December 13, 200322 yr Hi,I bought just a month ago wxRE for use with FS2004.Do you think there will be some special upgrade-price for my kind of user?Grz. Bo320
December 13, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Emile I know we have at least one beta tester doing just that! Its like any other window, doesn't really UNDOCK but it is fully movable across to another monitor... Just like any window in Windows :)Perhaps some beta testers care to comment more on this functionality?-Damian Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 13, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Hi,This is a completely new product, with a whole new set of costs involved to provide it. Mainly a private server system that isn't cheap. With that said, I do plan on offering a discount to wxRE users, but will not reveal any more information until release time :)Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies

December 13, 200322 yr Hi,Will it run on a 2nd computer over WideFS ?Also I purchased both ActiveSky and Weather Centre, hopefully there will be some form of discount for such loyalty. :-)
December 14, 200322 yr Hi Paul,I am currently testing AS2004 and ActiveRadar on a second monitor with WideFS. Sofar so good but tests are still going on.Michael
December 14, 200322 yr Really looking forward to it. I just hope it effectively smooths the weather transitions in FS2004....I would pay full price just based on eliminating the outrageous wind shears I am currently getting, without any of the other features like the radar, flight planning, etc. Keeping my fingers crossed.Interesting that Chris Willis' high performance clouds are recommended. I just had to remove them from my texture folder today because I started getting CTD's every time AS1.92 would load the weather. I thought it was Active Sky but it was in fact the cloud textures being loaded when the weather was set. Also wondered if it was a seasonal texture or landclass problem. Since I removed the cloud files I haven't had anymore. Would be interested if anyone else has had this experience.regards,
December 14, 200322 yr Chris,I, too, had to remove them due to CTD's. For some reason FS2004 doesn't like them. I reverted back to slightly larger, 32-bit textures without a noticeable FPS drop. Regards,Jure
December 14, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Guys,Thanks for the info... The recommendation was made based on beta testers feedback, no problems with CTD noted... that is strange. I will hold off on the recommendation temporarily though until this is figured out. Any more info is appreciated!-Damian Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 15, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi, "I just had to remove them from my texture folder today because I started getting CTD's `Read the Doc included, to prevent any problems with active sky or clouds or fs sky world 2004, next time read always doc if you have trouble. If you have crash when fs2004 is loading the weather and you use dxt3 clouds, make sure you render to texture is enabled in your fs2004 graphics display to prevent this crash. If you don't want to enable render to texture:-use the clouds from the fps and fix v2, you will not have any trouble.-use the 32 bits clouds version included in the highest performance clouds v2 files. It was explaned in the readme. When fs sky world 2004 will be released , you won`t have problems since the clouds will in 32 bits only. ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
December 15, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member There you go guys, Thanks Chris!Recommendation re-instated...Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004betateam.jpg Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 15, 200322 yr I wonder, could the radar display have a border around it to make it look like a gauge. Something like the old Flightmax. I think it looks more 'professional' and crisper.Eytan
