August 2, 200817 yr Hi Folks! Here is a strange one! I just got back to flying into Santa Ana and noticed a gate suspended over the terminal(see right side of image). Does anyone know what caused this problem and how to fix it?Thanks!Airbushttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/191138.jpg Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
August 2, 200817 yr I see its addon scenery...Try deactivate then activate again to force FS reindex this scenery...If it not help, read scenery design (airport scenery) forum how to edit scenery to fix this
August 2, 200817 yr I have the same problem - I notice you are using Shez A's scenery, as am I. I disabled it, but the flying gate is still there. I haven't tried turning off other SoCal sceneries to see if it's from one of them. Fortunately, it isn't over a runway, so it doesn't interfere with anything.DJ
August 2, 200817 yr I had a similiar problem - a jetway out where a ship should have displayed as part of a fleet in the Pacific.Although I was never able to prove it, it appeared the ship and the jetway somehow ended up with the same GUID number. I know, the odds of that happening are astronomical, but that was the only explanation which made any sense to me.I had some luck changing the priority of the ship scenery but finally removed it entirely, just to be on the safe side.Try disabling sceneries - not necessarily close by - and perhaps you will find the one which has the errant jetway.A month or so I found a wayward windsock at my home airport in Dallas. After much searching (and disabling) it turned out to be a stray one in an airport enhancement for Houston - nearly 400 miles away.So bottom line............ stuff happens.
August 2, 200817 yr Absolutely true - the original Blueprint release of KMSP plonked an ILS tower into KSEA; apparently a scenery SDK tutorial remnant and since fixed. OTOH, I've got 208 other sceneries and as long as the thing isn't in the way it's doing just fine where it is... I think of it as a UFO manifestation.DJ
August 3, 200817 yr Before trying every scenery entry you might give LWMViewer a try.I use it for simialr issues by looking at what bgl files it says are active when connected to FS. More often than not an offending file might be located that way.Joe Lorenc Joe Lorenc
August 3, 200817 yr If I remember correctly, wasn't there a similar thread on this a few weeks ago?RickSearch this forum for KSNA. The title is "Two SOCAL Problems". I think its the eighth reply down from Shez, and he says to delete a certain file.Hope this helps!
August 3, 200817 yr Great memory! This is the reply in question:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=47581&page=Thanks
