July 29, 200916 yr Searching through all the cases on Newegg has made for a migrain. This has been the single most difficult piece to decide on. Motherboard, processor, RAM, all without a hitch.I'm looking for a good sized Extended ATX case with plenty of room at a decent price(under say $200-250). I'll be using the EVGA E760 CLASSIFIED MB with an IFX-14 cooler for the CPU. I want plenty of clearance, but don't want something I can park my car in :( Another thing, and I hate to sound like a girl (sorry ladies): Must have a black or black two tone finish, and no silly LEDs if I can help it. Good cooling is a must.Once I order this thing, I'll just have to wait for all the parts. :(I've been eyeing this one- Cooler Master ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

July 29, 200916 yr I'd look into something better in quality than Antec. I've done plenty of builds with Antec cases in the past but they were always a little on the cheesy side when put up next to a case from Lian Li or SilverStone.I'd take a look at some of the higher end aluminuim Lian Li's and SilverStone's that feature a removable motherboard tray -http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....mp;name=Lian-Lihttp://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....ame=SilverstoneAnother case that looks to be pretty decent for the money and uses aluminum construction is the CoolerMaster ATCS 840 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811119187

It's mostly aluminum, so despite its size it's relatively light. It's really big...be prepared for that...but I have an enormous Tuniq T120 CPU heatsink and it fits with the side fan bracket installed (you have to take out one of the four 120mm fans--it just snaps out).If you haven't already seen it, Coolermaster has a link to a couple videos on their site that go through the case in detail.I would have bought another one for the new build, except the Stacker 830 doesn't have access holes for water cooling lines. July 29, 200916 yr Author The Lian Lis and Silverstones are at the top of my list. The Antecs have always crossed me as borderline cheap, and I apologize to those who have purchased one. The Lis and Silverstones look more mature, if you ask me. Less like a 15 year olds' (Sorry again guys) toy. This thing will be sitting beside my computer desk in my room, in plain site. It's gotta look classy! ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

July 30, 200916 yr I know you said "under $250" but I will chime in... I was so impressed with the Silverstone TJ-07 for my first build, that I bought a 2nd one for my Skulltrail build. I don't remember the current price at newegg ($360) as what I paid for either of mine... more like $350+rebate but they are touting it as "next generation" whatever that means. This is one solid case with plenty of room for whatever. My 2nd system has 7 drives (4 in RAID0). 5 of them reside in the two 3x slideout Cages (fans on the end). The slideout mb Tray holds the D5400XS mb (12.0" x 13.0") and I have 2 power supplies currently residing in it. Never during the build was I ever, "crap, I wonder if that will fit." Everything fits well

July 30, 200916 yr Author Well, after payday I'm gonna go with the TJ07, I hate over spending my budget. :( Buyer's remorse. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
July 31, 200916 yr I must agree the TJ07 is one hell of a case.. its one of the best designed cases on the market especially for alternative cooling solutionsI've done one build with the TJ07 and it ended up getting sent back to Performance-pcs because of a very poor fit on the side panels. It could have obviously been a isolated issue but I wasn't impressed. The TJ07 does have better provisions for liquid cooling but if you're set on SilverStone I'd say stick with the TJ09-10. What has won me over as of late with Lian Li is all of the quality case accessories that you can choice from that leave SilverStone in the dust. The hard drive mounting system on my TJ09 does pale in comparison with how Lian Li has set things up with their higher end cases also.
