MD-11 Landing and taxi lights

Featured Replies

Hi!I'm really enjoying MD-11. The best add-on I've ever seen. Congratulations to all PMDG team.I don't know if this is happening just with my config but both taxi lights and landing lights are not bright enough to allow a safe taxi.In fact they do not illuminate quite anything, which is very disappointing if we consider the high quality of all systems of the aircraft.Any ideas? Running FSX+SP1+SP2 under XP SP3.RegardsSchmid

hi,are you using x-graphics or maybe some other light replacement texture? i found that with the md-11 the runway turnoff lights worked but not the landing or taxi lights when i installed the x-graphics textures for those. cheers,-andy crosby

Can someone email me their spotlight.bmp. I've tried everything and still can't get the landing lights to work.Does the spotlight.bmp also control cabin lighting as well? At night there is no light coming from the cabin windows and no the movie is not playing. :)Martin Buzzell

You have to use your FSX original spotlight.bmp file, which has 42Kb. I've tested a few free add-ons and one of them has changed this file with another one with 22Kb.Please check if you still have this original file, at a backup folder or at FSX install CD.If you don't find at all, please let me know.RegardsSchmid

If you have XGraphics installed and let it create a initial_backup of default FSX files (hopefully before an add-on changed them) you can copy back the original spotlight.bmp (May 12, 2006 - 42.7KB) file from here:Windows Vista:C:\Users\$USERNAME\AppData\Local\HiFi\XGraphics\backups\initial_backup\textureWindows XP:C:\Documents and Settings\$USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\HiFi\XGraphics\backups\initial_backup\textureRegards,
