FS2CREW MD11

Guys I would like some feedback on FS2Crew for the MD11 before I hit purchase. My setup is FS9 with 2 Fast machines networked, Running 3 screens, main screen is MD11F in VC other two screens are 2D panels undocked. Second machine running Squawkbox, activesky, TSR Autobrake, charts etc.Nearly all buttons are assigned through FSUIPC and running on GOFlight modules. I hear FS2CREW backs up and overwrites the key PMDG assignments that I set up. So anyone with roughly the same setup that could tell me if it intergrates smoothly, I only fly cargo so will I miss out on much? I know support is top notch and I poke my head into there forum every now and again, the developer seems like a nice guy so no worries there. So any unbiased mini reviews would help me a lot.CheersRob

I think it is okay if I tell you that Brian York/FSCrew was a member of the MD11 beta team... that should allieviate any fears you have of "integraton."

The MD-11 Edition fully supports cargo ops, which means you won't hear any references to passengers, attendants and such.-kyleBanner_FS2Crew_Team.png

FS2Crew does indeed backup and overwrite the PMDG MD-11 Keyboard Assignment file, so in your case it would be be a matter of re-adding any custom assignments you made. For reviews, I see no one has chimed in, but Avsim will be releasing a major review shortly. Also, FYI, you have a somewhat complex and non standard system. We do offer a 30 day money back guarantee if for whatever reason we can't get it to work on your setup.Hope the helps,

Actually, although I choose a freighter version of the MD11 and FScrew recognizes that it is a freighter, I still get certain attendants voices which I suppose really shouldn't be there. (Bryan, I'll post an inquiry about this in your support forum after I have checked out which exact phrases are being said - at least to me they seem a bit odd). Anyway, it's a wonderful program that add a lot of feeling to your experience. I always fly MD11 with FS2Crew except when I just want to take her upp to train landings and such.I won't write a mini review since I am lousy at that and English is not my native language. But in short, it really succeeds in creating the atmosphere of someone setting there besides you in the cockpit doing his stuff as the FO. The interface is quite slick and doesn't get in your way although you communicate with the program quite often with mouse clicks. These mouse clicks can also be complemented by assigning two keyboard buttons or two joystick (yoke) buttons to do the same work. However, for some reason neither the keyboard or yoke assignments works any longer for me (no response from them). Bryan doesn't really recommend using joystick assignments either but the option is there. I also have to check again if some conflict has suddenly emerged regarding the keyboard assignments. For me this program in a way adds feeling the way also AES from Aerosoft does. When you have landed everything doesn't come to an abrupt end - instead you see your aircraft greeted by marshalls and all kinds of maintenance vehicles (courtesy of AES) at the same time as your FO goes through all the checklists up until shutting down the aircraft. After that you sit there with the feeling that you actually have been part of something bigger! :DOh, and never again will you hear that tower station on Vatsim asking you to Pleeeease squawk charlie - FS2crew does that for you as part of the checklist!Rob,I also run FS9 on one computer with SB3 sometimes on another computer together with other programs, 8 Goflight modules and CP Flight MCP. I have the two key assigments programmed on the GFRP-48 via FSUIPC and although I can't get it to work at this point it's not because of Goflight since I there is no response even when I actually press the key on the keyboard. I'm sure it's related to my setup and not FS2Crew. You see which equipment I use by following this link http://www.kitte.ax/joomla/index.php?optio...=66〈=sv (in Swedish but you see the pictures...)

Rob, make sure you install the updates from the FS2Crew Downloads and Updates page for the PMDG MD-11. You should not be hearing any FA voices if you're using the cargo version.Cheers,

Bryan, I do have the update 1 and the European voice set downloaded and installed. I don't get all the FA voices but the one where he reads out the safetey instructions when I taxi. I will change to another voice set and see if it changes anything.Krister aka Rob ;)

Okay, let me know if you can reproduce it.Also, feel free to post it in the FS2Crew forum. Might be a better place for this discussion since this is the PMDG support forum.Cheers,
