August 27, 200916 yr Make sure that the track clip or whatever it is you are using isn't being hidden by part of your headset/hat when turning your head in the direction where it gets stuck. I dont know what the new V5 software is like because I cant use it yet as I have a 'TIR 3 Pro Vector' but with the old version 4 software you could see an image of what the camera was seeing when you were editing a profile. Watch the black image with the 3 green coloured tracking points and see if one of them is becoming obstructed (gets a lot smaller or disappears) by something when you turn your head. You might even be going out of the field of view of the camera if you don't have it set up optimally. Cheers, Andy.
August 27, 200916 yr My advice: when you wear the Clip at the left of your head, put the TIR device at the left of your monitor! Don't put it in the middle of the monitor, but simply dead ahead of the clip: this will prevent problems with turning your head sideways. (Does the manual still say you have to put it in the middle of the monitor? If so, they should change that!)
August 27, 200916 yr Wow, Very cool. This is going to take some getting used to. Making me neck hurt....LOL. Any suggestions to help me get used to it would be nice!GaryI easily adapted to it. Just relax your neck.
August 27, 200916 yr I am using IR 4 with the version 5 software and I am having a little problem with YAW. I can turn my head to right and my view turns right, but I cannot turn to the left! It's as if the view gets stuck! When I check the "invert" box I get the opposite; I can turn to the left, but the right view gets stuck. Is there another setting that I am missing for YAW? I also use pitch, X and Y, but no roll. They appear to work OK.Thanks for any help!AirbusDefinately look at the camera view, in the upper right hand corner, and see if the points are being lost, when looking to the left.

I love my TRACK IR! I have been using TRACKIR4 version 4.1.030 on FS2004 for over a year and I cannot fly without it!When version 5 came out I decided to give it a try, but as you can see I have been having some problems. I don't know why version 5 will not work. I am using the same profile that I used for version 4.1.030, but no matter what I do I cannot get YAW to work properly. I looked at the camera view for version 5 and I do not see any difference from version 4.1.030 camera view which worked perfectly in yaw and other modes. So....I unistalled version 5 and installed version 4.1.037 and guess what. I am happy again!! Everything works fine. I think I will stay with 4.1.037.Thanks again!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
