December 30, 200421 yr Thanks Mark an Laurent for the replies.OK I understand now about the buttons and the disconnect bar/ arm switch.Me and my new monster machine are ready for the release...:9
December 30, 200421 yr Great news on the VC. Hopefully that means you wont need to use the 2D cockpit at all? Regards Howard H D Isaacs
December 30, 200421 yr No sure. With the computer performances we can get at now, 2D panels will always be smoother than a realistic and fully functional VC in FS2004. Personnally, I prefer to swap 2D-3D views in function of the phase of flight.
December 31, 200421 yr I'm dying to get this to see all the new options/features, however, I'm curious about one thing, what does 2 VHF + 2 HF (tunable on UCT stations) mean? In the sim we just have the 2 comm for voice, but what will the HF do? Simulate an HF signal? As an amatuer radio and scanner user, I can't figure that statement out. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
December 31, 200421 yr Yeah... I'm curious about that VHF-HF thing too.I was also wondering if APU burns fuel...? Best regards, Fritz ESSONO
December 31, 200421 yr "what does 2 VHF + 2 HF (tunable on UCT stations) mean?"As I understand it, the VHF panels are tuned as you would normally tune them to enable things like MSFS ATC and ATIS. HF, however, is not associated with anything in MSFS... and for now, at least, the LDS1 HF can't be plugged into a proper HF tuner (most internet live HF reception involves some kind of ongoing payment which would present an unnecessary expense to most LDS1 users).Mostly just HF static is modelled. However, on 5, 10, 15, etc MHz, you can hear the (recorded) tones of the real atomic clock (UTC). No times are given, however (just too time consuming to programme). At the moment, it's just a novelty to add that extra bit of realism/atmosphere to the LDS1 cockpit ;-)Hope this helps.Cheers.Ian.
December 31, 200421 yr Hi!Just another question: does the transponder have a stby/active (mode c) switch and an ident button, which would work with the upcoming squawkbox 3 software for online flying? (I've heard about transponder gauges in other addon aircraft with that feature)>I was also wondering if APU burns fuel...?I'm wondering about this, tooSo long, Joerg
January 2, 200521 yr Nice smiley, and have you heard its pretty rude to write with caps on all the time?Really annoying! Behave
January 3, 200521 yr Wow ! Brilliant post ... yet again*:-* If you look in this same forum you'll find that Wade aswered that question a couple of days ago :"There is no 2D landing view, but there is a mini panel view for landing." This hopefully answers the question.I look forward to reading your reply concerning Ian's question aboutwhy the Hangman. I assume that you will be answering it ...right ?
January 5, 200521 yr Hi, Could you tell if it's going to offer the choice to have TCAS info on the excellent Lee's IVSI gauge? Thanks
January 5, 200521 yr Hi, I think you'll find an answer here :http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=28126&page=2Hope it helps
January 6, 200521 yr I hope we will have option for 2D only (NO VC) with cockpit side views as VC serve no purpose in precision flight simulation for me.Jean-ClaudeCYQB
