February 10, 200818 yr That looks very good! Please let us know as soon as it's available. Speaking of which, could you please make it available on the PMDG site as an installer file so we don't have to copy and paste anything? Matthew Bellette
February 10, 200818 yr Author No worries, all of the liveries I do are only available thru the official PMDG installer ;-) http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer

February 11, 200818 yr Thank you for doing a top quality version of this livery! I see it fly over my house here in Sydney quite often. Looks gorgeous.:-) Graeme Butler
February 11, 200818 yr Wow!Looks great, you're doing an awesome job!Best RegardsMax (Bern, LSZB)http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg
February 11, 200818 yr Not complaining, but I thought that airplane was a -400 with winglets and RR engines. Scott Kendall S Mann Still Telling Pilots Where To Go!!
February 11, 200818 yr The original Wunala Dreaming was the RR 747-400 (back in 1994 I think). The current one flying is not RR (maybe GE engines?) and they (the engines) are not painted red.http://www.qantas.com.au/info/about/company/flyingArthttp://taxiwayalpha.blogspot.com/2007/08/w...a-dreaming.html Graeme Butler
February 11, 200818 yr I thought I remembered seeing the airplane at LAX a few years ago with RR engines. I had just gotten off a flight from Auckland so I was pretty tired :-)Scott Kendall S Mann Still Telling Pilots Where To Go!!
February 12, 200818 yr Author The current livery is on VH-OEJ, a GE engined 747-400 which first appeared on August, 2003.http://www.airliners.net/photo/Qantas/Boei...8-ER/1321057/L/ http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
February 13, 200818 yr Interestingly, I think Qantas must have decided against painting the GE engines this time around on the -400ER as they did with the previous bird (VH-OJB), because of parts needing to be interchanged between aircraft.Scenes like these became common after a while ;)http://www.airliners.net/photo/Qantas/Boei...-438/0327895/M/http://www.airliners.net/photo/Qantas/Boei...-438/0053807/M/Subin.
February 14, 200818 yr Pete, I know the Aussie's are a bit radical but,That screams ;) No, I am afraid it's not my 'cup-of-tea', sorry. Dave Taylor
February 18, 200818 yr A nice tin (or 2) of white paint would make all the difference. Qantas must have had a brain explosion when they sanctioned that paint job. Looks like it got left too close to the perimeter fence and the graffiti artists? got to it. The only thing missing is the tag!!!Aybe Aussie and Qantas dislikerhttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpg Andy Brockbank
February 18, 200818 yr Going by your signature, Aybe, it's hardly suprising you're going to bad-mouth Qantas about this paint job. I drive an airport shuttle bus to and from Sydney Airport and have not once heard a negative comment when driving past that particular Qantas aircraft. In fact, I only ever hear praise/awe along with camera shutters clicking.Regards, Matthew Bellette
February 19, 200818 yr "That screams. No, I am afraid it's not my 'cup-of-tea', sorry."lol... Dave just set back European-Aboriginal relations by 50 years. Sounds like someone else needs to apologise to the Aboriginal community :(http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/prime-...2760342960.html(another case of white folks trying to tell native (Aboriginal) Australians what is in good taste/what is right for them?) :(Sorry, Dave... but that's the way Aboriginal people have been painting for 10's of thousands of years. Long before Constable, Gainsborough et al picked up a paintbrush ;)Cheers.Q>
