Steve,I'm absolutely baffled if that's really a totally clean install. Could you set up the exact flight you're using and mail the pertinent files to me at [email protected] ? I just want to verify that you haven't somehow found something that slipped by us that's location specific etc...Here's the info on how to do it:http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/PMDG_...to_someone_elseThat's for FS9 but it's basically the same thing in FSX.

You know what they say...When in Canada do like the French.. nah, that

No probs RyanIf it was any cleaner Ryan it would disappear...lol.. I even prune the registry before install to ensure nothing is in there that shouldn't be.You just know it will end up being something totally simple & stupid don't you ...:(I at first thought that you might not of been aware of the problem due to the locations you were using for testing (Minimum Magnetic/True Variance) as when I fly the aircraft near EGll the difference is minor? Common sense then grabbed me and said don't be silly... Due to this reasoning I am going through different set-up options etc just to see what effect it has on the flight. To date nothing changes the "map" except for the FMC purge and manual IRS direction setting. If I new more about the relationship between the files it would help as well I spose....I have one question please mate, what in windows can affect these FMC/Map? auto-pilot settings?? Could there be a problem with Windows XP Pro/home Media Edition that we don't know about??... Just a thought but as stated, I don't know what files FSX/PMDG are addressing in Windows re the FMC etc.I will copy and send the files you asked for within the hour. Thanks againSteve

Steve,I've got the 744 running on both XP Pro 32 bit and Vista Home Premium 64 bit and my ND looks absolutely normal. XP MCE is just XP Pro with Media Center, shouldn't have any effect at all.Can you confirm you're also seeing this in the FS9 version too?

RyanI am only running FSX. I Think that was someone else saying they had a prob the same with FS9 earlier in the forum.I have double checked the system for any other files but nothing jumps out at me.I have been stuffin around with different flights and missions on FSX and all appears ok. But as soon as I go into the 74X the prob is still there. The only thing I haven't re-checked is the SimmConnect file if it has loaded the up-dated one, but I don't think that will have an impact, unsure but I will check it anyway.Steve

yeah, ive had the problem with FS9, both the 747 and 737 have the same problem, i havent tried the 747X (and at this rate wont be)...i got several months of enjoyment out of both aircraft, so much that they were all i would fly. the last time either of them worked was just before thanksgiving with the 0711 AIRAC file. I never got the 0712 AIRAC as i was out of town and away from my flight sim computer...when i got back i upgraded to the 0801 AIRAC right off the bat, and then went to fly and the problem was there. i then tried rolling back to an older AIRAC i had and got the same issue still. im not sure if the AIRAC is related, but its the only thing that changed between working aircraft and non-working aircraftboth my 737 and 747 have remained grounded ever since...

This happened to me with 757/777 PSS products but with PMDG doesn't.Strange...Alvaro

Hi again,as u can see from my erlier posts, I had the same problem. But after I installed AIRAC0804-cycle, it vanished mysteriously. Now, the queen is right on the track again. I have to admit I did not try this with 0803-cycle. But I did some testrides the other day, and no matter where in the world I tried it, it worked. A longhaul over the pacific also passed without any troubles. So if u did not try it again after cycle 0801/0802, u maybe should try it now, u may be as lucky as I was.Best regardsKai aka OneDownOne2Go

Thanks for that but unfortunately 0804 has no affect on the problem.I tend to agree with PMDG and I don't think the cycle files could have this affect, but, then there's your case. Makes it all the more confusing...lol (I'm wondering if you have any automated up-date programs running in the background or if you have loaded or unloaded any other software between the time you knew it was faulty and when you noticed it came good etc)?If you could let me know this (if you can remember) it could help also. Thanks & will keep lookingSteve
