April 24, 200818 yr Hi Mark,Seeing that we started the archived weather data in January of 2007, this would be the case. We don't have the resources to go back any farther than that. I know even ASV6 archived weather doesn't go back that far. In 2003 Damian was just getting started in FS2002! So the error message is correct!!Thanks!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
April 24, 200818 yr Hi Emile,Make sure you are using Real Time on the ASX main screen and not Sim Time. Also you cannot use an archived date prior to Jan 2007.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
April 25, 200818 yr Hi,I seem to be having a similar problem. Since the beta patch it seems ASX is fighting with Vatsim about which weather to use. The clouds are changing every few seconds. I will go from no clouds at all for about 10 seconds to having clouds for 10 seconds and back again. When I disconnect ASX and use Vatsim only weather there is no problem at all. This seems new since the beta patch.
April 25, 200818 yr Hi,Flight plan processed in ASX?Are you directly at an airport?Could this be the FSX cloud flashing issue?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
April 26, 200818 yr G'day,Chasing 737s that had just taken off in my little two seater and cannot experience any wake turbulence effects. I boosted it to max but still nothing.I have tried being in the air at varying heights but always lower than the jet, I have also tried on the ground sitting right behind a jet about to take off though I don't know if there are any ground effects in FSX?I am using Simconnect though weather depiction works. Is this just me, SP3 or wider!? I did a search but no one else seems to reporting an issue.Regards, Steven.
April 26, 200818 yr I got it to work. The only way I can seem to experience the effect is to be on final and have a large aircraft, also on final, overtake me. Not much chance of salvaging that at 5 feet of the ground :-)Steven.

It doesn't seem to happen at the departure or destination airports, only enroute. I don't think it is an FSX flashing issue because it only happens when ASX is active. Also I noticed the barometric pressure is often changing every few seconds too.ASX SP3 BetaFSXVista 324gb ramnvidia 8800GTSintel duo 2.4ghz

I adjusted the refresh rate to every 300 seconds....it was set to 15 seconds, this seems to have solved it. COntinuing to test. :)
April 27, 200818 yr Weather options Off for FSInn, correct?Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
April 28, 200818 yr >Weather options Off for FSInn, correct?>>Jim>>http://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpg>http://www.hifisim.com/Yes, for some reason FS Inn reset itself to having weather on and refreshing every 15 seconds, thats what was causing all the problems. No problems after I set refresh rate to 300 seconds and turned off FS Inn weather. Thanks for the quick replies.
April 29, 200818 yr Author Commercial Member Emile,If you continue getting this problem, please let me know what your online/offline mode is (if offline which date/hour), and which time zone you are in? Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
April 29, 200818 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Steven,I would suggest testing it out with an extreme situtation, like a C172 behind a 747. You need to be within the path, which is fairly small, and does sink (around 300fpm if I recall correctly) and decay over about 2-3 minutes. If you're close behind the other aircraft you need to be at its altitude and directly in the small path. The wake effect trigger will be shown in the log showing which intensity level (based on decay and weight difference) is being applied. The effect cannot be recognized when you are on the ground.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
