huge amount of money available for getting it working properly?regards prospectiver purchaser
June 2, 200719 yr Can I ask why you offer this MCP interface for free and charge so much for the MCP PRO might be a little bit more fair to charge for all and lower the price a bit on us Go Flight owners
