March 19, 200818 yr Well I followed some other advice on this thread regarding turning off ASX's 'Wind Smoothing' and together with installing FSUIPC 4.6 seems to sorted out the problem. It would appear that a combination of FSX, ASX and PMDG are all 'fighting' over control of FSUIPC.I'm not sure if the problem exists using default aircraft with wind smoothing selected. Perhaps the official release of SP3 should either have the wind smoothing disabled as default (as its controlled by FSUIPC) or a note placed in the 'changes' readme notifying users of a problem linked to PMDG or perhaps other payware aircraft.Chris Ibbotson
March 24, 200818 yr Hallo Guys,I've installed this new beta release and I'm now eperiencing 3 new issues:1) Clouds redrawing every about 20secs (with reduction in FPS when this appens). VERY ANNOYING2) Weather Deciption is very slow: before I used to have "Decitpion Complete" message few secs after having started FSX, now it takes minutes!3) Sometimes when I "play" with FSX (adjusting settings) and everytime I close ASX, my FSX freezes. Never appened before...I have ASX running on a networked PC. I have also registered version of latest FSUIPC which solved greatly the wind shift problem...CiaoNick

March 29, 200818 yr How can I remove this beta?Since Ive loaded it, I am getting stutters. Not show stoppers but enough that I want to do whatever it takes to get rid of them. Can I prove it or can say 100% that the beta is without a doubt the souce. No.I am also getting a wierd acceleration when slowing down after landing.I will be on the brakes and slowing down when its like I hit a sheet of ice. The plane feels like it either speeds up or the brakes fail. Its kind of hard to explain.I am also still getting those jerks where the plane gets thrown around from time to time. Not turb, but as if I ran into a tornado. At any rate, How do I go back to the previous version?XP,SP2 and most every addon there is.

April 5, 200818 yr Hi All:I finally got my computer together and after reading through several wind related posts, I still have this issue as presented in this video:http://www.simtube.com/view_video.php?view...7bb6b2e6d570d46For those unfamiliar, please look at the ND (middle EFIS screen) in the upper left corner at the winds readout. You can clearly see what itwas that I am talking about as well as see the airspeed and N1 of the engines struggling to keep up with the wind differences. Im using current weather. I have all wind smoothing options off in ASX and am using the latest registered FSUIPC version 4.26, in which the wind and baro/pressure smoothing options are selected. It seems that the winds cant make up their minds as to where they want to go. Check it out and let me know what anyone has for a solution, as all suggestions are greatly appreciated. April 11, 200818 yr Has anyone had any problems using the Sim Time (historic) option with this beta? The sim date was set to the current date but the time was earlier in the day.ASX complained that the date was before Jan 2007 or something similar.Sorry for being so imprecise, I'll have to reinstall the beta and try again (I had uninstalled it as strange things were happening to planes on autopilot i.e. they were bobbing up and down and wouldn't stay on altitude hold). Thanks,David

April 13, 200818 yr Haven't tried SP3 yet. However I finally figured out that ASX has been causing me some occasional stutters. I switched to ASX once I started getting the stutters and there were like 10 wake vortex generations in the past ten seconds, then ten more a few seconds later. It has happen in too many locations to remember. I set wake turbulence strength to 0% to disable it, and that fixed it, no stutters, no problems. It was set at 90%, but that is strength, and has nothing to do with how often it generates vortex's.FSX SP2 Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Rev 2.0 Motherboard Intel Core 2 Duo 6300 (1.86 Ghz) CPU 2 GB PNY Dual Channel DDR3 333 MHZ Ram Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi (Drivers up to date) EVGA Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB Video Card (Drivers up to date) (1) Western Digital SATA Raptor 35 GB Hard Drive (Windows XP SP2, all updates) (2) Western Digital SATA Raptor 75 GB Hard Drive (3 GB FAT 32 Page file on one, 50 GB FSX on other)
April 14, 200818 yr Alright SP3 was causing a bunch of vortex generations too. I disabled the vortex generation to stop it, it did. I tried re-enabling it, it started doing it again. Funny thing is, when I originally started the flight with the option enabled, there were no problems. After I ALT+TAB to check ASX for anything weird, I think it started doing it. And the visibility graduation was causing cloud redraws like every 30 seconds too. Both features are very nice, what is the problem?19:56:53: Logging Initialized19:56:53: XEngine v1.0.0.332 Copyright
